Music streaming

Hello

I'm writing a program which music stream on the internet and ask yourself what is the best format to use. I am currently using AAC, but wishes to shorten the download time.

Play with Pandora, it takes like 30 seconds to download a song from 4 minutes and the quality is reasonable, curious to know what format they use.

Thank you!

Audio stream of Pandora using AAC + (HE - AAC), who usually sounds better than a steady stream of AAFC at the same speed of transmission, especially for lower rates.

  • Surface RT: Online music streaming cut the once lockscreen is committed

    When streaming music from various sites (e.g. Soundcloud.com) online music cuts when the lockscreen is committed after 5 minutes.  In any case to allow streaming when this happens, similar to applications on your smartphone, when they ask permission to continue to operate through your lockscreen.  After I put my password, the music continues.  Very boring because you can not just start to play music and let it run.  Any suggestions?

    Hi JKevinChu-

    Not sure whether you still have the problem, but that's how I bypassed the same problem with my Surface RT & Pandora streaming:

    (1) giving access to the office.

    (2) access control panel.

    (3) select 'Hardware & Sound' from the menu on the main screen.

    (4) select "Power Options" from the menu on the main screen.

    (5) select "Change when the computer sleeps", the list on the left side menu.

    (6) on the line entitled "Put the computer to sleep", in drop down choose never or a period extended by time.

    I could listen with the Tablet is plugged.

    When you are finished streaming you need to readjust some of these parameters to optimize energy consumption.  It was the only way I've found so far to achieve uninterrupted music streaming on the RT (IE prevent the computer mode "sleep").

    I hope this helps.

  • Use of local music streaming data

    I use a small network of stations express airport connected wireless to a airport extreme base for listening to local music to the speakers connected to the express stations. I noticed that my package is running much faster now. If steam local music uses sort to the top of my internet package? Also, as soon as the beam runs, I can't listen to music stored locally more extreme Airport stations. What is going on?

    The only way that streaming can locally add to your cap of the Internet is if the media server needs to access the Internet for a reason any perform streaming. Some examples could be that he needs access to the metadata of the song (art information or song of the album) or check its license.  Another is that the song is not really on a local media storage device, but is in the cloud.

    There are also a number of applications, that you can use to determine what local traffic is going to the Internet, at least of your computer if it hosts the media server.

    Some examples are:

  • Bluetooth music streaming problem - Kit Kat

    When streaming music to a Bluetooth device music sometimes radically curs in and out, sometimes a break as long as one or two seconds. Someone to another notice that and is there a solution?

    So I did a little search on the interwebs, and this problem is pretty widespread. Someone suggested the max of compensation, and I had never done this before. So, I checked my chashed data and I got more than 1.5 GB. I erased it and Bluetooth seems to work fine now. The source of the info also reset recommeded making a plant, but I'm not interested in doing that. I follow here in a few days to the report if the problem comes back.

  • Music streaming with Windows Media Player

    Have a new Smart TV, try streaming music from my laptop to the tv using "Play To". Streaming is set to automatically allow devices to read my media' and device (Panasonic Viera 40AS640) options allow all rankings of custom files. When I select any file of music in my library, and then select "Play To" it connects to the device, but when you select the file to read the error message "Media is not available" appears under the title of the track, replace the title of the Album and the name of the artist.

    Anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it? Music plays well through Media Player to my PC speakers, I have Windows 7 and Media Player installed (Version 12).

    The "Fix It" tool is useful and if the problem persists it is also running the tool from Microsoft FCS value too - follow the instructions on the page linked here...

    https://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Anyway - glad to hear it works fine now. Having finally got "play to" work I find I use it rarely - I only listen to music (to a Marantz music player) and "Airplay" is much better for it - he plays the Siamese tracks seamlessly, and I like the system of library iTunes also. That being said, I'd rather 'play to' work not!

    Cordially - Ric.

  • Windows Media Player 12 freezes windows 7 when the music streaming

    The settings used by Windows Media Player for multimedia streaming over the network are corrupt. This could prevent you from playing the content that is streamed, as opposed to the content that is completely downloaded before it be played.

    Hello silvanfay,

    When you get the blue screen on your computer? What were you doing when it appeared?

    Have you changed your save location of your music files?
    If so, to try to resolve the problem, open Explorer, under libraries, click the music tab and click Properties. Now make sure that your backup folder of choice is defined as your backup location. If not, click it and then click on the button "game save loction". It is perhaps one of your configuration settings which are not correct.

    Have you tried to reset your Windows Media Player in "programs and features"?

  • I use Itunes for music streaming from my R7000?

    I set up a server of music on a hard disk, which would be attached to my R7000.

    Does the use of Itunes? If this is the case, I don't bother because I can't stand Itunes. I can listen to music from a connected hard disk R7000 using DLNA generic? I want to run on multiple devices, including Win7 and Win10 PCs and as a PS3.

    Thanks for any help.

    The R700 supports DLNA native and also exports the file system with SMB.

  • MP3 Music streaming

    OK, I use the following code right now because it works. But this option means that the mp3 must be in the SWF making load time is not what I was looking for.

    mySong.mp3 has the instance of "music".

    var height: Sound = new Sound();
    tune.attachSound ("music", true);
    tune. Start();

    play_mc.onPress = function() {}
    tune. Stop();
    tune. Start();
    }

    stop_mc.onPress = function() {}
    tune. Stop();
    }

    Now what I would do is remove the MP3 on the flash file and use this code to call the mySong.mp3 to listen to music and play. This is the code I have tried to use Action Script 2.0. Of course, the MP3 is located in the same directory that the published MusicPlayer.swf is located. This however does not listen and read my mp3 file. Any help would be great.

    var height: Sound = new Sound();
    tune.attachSound ("mySong.mp3", true);
    tune. Start();

    play_mc.onPress = function() {}
    tune. Stop();
    tune. Start();
    }

    stop_mc.onPress = function() {}
    tune. Stop();
    }

    Using loadSound instead of attachSound. and you don't need that tune.start () after your statement loadSound().

  • Streaming music Amazon Watch

    I'm considering the purchase of a new Apple Watch (more precisely, the Nike + version). However, my current music running source is Amazon Prime music streaming to my iPhone 6. Will be the new one be able to do it with or without phone? What about Pandora music streaming?

    Note: I am aware of the ability to load playlists of music from Apple to the watch, but I don't want to pay Apple's music subscription fees.

    Thank you!

    Will be the new one be able to do it with or without phone? What about Pandora music streaming?

    Sorry but no.

  • Subscription music Apple will allow streaming of DRM protected songs ITunes on Sonos?

    Apple allows music streaming of DRM protected songs ITunes on Sonos?

    For several years, I was unable to play a lot of songs that I bought from ITunes on my Sonos system because of the DRM protections.  In the past, the only option was to manually delete songs or albums and then re - download via ICloud.  Because I have a few thousand songs with DRM protection this option was and remains completely unrealistic.  Does anyone know if the new music from Apple on Sonos announced will allow playback of all your music ITunes (DRM protected and even burned a ripped to CD) across the platform of Sonos?  Thank you!

    Yes and no. Apple music is like iTunes game that all your music is offset by the Apple servers. Any music that is offset by the server is not getting downloaded. Only music that is not put into correspondence is downloaded. Sonos will play your music Server Apple not your computer for any music with DRM that was paired successfully can be read. All music that cannot be matched is downloaded and when Sonos tries to play it - it will fail. Google Match and DRM iTunes for more information.

  • How to stop streaming music becomes interrupted each time I have navigate between Web pages?

    Hello

    Can someone help me? I have laptop HP compaq-ish (250 GB CQ62), which I use for the two WIFI internet surfing and the listen/streaming music a lot (youtube / grooveshark / bearshare etc.). I tend to use IE9, Firefox and google chrome browsers, but the problem I have with them is, whenever I'm in Internet music streaming, and separately, internet browsing, whenever I click on a new Web page, the music is momentarily interrupted, a fraction of a second after I clicked. Several clicks means several interruptions, which is infuriating!

    Is there a way I can stop these interruptions? More cleaning of mobile memory space would make a difference (its on a full quarter), or is it to do with bandwidth instead? Or is it just my laptop makeup?

    Thank you very much!

    Bronzeharness, welcome to the forum.

    Looks like you have bandwidth problems.  When you try to complete several tasks of the connection Internet can not just keep it up.  You can contact your ISP to see if they can give you ideas on how to solve the problem.  There may be some parameters that can be changed to help.

  • Apple and iPod Classic music please help

    Hello

    I have an iPod classic which I use for a number of speakers, I am owner and you use in my car.

    I am able to download music from Apple's music in my iTunes and then sync with my iPod Classic? This will allow me to use Apple music with my iPod Classic?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Songs downloaded from the Apple music streaming service subscription have DRM (copy protection) which prevents loading on iPod (except iPod touch).  The computer or device must have an Internet connection to check your subscription music from Apple.
