  Hello

  I got an opportunity here 8530p (GW682AV) running with a Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4. This would normally be enough CPU power, but for several reasons, I need a faster processor. And I don't want to buy a new laptop.

  I had a look at a few web sites to research what is possible for this cute laptop and discovered that the fastest CPU ever integrated in the Elitebook 8530p was a T9600 2.8 GHz.

  Now to my question. Intel produces CPU up to Core 2 Duo T9900 who use the same PGA478 socket. So normally this CPU should work. But:

  The latest version of the BIOS of the Elitebook 8530p them support?

  Each indicator of answeror is very appreciated!

  I don't see any BIOS date of issue which adds support for other processors.

  Hello, just ordered a new battery for my HP elitebook 8530p how long should I charge the battery before first use it is a brand new in the box battery and I have no idea how much time the first charge must be so, how well do the battery until I use it for the first time

  Please recharge the battery until it shows fully charged to 100% and then start using it.

  How to improve the life of a battery:

  1. it is not advisable to use the laptop when the adapter is plugged

  2. it is not advisable to keep the power supply plugged in even though the battery is fully charged

  3. you must drain the battery completely before recharging it again

  4. Power Plan must be set correctly for extended battery life

  5. Please keep the brightness of the screen to the lower level

  6. Please turn off the Wi - Fi Connection when not in service

  7. remove the disc from the optical drive when not in use

• Maximum resolution of external monitor for hp elitebook 8530p?

  I just bought this laptop (chart below), but in some ways, the resolution is not quite high for me. (1280 x 800) These things able to equip an external monitor with a higher resolution? I apologize if this is the kind of a newbie question. Explanations/advice appreciated. TIA

  I got this laptop, now, my mother uses it.

  It can operate up to 1920 x 1200 on VGA or HDMI external display.

  Tested it myself.

  Maybe, it can run even higher resolution.

  VGA has supposedly limitless resolution and HDMI 1.4 can run up to 4 k resolutions.

  Do not know if the laptop supports higher resolutions of 1920 x 1200.

• 8530p - No. 5.1 channel audio on HDMI

  Has anyone got anything else than 2 channels of audio over HDMI on the Elitebook 8530p? I tried different drivers directly from ATI and HP. I tested it on Windows XP x 86 and x 64 Win7. Windows always lists the configuration of stereo audio channels 2 channels. Is this a limitation of the hardware?

  Your model, when the AC adapter is plugged in, the light load (at the front left of the laptop) shows the different States of charge.

  Amber = load needs

  Blue = charged

  Off = no load (battery is fully charged).

  You can also right-click the battery icon on the lower right side of the Windows task bar, which tells you the % of load, and if the power is plugged in and in charge,

  Yes, it's a 7200 RPM drive. You can't pass 32-bit of Windows Xp to WIndows 7 64 - bit, so that would require a reinstall of the OS and CS5. You have so much memory that XP can manage. Your computer with Windows 7 64-bit and 8 GB of RAM would be at least twice as effective execution of Photoshop. Since you do not need to upgrade the hard drive, you can buy just the memory (you need of DDR2 800 mhz SO-DIMM) and buy 64-bit Windows 7 (Home Premium would work fine). I would add that CS5 is having a few problems and is not well regarded in the Photoshop community. My wife has both CS4 and CS5 and says she uses 4 very much more frequently.

  I've been looking for awhile now on where to buy and how to install a second battery for my hp elitebook 8540p. I go to school and do not want to lug the power cord from every day. I saw the external battery packs online that would be just as large as the power brick. is it possible to install the second battery without comprimising width too?

• Remove HP System Diagnostics UEFI

  I installed HP System Diagnostics UEFI (SP52407) on my Elitebook 8530p running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

  I want to uninstall this program if possible it's my failure of System Image backups.

  The new partion created by this program is FAT 32 and Windows 7 will not save, NTFS only.

  When I click on create new system image, it is said that the following drives will be saved:

  (C (System))

  HP_tools (F (System) with no option to remove this.)  And if I chose my own thing same backup.

  While I can uninstall it somehow? (does not appear in the programs) or should I delete just the partion?  Not sure if this will help to either.

  I have a HP elitebook 8540w laptop with Windows 7. It is advisable to upgrade to windows 10?

  @Mrstenter, I don't think you understand the topic at hand.

  HP Support Assistant won't see 10 Windows is a viable OS for this laptop, so, it will not find something for her.

  While most of the components have in fact several updates, available from the OEM component, HP has been terrible to sustain this business 'quality' "Élite" mobile Workstation.

  The Support Site for the 8540w was a mess, and terribly inconsistent, almost all the time it was available, it's a big reason that when it was time for an update of the platform, I went for a Dell M4800 instead of the EliteBook/ZenBook/s comparible.

  Now, @Bredzy , insofar as Windows 10 is concerned; I leave the upgrade happens to mine:

  I tried 8 and 8.1 on it and went back to 7 times.

  10 has been good so far.

  All the drivers I have in place before the upgrade were still in place after the upgrade, which was nice, and same OneDrive is synchronization, despite the fact that I am not connect with my hotmail account.

  If you do not rely on the card mobile broadband, you'll be probably a bit stuck here.

  I have not tried the once again fingerprint reader, again, because even in 7, the weird mix of validity and ProtectTools jived never really for me, besides, PT integrated only with IE, which I almost never use, so it was pretty useless once the laptop is unlocked at the start.

  If you want to get most of your drivers updated before the upgrade, links here is what I use, from legitimate sources (Intel, AMD or Nvidia, HP)
