Must I first uninstall the old version of Photoshop?

Anywhere in the FAQ section or installation instructions installation instructions, text or video, I can't find any reference to the need or the absence of the need to uninstall an earlier version of Photoshop before you download and install the latest version. Specifically I will be upgrading from CS2 to CS5.

Should so I guess it is not necessary? And if yes, it would be wise once the upgrade completed, this then I must uninstall CS2?

Thank you

I forgot to mention that I use an old but competent office which fine funtions using CS2. 32-bit Windows, XP Home Edition Sp3, 2.56 GB of RAM.

There is no need to uninstall the CS2 before or after. If you think that some things are easier to do in CS2, creating presentations, PDF etc. (now moved to the bridge)
