  Hello all I had the same problem what I did was just go to (System) then (Device Manager) and then (audio, video and game controllers).
  Under there you will find a right click (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) top and choose Update driver software and select (find the automatically...) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION.

  This did the job for me, hope it does the same for you.

  I would will direct you to your device manager and check on your current audio drivers.

  1. open the Device Manager, if you do not know how to click on this link

  2. open the sound, video and game controllers

  3. right click on IDT High-Definition

  4 left-click on properties

  5. click on the tab at the top driver

  See what is the current driver if the driver is older that this pilotplease update this driver.

  Also install this HP Quicklaunch softwareas well.

  Please answer as soon as possible.

  I solved the problem myself, but I don't know how!

  First of all, I used the recovery DVDs to restore windows. I saw "running windows for the first time" and all but the problem was still there. So I tried to downgrade my bios to 1.30 (it was 1.31) but I have found the bios file (thank God!).

  But after a few updates from Lenovo (power management, audio colleague and...) the problem was gone.

  Now everything works.

  OK, let's try another driver and a slightly different method.  Download the following Installer and save it on your desktop.

  IDT Audio Installer

  Once download completed, right click on the installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation - ignore any warnings that you have already installed a driver later, just continue to install it.  When finished, restart the computer and check the status of the IDT audio device in Device Manager and let me know.

  Do you mean the Fn + F11 key combination?
  AFAIK the FN + F11 mutes the sound from the laptop

  Fn + F12 activates and disables the internal Wi - Fi and a Bluetooth module.

  Do you need to press the FN button to use the function key?
  You can configure the key operating mode by selecting the mode of special function or Standard F1 - F12. This would use the function keys with or without the extra FN key-press.

  I also recommend the application of the function of Toshiba key.
  You can find it in Desktop-> Desktop Assistant (in the task bar)-> utility tools & -> Toshiba function key

  Please perform the below shown steps as shown below to solve the problem

  Step 01. Turn off the laptop

  Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

  Step 04. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  Step 05. Turn on the computer laptop and tapping F10 during boot to enter the BIOS Menu

  Step 06. Please press the F5 key, once to load the default settings in the BIOS of your laptop

  Step 07. Press ESC, save the changes and exit - Yes

  Note: Incase if you still have the same problem after performing these steps, it would be a hardware problem, that I highly recommend to Contact HP Support by phone to get help without delay to get your Notebook diagnosed and repaired by an authorized HP Certified Engineer

  I have a laptop Toshiba L50-10-to-10 q running BIOS Version 1.30 and THIS Version 1.10.
  I've recently updated to Windows 8 for Windows Pro 8.1.

  I followed the update instructions found on the driver download page.
  All modules (Wifi, Bluetooth, etc.) and the function keys work just fine.

  However, the status LED does not work correctly.
  For Wifi, the status light is always off, even when the Wifi is turned on and connected.

  The State LED to the touchpad is also always off, even when it is disabled.
  SEEING supply and load indicator work fine.
  All the State LED worked correctly before the 8.1 update WIN.

• Receiver LifeChat ZX - 6000 LED does not illuminate.

  When I bought the camera it worked perfectly for a period of time over 2 years. Unfortunately I uninstalled the original however drivers.

  I installed the drivers that I could find for the Lifechat 1.4 which is supposed to work for my Vista Home Edition. I lost my CD so I can't use it. After installing the drivers Microsoft Lifechat appears in my programs under the control panel. I plugged the receiver in 6 different USB ports on my computer and the receiver LED does not illuminate indicating that it is not recognized. All 6 of these ports USB detects other material immediately.

  Is there a separate driver just to the receiver that may not be included in the Microsoft Lifechat 1.4? Any ideas as to why this is happening?

  Try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you are finished, close the laptop by holding down the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to stop temporarily a boot hybrid.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  After reinstalling Chipset, stop the laptop - for this by holding down the left SHIFT key you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a boot hybrid.
