MX922 scan multipage pdf

Hello

Using a new MX922, connected to a wired network, Vista and Win7 PCs. I can't find an article on scanning in the user guide. I want to scan 2-10 pages printed in a single PDF document. I have tried both from the document feeder and put the individual leaves on the tree, but the output (whether via the PC interface or printer) is multiple PDFs, one for each page.

What I am doing wrong? Also tried selecting multiple pages, by clicking on create a pdf file, but the output remains at 1/1 page (?)

Thanks in advance,

Bo

Scan multiple pages into a single file, the easiest method is to start the scan from the printer itself so that your PC's on the network.  In the printer setup screens, select the pdf file and the menu Save/before him say to send the file to the computer.  When the screen comes up saying ' Forward scanned data to the computer, press OK and select the file to send to your computer.  Make sure you click OK after you select Duplex instead of simply return to a higher menu level or the setting duplex will be lost.  This has worked for me for several hundred documents and is OK if your printer is close.

    Product: HP Officejet 4620

I have a MacBook OS 10.6.8 and use the preview to scan in PDF format. I would like to analyze multi-page PDF files and do check 'Create a unique document' and use the document feeder. When he ends up feeding the pages, I see the message «no paper fed...» ». No file is created in the folder I chose. I tried other types of files to scan (JPG, PNG and PDF single-page files) and they have the correct results. Any thoughts? It works fine if I use another brand of all-in-One with the same computer. I also did an update of the firmware, and who doesn't is not improved with anything whatsoever.

    Hello

You can copy multiple pages in the ADF with no problems?

Please try copying blank pages to check the operation of the equipment.

The model currently comes with a comprehensive software solution available from HP.com.

As there are no driver for your device in the most recent drivers for printer HP provided by Apple, you must analyze using the HP Scan 3 application. scan from preview or Capture of Image is not possible according to the list above.

Installed the software of complete functionality on your Mac?

You see any different when parsing through the HP Application Scan 3? (You'll find it under Applications > Hewlett-Packard).

If you can't find the Hewlett-Packard folder, install the full feature software.

Be sure to select the Software from HP recommended during installation.

  • Help me buy a new all-in-one which will scan to pdf with preview multipage

I need a new all-in-one, like the OfficeJet HP 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer, which I watched in a store.  The box was not clear about the capabilities.

What I do with old HP all-in-one on an old XP, (11-12 years) old machine is scanning documents to preview multipage PDF, so I can adjust the margins and other things, and if I did not have many PDF files for a multi-page document.  I do this a LOT, I need, it is not a such PITB.    I have not found a way to do this with the printers I have, my new computer so I have to go do it on a slow XP machine in another room.  I can only print at the old printer to my new computer.

I'm used to using the HP, but those I have is old, my old XP machine (6 years) so it is more reliable and my new computer Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit, and Windows 7 drivers for my old all-in-one are not full function, if they still exist, plus we have several computers and tablets on our network now.   None of the older all-in-one I will do what I need for my new computer, if they'll even install (you look, Dell).

What I need to know, it's done with Windows 7 on HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer?  (Scan multipage PDF with the HP software preview.) The info on the box was not clear.  If not, is there a model preferably wireless all-in-one that will work for me?  I can plug it into a USB port on my new computer, there are several USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.  I would like to be able to print wireless from other devices, but this isn't a deal breaker.  I don't want to have to download a few fragmentary shareware or buy a high price to accomplish what I was able to do with the software before HP, on old all-in-one.

    That's what I needed.  Why hell isn't in the ^ & *) & ^ % manual?

  • Automation of several scanned page PDF export to Excel

We have MANY PDF files scanned at work (about 8 400) that we need to export to Excel. There are a few tricky parts to what I'm trying to find out if there is a way to automate this. These are all individual PDF files, but I know that I could convert them all to a multipage PDF, if I need to, that shouldn't be a problem. The major problem being that we want only a small part of all files PDF, the upper left corner that has some basic information (name and address) to be exported to an Excel worksheet. The rest of the PDF file is not required. If that helps anything on the automation of formatting are simple page PDF. Anyone know if this is possible?

I asked this in the PDF forum, but someone suggested to ask in the forum of java script instead.

It can be done, most likely, but it would be a custom script to extract the text from the desired coordinates and then export it to a format that can be read using Excel (for example, a text file delimited by tabs). This is not a simple task, however.

  • How to scan to PDF of my PSC 1215 using windows 7?

    Al-in-one-HP PSC 1215

just installed on the new laptip running Windows 7

Former HP Director disappeared and the built-in Windows software will only scan a document in JPG, PNG, BMP formats and a sheet at a time. How to scan in PDF format as before, and how can I be sure that several pages document sweeps as a document not as unique files?

    Hello JPRRyan

Scan to PDF is not available when you use the built in Windows drivers. Since there is no software of full functionality for the PSC 1215 in Windows 7, you will need to find software of third parties to scan in PDF format.

I heard good things about VueScan, but I also suggest you do a web search of your favorite for scan software PDF search engine.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today to solve problems PDF Scan that you encounter on your HP Deskjet 3055a e-all-in-one printer on your computer Windows 8.1. Because the product is able to scan JPEG files very well we know at this time that the hardware on your product is very good. Because PDF files rely on a PDF reader to manage and view the PDF scans it maybe a problem with the PDF reader on your computer.

Now, you mentioned that you use the desktop Panel. Do you mean the control panel of the printer or the scanner software HP desktop computer?

How to scan from HP scanning software:

    1. on the desktop of your computer, open the HP printer Assistant. It should look like a black printer icon on your desktop ().

    2. once the Printer Wizard opens, select scan a Document or Photo

    3. once scanning HP launches, choose Save as PDF

    4. load a test on your product page and click Scan on the HP software on your computer

    This scan and register successfully?

How to scan from the printer control panel:

    1. on the product control panel, press the button () next to Scan.

    2. press the button () next to the down arrow () to scroll and select your computer.

    3. press the button () next to the name of the computer on which you want to save the scan. The product scans the document or image and then stores it in a PDF file to the computer.

    This scan and register successfully?

If the two methods don't scan PDF on your computer, please try loading the latest version of Adobe Reader and again test the scan function.

    Adobe Reader

Please let me know if the steps I have provided to resolve your problem. Good luck!

Is there a way to change this?

  • HP Officejet Pro e-all-in-8625: 8625 Officejet update won't scan to PDF

Recently, last week, I allowed a HP printer update which will be held in this printer: HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-all-in-one printer.

Today, I tried to scan a document on a USB key as a pdf (which I do quite often).  When I transferred the file to my computer, Acrobat has notified that the file has been corrupted or damaged.  I finally analyzed as a jpg image and then used Photoshop to save images in PDF and Acrobat format and then merge to images in the file of two pages, I wanted to and save it as a small PDF.  Obviously, this is not good.

Can I roll back the update?  Or is there a solution?

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.  My apologies for jumping in here.

You can download and install the software COMPLETE features of HP printing for your operating system:

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, FULL of features, you will be able to print and scan.

Would you use the scan software FULL of scanning to PDF features, he amputates a step of your file transfer PDF scanned the USB to the computer.
