• It is worth buying an IBook G4?

  So I just need a laptop for the classification of documents and browsing the internet whenever I'm out, but not to download programs, I'm wondering if a G4 IBook could meet my needs.

  The iBook is a good machine, but in today's modern web, it is slow. Even with TenFourFox is can be slow. However if you're patient it can be done. PowerPC machines like the iBook G4 cannot run all modern browsers if most of the sites don't load properly. This was TenFourFox comes in. It is a fork of Mozilla Firefox and is always supported on the G4 and G3 even.

  Processor is fine on these machines. iWork 09 works pretty well and Microsoft Word 2004 works but is a bit slow on the PowerPC Mac for a reason any. Open Office is free and is quick (just look for an older version). Processor is easy on the material and does not require a high-end computer.

  Another thing to keep in mind is battery-operated. More original batteries do not hold a charge, so buying a replacement is probably necessary. Third-party batteries are cheap but are not always the best quality.

  It really depends on what you do on the web. PowerPC Macs are dead in the water when it comes to YouTube or video service. But with TenFourFox, General web searches should be good. In FFT, you can optimize the browzer do if it is faster. A simple Google search should give answers.

  I've owned several Macs PowerPC and all serve me well. But the question is it worth buying? I would say that try IT... These machines are cheap and they move things forward. Web browsing is slow, but written document is fine. Even if you don't like the performance of these machines can run tons of great software but also run Mac OS 9.

  Intel based Macbooks 2006-2008 models fell in price also. It's an option as well. These Macs run faster and manage modern browsers.

  Remember that if you buy and iBook, you need to do some research on this kind of software, it can work. Apple stopped supporting these PPC machines in 2007. Any software that is "Universal" on the box will run on Intel and PPC as iWork 09.

  Hey guys, Im a proud owner of Sony Xperia Z (c6603) and I use my Xperia Z for more than two years now. I use my phone for multimedia use as listening to music, watching videos and games (MKX and asphalt) on a daily basis with Wifi connected most of the time. My Xperia Z still works well with an average battery life and performance is good. I accidentally dropped my phone the times lot, more than I remembered and still there is no broken screen or glass. Some of the problems I encounter are: 1.Camera: lack of shutter of the camera, Autofocus lag and poor low light performance. 2.Speaker: performance avg and 3 gal under heavy use (gal any offset between the apps). So I'm planing on upgrading to Xperia Z2 and I'd like know if Xperia Z2 would be satisfactory or should I go for Z3 or Z3 +?

  I had the z2 for 18 months the camera is leagues away from the mega pixels announced that he quite poor aspecialy in low light conditions. You'll also earing good for listening to music without headphones or in deed to hear phone calls or messages. I dream to get near ether water. Other than that, it's OK.

  Unfortunatelly, matrix LCD in my computer laptop Toshiba Tecra S2 came down and I need to replace it. Initially, it came with 15 "1024 x 768 resolution display, but I discovered that some Tecra S2s were shipped with LCD resolution 1400 x 1050.
  So here's my question: is it possible to replace my LCD 1024 x 768 with 1400 x 1050 one? If so, how do you? I need to change something on the mobo, BIOS update, maybe it's done automatically? Or, if there is no such possibility, please break it to me gently; P

  You can buy exactly the display on the right from the same manufacturer but in resolution 1400 x 1050.
  The reason is that the screens have different connectors.

  I'm not a developer, but I know you're going to need a macbook pro. It's too slow a processor to do what you are wanting to do wayyyyyyyyyyyyy. 1.6 ghz is for normal tasks such as navigation. You certainly need to do a few upgrades to the Air of Macbook 13 inch if you are wanting to do the development. I suggest strongly a faster processor and at least 8 GB of RAM. You will want to get a Macbook you will have more work, because it will have a much shorter life if abuse you it, that is why I suggest the Pro. Have you checked the refurbished Macbook Pro? I think you could find one close to your price range! If this isn't the case, except a little bit of money, it is not too hard!

  I read on issues such as

• Power of the satellite S3000 - X 4 question.

  I got an S3000 - X 4 to look at, and I can't seem to find the problem. (I searched these Forums and Google before this announcement and can't seem to find a result)

  The Machine lights.

  I had the original power supply, Battery, DVD player and memory. If I hit the power button the camera seems to try to start up, the hum of hard drive noise, the led power and HD light turn green (alternating current is already on), happening for about 5 seconds, then it stops everything and let me just with the AC power light.

  I tried to use a different power supply with the same output (voltage and AMPS), and the same thing happens.

  I removed the battery, just on the AC and still the same thing. This too after the DVD-Rom has been removed, and even I remove the memory and he gave a wipe incase it was a bad connection.

  When the battery is connected, I get a flashing Orange (about 1 second for 4 seconds) I guess that's the charge of the battery? Although my Acer laptop, when he is in charge there is static, I don't know if Toshiba shows differently.

  If I just have the battery connected, and no current it won't start at all, so I think the battery is dead, and flashing errors say maybe the battery does not charge, but with him does not not on AC only, it's confusing me.

  from your description of the symptoms, I suspect a faulty motherboard. As you say rightly, the laptop must turn on without the battery in place, so I think that can be eliminated as a possible cause.

  Having removed / clean the modules of RAM as well as the optical drive only hard disc and even if it didn't it should still turn on the laptop.

  I have a 1900-S303 Satellite that has a broken screen. The hard drive and ram have been removed by the previous owner. If I turn on the laptop it gives 3 long beeps and does not appear on an external monitor.   It is quite possible that the machine will beep when no RAM is available.
  To help with the dilemma of new parts - consider the following:
  Summarize the price for new modules of RAM and a hard drive again.
  Contact an ASP and ask them for the price of the screen for this model (you must be precise because there are several models of the 1900 series!).
  How much is it? Compare it aware of the prices for the kind of machine you need (laptop / desktop/performance and so on). Then it should be easy to judge how to proceed.
