  Thanks for all your help.  I solved the problem by turning off the computer, open the computer case and disconnect the cable card 9 in 1 black of the motherboard.  Then I restarted the computer and it re-installed device drivers (message Windows came).  For the first time, card reader devices actually appeared in Device Manager.  Then I turned off the computer, reconnect the cable black and rebooted.  Now everything works fine.

  After searching for and buying touch screen FT200HQL, it does work with my HP Pavilion laptop dv7-5000, Windows 7, 64-bit.  I have the USB cable is connected (even if it says that it is optional in user's Guide - not an option if you want the touchscreen to work).  I tried it with an Acer, Gateway and an another HP Pavilion laptop (all Win 7), & it works perfectly with them, but not w / mine.  All my drivers are up to date.  (Although there is not driver site Acer for the FT200HQL for Win 7 & I don't think that what they have listed as a driver for Win 8 is a pilot).  A Microsoft Search to ensure the compatibility of the FT200HQL compatible shows and there's nothing I should do.  Help, please!  I really like the monitor & don't want to send again, but I bought it mainly for the touch screen feature.

After installing all my software and using the laptop for a while now, I wanted to get into the Bios that I've never done. So when I started the laptop, click ESC, then F10 to enter the BIOS, there were two places to enter a password is different then all Dell I've ever owned. One was mine I guees I put in place using HP protect tools and the other says BIOS/administrator. Well I can do most of the changes with the one I put in place with my password but my password does not work, nor can I get in some very significant changes that I wanted to do using Bios/administrator, as kindling the LoJack, namely the blocking of the hard drive etc. , turning on turbo boost, fan, etc. Well, since the person I bought is no longer with us, there is no one to turn to the answer to this question of administrator/BIOS password / problem.  I tried to take battery Rtype and restore that way, didn't work. Several times, I called HP and they sent me to a BIOS page to download the same BIOS, I have already, would not let me install it.   XW4300 workstation has been recently updated to Windows 7 from XP pro.  After the update, the system clock did not keep accurate time, then I entered the BIOS Setup and set the time here.  After several hours, I rebooted, entered the BIOS configuration and noticed clock BIOS had not changed.  I replaced the CMOS (CR2032) battery with three different batteries and BIOS clock does not always change.

  Occasionally, Windows 7 system clock will synchronize to the BIOS clock, which creates the incorrect time in Windows. I can see these events in the system event log.

  Is it possible that this problem is related to the Win 7 upgrade, or is it a problem without a report?  Suggestions to control or fix the BIOS clock beyond what has been done so far?  If I can't fix the BIOS clock, is it possible to prevent the synchronization of the clock in the BIOS Win 7?

  I have not found a CLRRTC jumper on the 4300.  Is there a jumper to reset the password (E49), and a CMOS reset button.

  However, I tried to reinstall the battery with power supply cable disconnected, and it reset the CMOS all anyway.  Reset the CMOS seems to have solved the problem.  BIOS clock has now begun to follow the exact time again.  I rebooted several times now, and the time is now correctly.
