  I have a Tecra M3, being older, I have the device plugged into the widescreen TV.
  It is fine until I want to watch a DVD or video file.

  I get the office and the outline of the Media Player or Real Player but no video, just a black section on the screen where the DVD should be.

  However the video played on the laptop normally.

  I tried to watch a DVD on the TV by using software WinDVD one always got a black screen on TV.

  I use bootcamp for over a year now and it has worked perfectly well. But what restartng time to time, my laptop always automatically start under bootcamp or at least try and I get balck screen with a few numbers and the words flashing and eventually as a terminal empty full screen like looking for screen, I can not type or use any F keys at all. only way out of here is to force kill the laptop and start selecting osx manually.  Someone at - it an idea on what's the problem here? Or maybe even a solution? Would be grateful. If need be I can get more information with diskutil, but everything we tried only had results that have no meaning.

  Only option was the removal of the partition and replace (hours of work unfortunately). I save a backup of all my old data so I shouldn't have lost any data using a program that supports ntfs disks when you use OSX, it is called NTFS for Mac OS x, and it offers a free trial version.

  I just installed vista Ultimate edition. Whenever I start a black screen appears for 3 to 4 minutes before the grean bar screen

  I installed vista on 2 different machines both gives the same problem

  Contact the manufacturer of your computer and get the most recent update of the BIOS (for your version of Vista) and install it and see if that makes a difference.  Also check the BIOS settings to confirm that they are all correct and appropriate for the new operating system.

  When I start my computer it comes up with Windows Error Recovery - with the following options

  • Safe mode
  • Safe mode with networking
  • Safe mode with command prompt or
  • Start windows normally

  After each of these options, it will come with my login page, once I typed my password the screen becomes completely black with nothing on the screen but the cursor!

  Try the following.

  Boot the computer normally and log.

  Black screen, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.

  Select Task Manager.

  Click on file and select the new task.

  Type rstrui - also enter a tick in the box for "create this task with administrative privileges" - and click on Ok.

  Which driver do you have exactly? You should try the new driver to display on the Toshiba site. The drivers from ATI directly not designed for mobile cards!

  I recently updated to iOS 10 and shortly after started to see Chinese characters on my lock screen, under the date and time. I checked the language and region settings and see only English and selected Philippines which is correct. Don't know what that other settings I need to change? I also tried to change my lock screen and the same characters are still there.
