My CC InDesign refuses to export to any format

Hello

I am designing an interactive catalogue using the digital publishing suite as he prepares for printing. My Indesign document is more or less 400 pages with approximately 1400 images of products.

My creative cloud refuses to export to any format that it just hangs. Please could someone advise me on this subject?

Thank you

I posted steps on the FAQS on the main page to resolve this behavior

  • Is it possible to generate the FDM export to .xml format file?

    Hello world

The file output and its formatting is defined/created in the Export Action of each adapter FDM script. You can modify this script to print the file exported in any format you want. However, I don't see why you want to do for the entire target specific adapters supplied with FDM, well if we talk about changing the default output of the adapter then PULL, this would be where you would bring changes. There is no magic switch that automatically does for you :-)

Two invites on 1 page in Indesign that when exporting to adobe reader in pdf format, I can simply add new names that populate both copies and then be printable. Any help out there is how to make an invitation in Indesign, but now how to make 2 copies on a single page that someone else ie the customer can add their own names. So each field name must complete on both guest. Sounds simple, but is not really there to help. I think he called an interactive pdf. Thanks in advance.

AutoFill is the easiest part, he lies. If both fields have the same name, they will have the same content: type in one and it appears in the other.

  • InDesign doesn't Export PDF

I will try to retrace my steps as I can in case something here is part of the problem.

I had a file for the work I did on my home computer, a Mac with InDesign 5.5. I brought the file to work on a flash drive, but the InDesign here is v.5. I downloaded the trial version of CS6 so I could save it as a legacy file and continue working. Now, it will not be exported to PDF format. When, in version 5, the asterisk appears next to the file name as if it did the task (and when I right click on the computer in the demand for labour is that Windows it shows he made the PDF, but when I click on it, it says it cannot locate.) Trying to export now works in CS6, although he has not yesterday... I can just export over there to get the file, but the CS6 is only a test and I'm going to need CS5 to work again for me.

In addition, exporting to a factory of jpeg with CS5, it seems that the PDF is the only one with a problem.

Any ideas how to fix? Thanks in advance!

  • InDesign will not export as intense Black blacks in PDFs!

Hello, I have my preferences checked Indesign to display and export blacks in dark black. But PDF files show that 100K not rich black Black! This only happens if I export a PDF file ready, but a PDF low resolution shows as dark black.

I'm guessing this has something to do with settings ready PDF to CMYK? Or color profiles? Im confused!

I had this problem for about a year, she makes me crazy. Its really annoyng if I want to show a customer a PDF file and all of the appearance of black, gray and washed out.

I would like to rerally appreciate any help with this!

    Thanks :))

Handling of Black preferences are for RGB devices, like desktop printers. I know not all professionals who use other thing than printing and display all blacks options precisely because we want to know what to expect on press there are three ways to obtain fills when you export to PDF:

    1. define blacks as black RGB, not the 100% K default [Black] swatch and export to CMYK.

2 export to any CMYK color space other than that you have defined for your workspace and choose the option to preserve appearance.

3 set a rich black shade and use for these elements, as you feel it dark black.

#3 is by far the best choice. Others will convert your type of overlay 100% K type 4 colors which knocks out and your printer you hate.

  • Satellite NB10t-A-101 refuses to boot from any external media

I just bought a NB10t to the United Kingdom and try to boot to a bootable USB key

I noticed that the BIOS on this particular model is UEFI mode only, which, in itself, is not a problem because users can sign their own operating systems with a certification authority and use them, but this laptop refuses to boot from any external environment... or even to provide an error message.

I changed boot priority in the BIOS and USB moved up
I disabled the Secure Boot option in the BIOS
I tried all 3 USB ports as well as 3 different drives (NOTE: THESE WORK FINE ON the 3 OTHER SYSTEMS, a dell desktop/laptop computer and a computer acer laptop)
I also tried different distributions (Debian & Arch)
I used several installation methods (hard install of Unetbootin/Full/Rufus etc...)
I tried all your currently released BIOS versions (delivery with V1.0, V1.1 - Jan Feb - V1.2)

After trying all these when you press F12 at startup, the shows start menu but when you select a device, the system continues to initiate (Win8) HARD drive

After Googling around, I noticed that you have unlocked 2 BIOS updates I tried all versions of these and still the system refuses to boot in my selected device

Can we expect more updates of the firmware in the near future? Is there a way to work around this problem to start my chosen OS? Is there an option of CSM?

    Edit: punctuation

    Hello

Your laptop was equipped with the new processor Intel Celeron 2810 n that belongs to the Bay Trail-M architecture.
This new * Intel Bay Trail * technology is only supported systems that support UEFI and systems (Win 8, 8.1 Win) and, therefore, the UEFI / CSM boot mode option isn't available in the BIOS settings.

_So you can install only a system capable of UEFI

How to record down version Cloud Creative InDesign CS5? Exported as a file .idml but still the messages that plug-ins are missing, although CS5 confirms it is fully updated.

Yes. Thank you. I based on another post misled. Successfully done this by selecting 'File', 'save a copy... ". "then choosing"for CS4 or later (IDML).

He had little patience and several tests, but I think it was because of hardware (memory) overloaded version CC cloud or something. It was a 50 MB, file of 500 pages and took 17 minutes to convert/save,

Recap: dnuee to CS5, do not use "Export" (IDML); use ' Save as ' or 'Save a copy' and select "for CS4 or later (IDML).

    Advice much appreciated.

  • Problems previewing InDesign CS5.5 exported EPUB in Apple iBooks, on an iOS device.

I have problems of creation of EPUB when I use my document InDesign CS 5.5 of my first EPUB book, as a template to create my two other EPUB books.

My client gave me a job that forced me to learn how to do ePub files - and I'm still learning.  I have created three books in Design CS 5.5, for fixed PDF page, with an array of interactive content and a regular EPUB export, with automatic formatting of reperfusion and automated table of contents. These books were not created for printing.

After that I created the premiera and exported successfully to an EPUB, which previewed fine free Adobe additions, I used the first document InDesign CS 5.5 as a model to create the other two publications.  These books have been around 100 pages or less, with little or no imposed jpeg images except covers three books, so I have not created a Book.indb for each publication.  Each book is made in files unique InDesign with their own unique cover on their first page art.

When my client in preview the three books on his iPad in iBooks, all three books show the cover of the first book, when we see them on the set of iBooks library.  Then, when you open them, you see the correct cover for this particular book and the correct inner pages.

When I open each InDesign file and open the tabbed file information dialog box, I have a title of different document for each of the three different books.  When I export to EPUB, the Option to Export EPUB dialog box pops up and I chose "include Document metadata."  I entered the name of the Publisher and a separate for each book Unique identifier, when I export.

After I sent the three files ePub to my iPod Touch, all three presented themselves in my library iBooks, but when we see them on the shelf of the library that they have the first cover of the book on all three.  So, I have an overview of redundant coverage on the library shelf, the iBooks app icons, running in Apple iOS.

I have two books by Elizabeth Castro on creating ePub with InDesign files.  I will read more, especially the part about the preparation of your EPUB for Apple iBook, on iOS.  But I thought I'd share my problem here to see if anyone has a solution for me.  Thank you.

I often find myself answering my own questions, but I'll do once again, this time, while others can learn.  When you export to EPUB in InDesign CS 5.5, a diolog of the Options to Export EPUB appears.  Under "EPUB", select "Image file existing use" and choose the file that was used on the first page of the InDesign document for the new cover of the book.

This feature can cause human error inbedded if you use a book filled with Indesign as a model to create other books because even if you have placed a new cover at the beginning of the book, export options was still chosen for the previous book coverage file you worked on.

In fact, I got the answer to my problem with the help of InDesign Menu, when InDesign CS 5.5 is released.

  • A few Questions about the export of Animations Formats in and interactive PDF

    Hi people

According to my previous ramblings, I just go CS5.5 and am very interested in the animation and the side of interactive documents of things.

I created a document as a test that has a video (mp4) and a slideshow (using the buttons to the previous step and the next step of stacked images).

I can export it as a swf file, all perfectly, but the first few people I sent there do not have flash player.  I thought that most of the people would be able to open it but apparently not.  Is there a better format for export?

I tried to export as an interactive pdf, but my slide show button does not work then.  I don't quite see the element of interaction of one interactive pdf other than being able to put in a video (which I have not yet tried).  Im sure someone can enlighten me!

Any help?  Are swf is intended primarily for Web sites where people can see it this way rather than be sent by electronic mail?

    See you soon

Animations and slideshow features are available only in a SWF file, which, as you have discovered, requires Flash.

Workaround: select only the slideshow and the buttons that are associated and export to SWF format using the option on the export dialog box. Then replace the SWF file in InDesign. Use the media panel to create an image of the poster. Can export to PDF.

  • Can (CS5) export to PDF format and compress Images?

Using CS5, I have a 'book' with 12 chapters and a total of about 800 color images. The goal is to export it to a PDF file that is shown on the screens, not sent to a printer.

When I export to PDF format, the file size is huge: about 240 MB.

I want this file to be much - a lot! -smaller size (in MB).

I have all images with different resolutions - from 72 dpi to 220 dpi - and I do not have the higher resolutions.

What is the best way to approach this problem? ...

--Are there a way to set Indesign to compress images when exporting?

    - Or if Photoshop can be used to 'batch' compress images at 72 dpi?

    - Or is there another method that I can't even imagine.

    Thank you very much!

    Zorba

Look in the export PDF dialog box. In the "Compression" Panel, you can set a maximum allowed DPI - any image of a value greater than the value "above" will be sous-échantillonnées to the value "to".

It works only on bitmap images. If you placed the vector images big, there is no way to automatically decrease their size.
