  Windows starts only in safe mode or safe mode with network. My screen is messed up (black and gray with horizontal lines and the screen looks like it scrolls continuously).

  I connected the laptop to an external monitor and it still does not start normally and I need to recover contacts from my iphone from itunes.

  Is there something I can do? I really don't want to lose all my contacts! I have to remove the hard drive and it burst in another machine and try to start windows normally to have access to my current drive with all the data that is on it, but I don't know if it works or if it's a bad idea.

  I know, I Safe mode, you have access to all data on the hard drive. So, you can move all the important data on USB or on the partition (if available) 2 nd on your hard drive and you don't need to remove the hard drive
  Then you can reinstall Windows with a recovery disc or by using the disk copy of Win. This is the best solution in your case, try to fix windows can take a lot of time as a new installation.

  If the restore CD has a defect, you can order a new partner of Toshiba service in your country.

  By the way; You n t need to activate the image of Toshiba. It s always active.

  I have a laptop Lenovo G530, who has a problem with the flickering of screen that worsen. The computer screen start through a crazy screen flicker then stop and try again. I already checked the cable connection to lcd screen, motherboard and reinstall connection of the LCD to motherboard located under the keyboard, as someone suggested in another ad that I found online that solved the problem for them. I'm starting to think that there might be a bad converter or screen because I hooked laptop for external monitor and it works well with flicker happening when the flickering occurs on laptop.

  OK, so I was watching a movie and the screen bit messed up for a second and then the screen went black.   To install help Vista delivered a recovery media. Put the recovery in ODD DVD. Start your laptop using the power button / stop, then press F12 at the beginning upward. Choose the DVD drive as first boot device and press ENTER. When the recovery procedure starts just follow the menu on the screen.

  It can not be that complicated. ;)

  Start your machine and press F12 to get into the boot menu. You can access the menu?
