    More specifically, what modules are always appear as incompatible after a Firefox updated? Firefox 10, extensions that are made properly shouldn't be a problem, with a few exceptions.

    Extension that contains a binary code must be compiled for each new version of Firefox. These modules are usually installed by applications on security Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm, etc..

    Hello

    Welcome to the community of Windows Vista answers.

    First of all, we will try if we can start in safe mode.

    Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

    Steps to start your computer in safe mode with networking
    1. to start mode safe mode with networking, restart the computer and press the F8 key for about four to five times. You will see "Safe Mode with network" listed in the advanced options of Windows.

    2. Select "Safe Mode with network" and then press ENTER.

    Access the link below for more information on how to start in "Safe Mode with Networking":

  • Start computer after the update problem

    I just have an automatic update from Microsoft to settle on my computer and automatically restart to complete the process. Everything seemed fine with the installation to reach 100%, as it has been taken out of windows. However, my computer now not turn back at all! I've had no problem with the computer before.

    The computer is an Evesham axis R6 XT and I am running Vista Home Premium. Is it possible that this update caused a conflict with my material that could prevent the computer from starting completely or is it just a complete cooincidence that the computer died during a restart of the update?

    The computer has power as when I try and turn on the computer, it shows a blue light continuous flashing on the front (not the HD light) but it feeds any upward? Suggestions regarding the problem would be welcome.

    Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

    1. a System Restore to before the updates:

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

    If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

    Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

    System restore steps according to the info above.

    Also, once you get in Vista:

    2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
    > or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
    If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:
    As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
    As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
  • Can I update my computer, download the updates to a flash drive and then install it on my computer when I go?
    Hi all!
    I have 2 updates to download an install on my computer. But the problem is I have a dial-up internet access and the size of the combined file is about 264 MB. At this size, it will take several days to fully downloaded. My average download speed is slower than a snail to 2 KB/s.
    Now my current options are:
    1) download in small sections of every day. That I started to do. about 2 to 5% to 10% or slightly more.
    (2) downloadable on a flash drive using my local library computers. Then come home and install the download on my computer.
    (3) wait 2 weeks until we get the bundled package incudes cable, phone and high speed internet 5 MB download download/800 KB.
    I need 1 update to hopefully help with some problems I am with my computer. From IE7 to IE8 will solve most of these problems if all goes well!
    What do you recommend I do?
    You can.
    For example, here is the download link for the 32-bit version of Vista Service Pack 2 standalone version:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=a4dd31d5-F907-4406-9012-a5c3199ea2b3&displaylang=en
    You can download/save it to CD/Flash Drive > take home > install it.
    You will need the KB updates of security number you need to download (from your own scanning system), and you have to get the right to qualify for the operating system (Vista xxxxxxxx).
  • Fear of the computer of the update after update failed.
    I left my computer for about twenty minutes and returned to find a black screen.  Thinking that the computer had crashed, I rebooted it, just to see what he was doing in fact has been updated itself, and I interrupted this process.  (I thought that I had automatic updates disabled - ugh.)
    After my computer restarted, all my apps/windows no longer appear on the start screen.  I can't search for apps and get the message "this application cannot be sought.  File associations are confused.  I have to open the Task Manager after restarting the computer just for glitch in showing my office because otherwise it stays on a blank screen.
    What would be my best course of action?  I would simply click on the update button and take it as if by magic itself - but I'm terrified of losing all my work files.  I fly over files on an external drive to be sure, but I'm also afraid of losing the programs I work with that I literally had long and I don't know if I can reinstall them even.
    I also read on doing a restore of the system, reset or refresh it?  All options are safer than the other?
    Thank you very much!  I am currently using Windows 8.  I wouldn't mind updated to 10.
    You need to download the iso file and upgarde your system. This file installs windows 10 and keeps all the files, software, applications, etc. Unless something fishy is going on. It didn't happen with me, so I guess that, this will not happen with you also.
  • How can I install more than one version of Firfox and block older versions of update while allowing one to continue the update version?
    I need to have several versions of FF installed for training and testing purposes, but I can't keep the old versions of update. All versions will be putting automatic regardless of Auto-setting adjustment on day of wide or suggest.
    You really need a separate profile for each Firefox version you installed, in order to avoid the update of questions and to trigger a "scan" of addons every time that a profile is started with a different version. In addition, the preference to disable updates lies in the profile, and you can't have both ways in a profile.
    https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/profiles
    To have multiple versions of Firefox are installed, the simplest method is to use several older versions of Firefox, Portable Edition is installed.
    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/PortableApps/files/Mozilla%20firefox%2c%20Portable%20Ed./
    P.E. packages under the 'profile' with the installation of program files, each version automatically has its own profile without users needing to do anything either. P.E. also avoids the "competition" for which version of Firefox is the 'default' browser in Windows. PE can be defined as 'default' as no registry entry is made. The largest "downside" is that the Plugins need special treatment to work, the specific need of the DLL to be copied to each installation of PE.
  • Laptop has frozen on the download of the Update step 3 of 3, but never goes beyond 0%
    Original title: download freezes
    My laptop has frozen on the installation of your last update - when you switch on it says download stage 3 of 3, but never moves beyond 0%.  I tried your advice on restarting in safe mode but still the same thing, then toggle, light up again and continues in a loop!
    Hi NathanielPortland,
    Method 1:
    You can read the following article and try the steps.
    The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7
    Method 2: When you're able to start normally, check the history of update to discover the update has failed as a result of the article:
    See the Windows updates are installed
    Method 3:
    If there are updates failed, then try to download and install the stand-alone package with updates from the Microsoft Download Center.
    a. to download updates from the Microsoft Download Center
    b. Enter the item number in the field search and download the same.
    c. double-click on the downloaded file.
    d. click on run and follow the wizard to install it.
    Hope this information is useful.
