my computer jumps when I type. It will be a different line.

I can't type without my computer to jump to a different line. He does whenever I tap on any program, internet etc. It is almost impossible to type anything.

If it's a laptop, it's probably the touchpad.  There is a trackpad boyfriend called third-party application that locks the keypad while you type

I have Windows 7 on my Dell laptop.  When I type "anywhere" the characters jump all over the page, I type in.  How can I fix it?

    Hello Michele,

A fairly common problem for laptops - its caused by the thumb, finger or palm (s) hit the Touchpad when you type. The infallible remedy only is an external mouse with Touchpad disabled. To do this, or just disable the Touchpad, go to control panel, select mouse properties and select the Touchpad tab in the top row of tabs.

This will open an applet that allows you to select the order of Touchpad buttons, a check box parameter to disable the Touchpad when an external mouse is detected.  If you want faster access to this setting, make sure to display the icon in the system tray is also checked, and you will be able to access this setting in the notification area (bottom right of the task bar, click the arrow to access the Touchpad icon).

To avoid problems to repeat in the future, make sure that if you go to Device Manager to "RID" the Touchpad you only disable the Touchpad as opposed to uninstall the Touchpad. If you uninstall the Touchpad, the next time you restart your computer, the applet will appear again back in place. You can only disable the Touchpad to get rid of him.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

To "restart" the computer means turn off and turn back on. Surely you
don't want that. You probably want to reinstall Windows. No, you
    probably don't need to do.

or y at - it a simpler way or even another way to solve this problem?

It's a laptop? If Yes, most likely you are accidentally brushing
your hand against the touchpad that you type.

I have 2 monitors attached to my computer via a device of IOGEAR GCS632U. I can move the display from one screen to the other. What good is that when I press the '1' key, the display goes to the main screen and when I hit the '2' key movements of the display on the secondary screen. These 2 keys act as shortcut keys. Is it possible to stop this?

  • My cursor jumps when I type quickly - usually within WORD or PUPILLARY and mess up my paper. Help

As I'm typing, the cursor moves and changes where I tap on another line. It's SO frustrating! I am a student online and do not have time for it. I'm not accidentally pressed the button either. Help, please.  This was not the case when the computer is new, but after DELL came to my house and method to make adjustments to the computer, it happened. Makes me crazy!

Take a look in Control Panel > mouse and see if you can adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad glide. Another way to check is to use an external keyboard and see if it happens again.

    I hope this helps.

This has nothing to do with Windows 7 in particular, if it is on
a laptop computer, that behavior gives strongly suggests that you are accidentally

  • Why my cursor jump around the page when I type

When I type on Word or an e-mail my cursor jumps around the Aalst page all the time. This could be the cause?

    Hi Phil,

    1. what kind of mouse do you use? Wired or wireless?
    2. is it a laptop or desktop?
3 when was the last time it was working fine?

I suggest that you check if the mouse settings are correct.

You can read the following article and check.

Change the settings of the mouse

    Method 2:

Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to a normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

By chance, your computer is a laptop or netbook?
I found that when typing, my wrist is sometimes contact with the touchpad causing the cursor to jump on.  Something specific on how you type 'you' might make your wrist touch the touchpad.  If this is your case, there is a program called 'touchfreeze' which disables the touchpad while you type.
