1. this laptop model does support up to 8 GB or 6 GB of RAM as it is 32-bit. A 32-bit OS supports up to 3.25 GB of physical RAM installed. Your laptop supports up to 8 GB, but if installed the OS installed alone will see @3.25 f.

2. how much more RAM slots are present. Two soDIMM slots

3. should I buy (4 GB + 2 GB) RAM

4 SLEEP I will buy 2 4 GB of RAM

5. which company best RAM manufacturer fits into this model.

If you want to use more RAM, then you will need to install a 64-bit operating system. It's not worth spending money on more RAM if your operating system is unable to use it.

Good so I'm not new to work on desktop or laptop. However, this new model of HP Pavilion x 360 changeable has to ask me how do. Looks like I need to remove the keyboard and the plate to which it is attached, to get to one of the inner workings of sort I unscrewed everything and then worked to burst the plastic spikes that I did and then I realized its so easy to remove. It seems that the keyboard is locked in place or glued to the Center I was wondering if one knows something about this or no matter what help they can give me. Thank you

The maintenance manual should be in the "User's Guides" section of product support page, the RAM in the manual guide lists all parts that you have to go out just to get to the memory and that's almost all!

I suggest to read and review all procedures first and if you still want to go ahead and lose your warranty, print the manual or copy it into a phone, tablet or eReader before removing the first live!

  • HP Elitebook 8560w: upgrade my ram and the correct use of slots

    Hello - my first post!

I just bought HP 8560w refurbished seller.  It has a quad core processor and four ram slots.  I can post the SN and product number if it helps with my request.

I want to max out my ram without disturbing the keyboard.  I currently have 4 x 4 ram installed so that four locations are used.  My machine will support a maximum of 32 of ram.

Here is the query - I can remove the 2 ram sticks of the slots I can easily see when I remove the back (I guess these are slots 3 & 4) and replace them with 2 sticks 8 ram each?

    It would give me a total of 24 ram - 2 x 4 under the keyboard (slots 1 & 2) and 2 x 8 in two other passers-by.

This upgrade would be OK and be recognized by the system?

    Thank you, Russ.

    Hi, Russ:

It seems that you can according to the maintenance manual.

He says that one of the compartment of the expansion memory slot should be filled with a chip to add a slot 2.

It also says the same thing about the locations of primary memory under the KB.

  • Upgrading RAM for the name of the model: SVF15212, model number: SVF152C1WW

    Hello

Recently, I bought a Sony Vaio SVF15212 (SVF152C1WW model number) in India.

    It came with 2 GB of RAM preinstalled DDR3 (DDR3 PC3-12800(800MHz) 1x2Go).

It has 2 memory slots, you are free to upgrade.

I was told from Sony's Web site, we can improve up to 8GB RAM.

I bought the Rams of Strontium and Simmtronics 4 GB DDR3 RAM PC3-12800 but when I installed these Rams in second slot RAM (1x2Go and 1x4Go) the laptop won't turn on. But if the Rams individually 4 GB then the laptop starts normally. So I returned these Rams.

So what is the best idea that you can give me... I need to remove 2GB DDR3 RAM preinstalled and use one of the other Rams of 4 GB or 8 GB? (i.e. only a bar than a single stick of 8 GB or 4 GB).

I need more memory RAM that I use many virtual machines. I read somewhere that they installed 8 GB of RAM in the computer laptop sony vaio (not sure of exact model) with 2 GB pre-installed so that they use 10GB of RAM...

Is this possible? If so I'm happy that I can keep original key of 2 GB and you can buy 8GB new stick so that my RAM memory would be 10 GB. WOW!... even thought is amazing...

If someone help me (guide me) which is better than I do...?

    Thank you and best regards,

    SRI.

    Thanks... will check and update.

  • Satellite M45-S169 - overheating and the upgrade card RAM/graphics

    Hello

I have need some answers and solace to the questions I have on my laptop. Here are the following questions:

Laptop overheating fast enough, hereby, I mean in about 10 minutes, the laptop Burns upward. It is the model or is there something wrong with it? I can't keep the laptop without maintaining that it plugged into the wall at all times. That this has something to do with my battery like that I need a new?

I am able to install the new RAM * (2 GB Max) and if yes, someone knows how it slots are for this model? (Not really opened to check because I'm bad to put things together after taking them apart)

I am able to install a new graphics card for the laptop or I'm stuck with ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 M Series? (and if it is not too much to ask, is the graphics card, I have good, bad, or so - so)

Sorry if there are too many questions, but it would be really nice if I get the answers to all these.

    Hi Honu_2,

(1.) you should clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans and read this article please:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=40

2.) Yes, it seems that you need a new battery if your laptop only works with AC/DC adapter connected.

3.), you should check your owner's manual. As far as I know this model supports up to 2 GB of RAM. This means that you can install 1 GB into the two slots.

(4.) the graphics card upgrade is not possible because it s/set soldered on the motherboard and your laptop is designed only for the preinstalled graphics card.

By the way: these questions are already answered here. Check out the forum for similar topics, you will find many interesting things! ;)

You worries are arbitrary since memory Hyper will go up to 1023 MB when you install at least 2 GB of RAM.

I copied here a description on the site of toshiba UK:

  • upgrading ram in the laptop of HP Pavilion g6t - 1B 00 CTO

is it possible to upgrade my ram from 4 GB to 8 GB of ram in the laptop of HP Pavilion g6t - 1B 00 CTO?

    Hey ranjith1992,

The maximum amount of RAM supported your model is 8GBs. The unit has 2 DIMM slots, so you need to get the memory 2 x 4 GB DDR3 modules. Take a look inside the machine to see how fast the 2 GB that you are there (for example, 1066 MHz) and buy 4 GB modules that match.

Here are some photos/instructions to help you get started: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02829479.pdf

Page 48 lists the tested/compatible memory modules and shows you how even to yourself! Additionally, make sure that you are using a 64-bit operating system in order to fully use the 8GBs - a 32 bit OS will see 4GBs.

The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581? I read that one of the slots of RAM is expandable to 8 GB. Also some of the models M3 have SSDS, according to my specifications mine is not, is it possible to put my own in?

    Thank you.

    Nice day

    1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

    2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.
