My computer says No Audio output device installed

When I came a public connection to my connection at home, my computer would produce no sound. I noticed that he would do that whenever I started Dell xps 14 for a few weeks, but he would be unavailable for five minutes only. But today, my audio stopped completely working. I tried to turn off then allowing Intel display Audio. I even uninstalled and re-installed. Also, I remember looking in the driver manager into the past and see Realtek. Now, he is absent from the Disk Manager. Then I installed it, but it is still not present in the Disk Manager and has not solved my problem. Other information on my laptop (if necessary), is there a 64-bit and Intel Core I7-3517U CPU operating system. Help, please.

Hello

First and this is very important, you should not try the majority, you should try them ALL

from top to bottom.

----------

Second check with Dell Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask for their
Forums about known problems.

Dell support drivers - product manual & warranty Info (left side) - and much more
http://support.Dell.com/support/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=DHS

Dell forums
http://en.community.Dell.com/forums/

----------

Third, you can try a Windows repair that keeps programs and data installation.
Or even a new full install of Windows that deletes everything, so you would
must be prepared to re - install the programs and restore the data from backups out of the
primary drive.

How to do a repair installation to repair Windows 7
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

If necessary:

Check with Dell to restore the system back to the new factory, which is essentially the means
a pure Windows installation that removes everything.

----------

Fourth, there could be a hardware problem. So you need a new sound card or a USB key
sound card, this one is cheap.

  • No audio output device installed-HP DV2618ca

No audio output device is installed, tried everything

I have a HP DV2618ca equipped for vista, now works with sp2, which began to lose audio a few weeks ago.  When the laptop would go to sleep, then start the sound does not work, I had to do a system restore to fix.  Recently, the sound was lost together, even when you do a system restore.  I just reinstall Vista hoping it would fix it, but it seems its been there now irreparable.  In the taskbar, I have the red x on the "speaker" icon and it says: "no Audio output device is installed".  When I go into Device Manager, there is no option for sound.  When I try to install the drivers it tells me "access denied" and that it cannot find the necessary device.  I went into Windows services and Windows Audio seems to work correctly.  I continue to read instructions that tell me to go to Device Manager and disable and re - install the drivers but there is no option for the sound, its windows as completely got rid of my audio device.  I tried to download an update that was supposed to solve these problems, but he told me that the update was not for my version of vista.  It's so frustrating.  Any help?

  • Satellite Pro L20 - no audio output device installed

Hi, I would appreciate some help with my installation of 32 bit Vista on my Satellite Pro L20 series.

Installation went well but my sound icon has a cross with her and when I place the mouse over it I see the message: no audio output device installed. I went in full with privilagesand Device Manager there is an exclamation following audio controller appliances. I looked at the General properties and it says: "this device is not configured correctly (code 1). I uninstalled the driver and downloaded Realtek AC97-Ref: 6285_Vista_APO_PG536 driver installed and rebooted but I still got the same error messages!

Can someone help me? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times now, I don't know where to go next!

    Hello

As a boarder, said, if you have a Conexant sound card, you should look for a Conexant audio driver.
The Realtek driver will never work because that makes this different s.

Check other Toshiba laptops for the same card his Conexant. Maybe you can find a Conexant Vista driver.

  • Re: Satellite a series - error message "No Audio output device" installed

The small icon in the lower right corner that normally allows you to control the sound settings now appear with a red X next to it, and when I move the mouse over it I get the message above "No Audio output device" installed I have absolutely no idea why this happens suddenly, but I noticed a couple of weeks, and then a few days later, when I turned on the laptop, the sound was back to normal.

Now, I have this message again-, it seems it's random... sometimes when I turn on the machine it is ok, other times I get the above message. I touch any of the settings ever as I am a non-technical person, so have no idea why this is happening suddenly. I tried simply to reboot the machine, but it does not (today).

My machine is a portable satellite. If you ve of suggestions as to how I can just get my sound back to normal (i.e. in the background, something not not to even think to, it works just as you would expect), please posting a reply. Warranty service was going to get paid for their time. I'm sure it's a very simple solution and I would appreciate greatly any help you can give me.

Thanks yo a lot for your time in reading this.

  • No audio output device installed - already tried the solutions here

I have a HP Pavilion dv6707us laptop with Windows Vista. My sound icon says "no audio output device is installed". When I open sounds, no device is listed, and when I go to Device Manager, there is no category of "sound, video and game controllers". Also, it does not show any audio device listed under any category even when I click on 'Show hidden devices '. I tried to install several audio drivers, but he always says something in the sense of "complete the installation because there is no media for this driver device. I think that my laptop came with Conexant HD audio, but it appears under "Programs", not in "Device Manager". I also tried to go on 'Administrative tools' Services' but Audio Windows is already activated. I can't afford to spend money right now, so if there is any way I can fix it for free, that would be great. Help!
