  Hello!

  I have a BlackBerry Curve 9300, and a few days ago, I added a new e-mail account and synced my contacts with the email account list without realizing it. So I deleted the email account, so it would interrupt the synchronization and it didn't. Today, I deleted a contact in the list of e-mail contacts through the computer and since then every time I tried to open this entry app contact frozen. Then, I deleted the entry and now I can't add all other contacts...

  Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate it!

  New to Blackberry, but I'm pretty sure when I sync all initially had my Outlook contacts and then displays my contact list and rolled on a name, only phone numbers contacts appear as contacts.  Then I could roll the correct number and dial by pressing the trackball.

  Now, I get no display of phone numbers that I ride on a contact name in the contacts list.  I have to press the trackball or enter key to view info contact set and then select the phone number.

  Have I have big fingers tweaks without knowing?  I have read the manual and searched the web and can't find any arrangement which would alter the display of the list of contacts.  Maybe I just imagined?

  Workaround.  The Act of rolling the trackball on the name of the contact and see the phone numbers of the contacts under the name apparently only works when you use the function of name search from the home screen, and not in the contacts list.

  now all I can see is the same entry to multiple numbers

  When I put the sim of the BB in the old 920 it reads contacts correctly

  and when I sync the BB to outlook "clipped" entries do not appear full names

  You can try in the desktop manager or sending bluetooth device switch Wizard if your old camera has this option

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  Of what you say, I read that you had BES enabled on your BB, you have separated from the company/what BES now, but your BB was not properly cleaned of it's political, that continues to limit the things. To remedy this, you perform a specific wiping of your BB as follows:

  1. First of all, review the link of my auto-sig about backups... this process will completely clean your BB and you have to start over.
  2. Once ready, follow this KB to clean your BB of the it policy:
     • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
  3. When / if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore, restore only those databases that are essential, especially to avoid those who have something to do with the company, BES, political, etc.. If you fail at this stage and all restore, you simply put it on your BB policy and be right where you started.

  I'm having a problem where most of my contacts names will not display when I receive a call or a text message, only his number. It happened suddenly, and as it seems, randomly.

  I've disabled all content protection, tried to change the settings of smart dial, deleted the event log, tried the reorganization of the contacts list and made a few handfuls of battery.

  Some of the names of contacts work always correctly, but it's few and I can't understand why only these are. I have installed a new software recently or changed settings other than trying to solve this problem.

  Thanks for the suggestion, which was going to be my next move, but I think I actually solved the problem. I changed the parameters of encryption for contacts on YES. Then I made a sweater battary and activated encryption pulling back and only went to another battery. When he returned to the top it all has been fixed. I think some of the contacts has been quantified and then had a problem of decryption or something.

  I'm new to the blackberry, so pardon my noobishness.

  I just sat and found all my contacts from my old phone the BB Storm phone numbers... but I was wondering... is there not a way to get into all this stuff via PC and d/l then the BB device?  The CD 'desktop manager' does not seem to have this clearly...

• Contacts from blackBerry Smartphones are impossible!

  Guys pls help me with this.

  I have a 8900, in India and uses the data plan to monitor my personal mail.

  Problem is that 'contacts' shows

  * no contacts *.

  When I go into the options of contacts to the sim phone book (Contacts > sim directory) I can see on 25 contacts. I tried to copy all contacts from the sim directory, but it is not yet appear in contacts (Contacts > sim directory > copy all contacts). When I click this, a status bar goes to 100% in a second, but still show contacts * no contacts *.

  I saved many contacts on this device through the registry of calls and messages, and so when I go on (Contacts > options > contact lists > defauly) the number of entries 320 poster. I noticed it increases as and when I add new contacts.

  Still no contact indicated in "contacts". Therefore have to dial each number of contacts before making a call or the call registry search.

  Can someone help me pls with this. In the meantime if someone could help to let me know how I can make my call register not forget calls to say 10 days or last 100 entries.

  This can be an easy fix. On your BlackBerry go to Contacts, press Menu, and select filter. Make sure that you disable the filters which are placed.

  I started to compose an SMS today on my 8900... When I tried to enter the name of the recipient by typing the first two letters, it is didn't get there name from my list of contacts as he normally does.

  If I open the app, it now says "no Contacts".

  The strange thing is that the phone keeps all the contact data, my identity still work correctly, and if I punch J before calling someone, all of my J contacts are still there, with their numbers.  If I type in the complete phone # of the person I'm trying to SMS, it will recognize that this person is in my contacts and display their name.  It just will not allow me to the address with a name more.

  Thus, it seems that while the phone has still all data stored somewhere, it is not in my contacts list, so I can't address TEXT messages with her.

  I hope this makes sense.  Can anyone help?

I like the fact that my contact list collects information from facebook, but I have a friend in the contact list with the same first and last name as a friend I have on facebook, so my phone automatically associate them together. How can I stop this from happening? I tried to remove the photo and facebook's name in the list of contacts, but after awhile, it appears again and it is confusing. I don't want to stop it altogether, but only in this particular case.

  Please restart your device in this way while your device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back. After the reboot, see if the error.

  If the error persists then please recall if you have installed a new application recently before this error appears, if you then uninstall them applications that you think might be responsible for this error.

  I use a 9780. I have 2 email addresses on my device. When you add a contact, you must choose an email address to link to. But the unit put in alphabetical order and there is a way to choose a default account. And once you have bound a contact to a certain account, you cannot change it.
