my D recovery drive is full.

I use very low emissions. Then remove unused programs not an option.  I think it's full download from windows updates. How can I determine which updates are no longer needed and can be uninstalled?

Your recovery disk should not be used to store files, etc. There are simply to restore your default computer/settings.

Contact the manufacturer of your computer for more information.

If however, you are referring to your main player who most likely would be C (the operating system), have you run Disk Cleanup?

It is a problem of HP. The solution lies on their site here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03737312

I did it and it worked perfectly. The warning of no do not remove the necessary recovery files was a moot point. The system wouldn't let me not in all cases.

    You are advised to:

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To fix any problems that have occurred with the D: Partition Recovery, you will need to contact your computer manufacturer (HP) to remove everything that was added on.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

The ONLY way to return to its original state of the recovery partition is to do a full erase of the hard drive and reconfiguration of the PC itself Žtat factory use HP Recovery Media - and, as said, that will delete EVERYTHING on the drive!

If you have backups of the image, as you requested, then you really don't need to partition and can safely remove to reclaim that space.

If Windows won't let you delete this partition, then try using this: Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition free

I continue to generate and save restore points?

Yes, you can double-click the drive in this PC and then double-click "Recovery."  You should be able to right click on the files you want to delete.  At least, I can do this in my D: / partition.

  • Pavilion x 2: recovery drive full, how to clean it?

My computer keeps popping up an alert that tells me that my recovery disk is full. How to clean it? Even when I clean my C drive, he cleared only for a few weeks, then the alert on the recovery disk (D) is complete.

    Hello

Unfortunately, it is not possible to simply move the folder - there will be too many other references to it (registry, etc).

What I would say is to try to uninstall all software printer since entering programs and features (with a bit of luck, the uninstall routine will have the correct path) - If this is successful, restart the laptop.

When windows rebooted, open the recovery partition D and Remove the Program Files (x 86) folder.

    Restart the laptop again.

To restart, if everything looks now Ok - no space warning disk etc. - you can download the installation package of the printer at the following link.

    Hello

Yes, you can move the data files on an external hard drive. You can also add a new disk
the computer - easier to a PC than a cell phone (even if the two can be made).

If you want to move a program installed, not just the data, you must uninstall
and then re-install the new disk.

Run DiskCleanup - start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

You may want to transfer some data, images or documents on removable media such
as the USB keys, USB (my choice) or even CD/DVD drives (make multiple copies if

    -----------------------------------------------------

    Info:

System restore usually holds 15% of disk space and updates that are necessary for running computer
consume even more. Backup - Options of recovery and even MS updates and those of HP, Dell
or similar manufacturers use the space if your charging system. There are also overhead for the readers are not

  • Recovery drive D has disappeared.

My recovery drive D on my PC was completely full. I did a complete system restore. Nothing happened on the drive D. certain way, the recovery drive D has been erased.  Is there a way I can get it back?

    Hello

Loy I'm sorry, but you can't replace the contents of your D: Recovery Partition on the hard disk

The recovery Partition D: was photographed on your hard drive by your computer manufacturer during the production of your computer for these reasons:

    1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

    .

If you need to reinstall Vista yet, here are two methods to do this.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.
