My Dell Inspiron 1564 does not detect my TOSHIBA e-STUDIO desktop printer 452 connected via LAN

When I'm at the office, I connect the printer to the office via LAN.

I am not able to print any document directly from my laptop even if my local network connection is direct and functional.

Hello

I reloaded the printer driver and tried to use the LAN printer and it worked. Many thanks for the suggestions.

  • BIOS Inspiron 2305 does not detect the drive in ahci mode

The hard drive in my Inspiron one 2305 crushed and I tried to install a 500 GB Seagate Barracuda drive.

The Bios does not detect the drive. I noticed that the SATA in the BIOS mode option has been put on AHCI. I changed the ATA mode and the BIOS has detected the drive.

However when I try to install a clean version of Windows 7 (Dell OEM disc), to halfway to the installation Setup will fail. I noticed that the reason why it will fail, is that the installation process now does not see the hard drive.

Can someone tell me what steps to take to do the installation?

    theFlash1932 and natacuk4

Although I was not able to swap the Sata cables as natacuk4 suggested; It looks like just unplug and reinstallation of cables Sata what it did the trick!

I was able to boot the system several times and it seems that everything works fine.

  • Dell 7 venue does not detect the external SD card

    Hi team,

Recently, I bought a Dell Tablet conference 7. It works very well. But there is a problem with external memory card slot, it is not able to detect the external memory card. I tried a lot of cards, all are working well in other devices, but it is not detected by my tablet. I tried my tablet as well as formatting SD card, but is still no use: (.) Hello friend

I also have the dell site 7 16 GB, but never fell on these issues, except when I tried to upgrade my sd card 16 GB class 10 (san disk) to 32 GB class 10 (kingston). When I put the 32 GB it does not detect, so I tried my 16GB and everything was back to normal.

Maybe it's the inability of the dell site 7 in support of the higher upper memory class ability cards.

My dell has also supported 32GB sandisk hybrid pendrive, this USB key with both ends... called dual player... key USB OTG of IE

  • (Redirected) Dell Inspiron N5110 does not start

Hi, my laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 is now 3 years old. I recently had a hard drive fail, then replaced by a new. Now the machine does not start. I have a boot disk in the DVD player that swirls, but gets no further. I get also is no longer the screen Dell displays (before the windows one). In fact, everything is empty. I tried to remove the power supply by battery pack and power holding down the button for 1 minute then re - again no difference. Is there anything else I can do or is the death machine?

    Thank you

  • DELL Inspiron N5110 does not stop and does not wake from sleep

    Hello.

I have Dell Inspiron N5110, who cannot stop it in Windows 7 or Ubuntu Linux. Specifically, I started Ubuntu Live from CD to eliminate the possibility that the problem is in Windows 7. Stop in Ubuntu does not work either. This proves that the reason for not an application in Windows that remains suspended and does not allow the laptop to close.

The laptop computer may not wake after sleep or either Hibernate.

I tried all the solutions that advised you to all the other people in the forum who have the same problem.

    1. the laptop cannot stop mode safe either.

2 may not stop even after clean boot Mode - all services disabled and all package disabled Startups.

    3. I haven't tried to change the Power Options Advanced "Allow hybrid sleep" - both WE "On AC Power" and "Battery operated" - no change.

    4. I tried to install the latest NVIDIA video drivers. This did not help either.

5 running only on battery change nothing - not cannot always stop.

6 race only on AC adapter without battery - still cannot stop.

    7. I tried to remove the AC adapter and the battery, and now the POWER button for 30 seconds to RESET the phone - did not work.

ATTENTION: I have read your forums all day and has seen at least 10-15 reports on the same problem, and not a single case fixed.

    8. This is why I have not tried Flash the BIOS with the latest version - I have read other people who have tried and it didn't work either.

    9. I loaded the BIOS default settings (F9) - stop still can't.

NOTE: Change something in the BIOS and getting out once caused the laptop to freeze and I had to power off by holding button for a longer time.

    10. I ran DELL Diagnostics menu Boot (F12 at startup) - no error found.

    11. I couldn't find IEEE 1394 adapter in Device Manager to change the power management settings.

In fact, none of the suggestions that you can give to change something in Windows is logical because I already mentioned that stop in Ubuntu does not work or the other.

The question seems to be either in BIOS or a hardware problem. But which component? This is the CD/DVD drive?

    It is a new laptop.

Please advice how to proceed. If you know which component fails please tell me.

Remove the keyboard and palmrest (dell guide shows you how) and you should see a small button battery. Remove it at least 10 seconds, then put back. Enter the BIOS and make sure that there is nothing weird was changed. It should work fine now. I had this work in Ubuntu 12.04 these last days with no problems.

  • Why my Dell Inspiron laptop does not recognize my charger?

    Hello

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and I have never changed or got a new charger, but now, for some reason, whenever I turn on my laptop, I get an error message saying that it cannot identify the power of my charger and therefore will be not my laptop. I tried different outlets, the whole and I even run diagnostics on my computer as he recommended, and he finds no problems.
Is there something I can do that wouldn't force me to buy a new charger?

  • Dell Inspiron N5110 does not support Windows 10?

I'll try once more to make this post to cause the previous, it never went live.

I have a 3 years old Dell Inspiron N5110 i5 / 8GB ram/Nvidia/Win 7 home premium and I am very pleased with his performance and build quality. Yesterday, I tried to book a copy of Windows 10 and after struggling to make the pop icon in my taskbar, I managed to get it jump.

When I clicked the Get Windows 10 icon to get the reserve he came with this message...

    "BIOS is not supported.

I have 2 laptops more than 2-3 years older than my N5110 and both are qualified and reserved for the update...

I'm running the newest BIOS A11, all updates windows and the most recent drivers for this machine and wanted to ask you:

Is it me or other users of N5110 this message?

Any other update BIOS I is missing to get sound to work?

Dell will solve this problem, until July 29 and when Windows 10 go live?

A formal response or if there is an official link to Dell for this question would be appreciated.

Just update your BIOS to A11, waiting for some time (a few hours or a day) and everything will be Ok.

It works but not supported by Dell.

    Thanks to you all.

  • Inspiron 1525 does not detect HD in the Bios

Hello everyone, I'm new to this so if I do something wrong with this announcement, please accept my apologies!

My main question is this, I was given an inspiron 1525 in soft state by a friend who was ready to crush the frustration. Now I begin to understand why. It will not detect ANY hard disk, I put in. Of which I know is very well because I took it from my old laptop when I upgraded to a 500 HD concert. I tried a brand new WD 320gig, an another WD 500gig and supplied with this machine and no dice. I tried to change the bios to ata ahci and all sorts of things, & I can't get the bios to read or detect a hard drive.  ANY HELP at ALL will be greatly appreciated. !!!!

If this is the wrong place to ask a question, please excuse my ignorance, I'm just opperating on overload right now & very frustrated. Thank you. Jon.

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem, after I ruined 2 hard drives because I thought it not linked not properly (after my parents let him down once or twice), I leaned slightly above the hard drive (near the touchpad)... The 3rd hard drive didn't settle... I googled a lot and I was thinking, what happens if I change BIOS, ATA AHCI after changing the setting, leave the bios and re - enter the bios and changed from AHCI to ATA, now windows could be installed without any problem. Is not the solution, the problem I have now is that everytime I turn on the PC I have to do this thing, otherwise the hard drive is not detected.

I have idea why this is happening? I updated the bios to a17 (I think) and still the same...

any other idea is very appreciated!

    Thank you

  • Dell Inspiron Touchpad does not turn off

I've been through everything, and it seems that there is no real help available for this problem.  I bought a Dell Inspiron 5050 in August 2012.  Updated November 7 to Windows 8 and I hated typing since (which is unfortunate, because I'm a student who wrote many papers) because since the installation of Windows 8, the toggle switch that disables the touchpad no longer works.  Not only that, but even without touching the keyboard, the cursor jumps around and I find myself correcting the text at least 1 to 2 times per line (Yes, by writing this, I already had to solve four, making five, errors).

I spent more than 2.5 hours on the line then a tech controlled my computer remotely (I got another problem solved) and he could not understand either.  There IS NO option to disable the touchpad in the Control Panel, or change the settings for sensitivity.  I tried to uninstall the driver, and it did not work.  Currently, I have a big piece of cardboard glued on the touchpad, and which has not helped at all.  I HATE Windows 8 because of this whole fiasco (and I tell everyone I know about the many problems I've had so far).

Maybe this isn't even the problem of Microsoft, but the answers tech with insulting tones kindergarden instructions don't WORK, then please do not give me one.  If you can't tell, I'm more annoyed and I wish that I had NEVER been updated to Windows 8!

If someone gives me a USEFUL answer, I'd be happy and stop to say Facebook, Twitter and everyone I know face-to-face how I HATE Windows 8!

    Thank you!

Search the Trackpad in the start screen and open the settings tab.  Then open the settings file.  Make sure the tapping is checked.  Click it and then click on the gear at the end of the line (you must pass your cursor over the line of tapping to get the equipment).  Make sure the Double tap to toggle the TouchPad is checked.  Click to close this window and OK on the first window.  See if the double tap works now.

  • Inspiron 1564 does not start

Hi, yesterday an I tried to start this laptop and he has not started. Because it wasn't me the last who used, I don't know if it was too hot or if she switch off suddenly... my dad doesn't remember... xD

    Symptoms:

The laptop turns on by AC or battery and: screen stays black. Fan starts to run as normally. HARD drive starts to spin at the first time but then it stop (so it doesn't load the operating system). Power led, hard drive and battery works as it should. DVD and usb also have the power.

Remove one stick of RAM keeps the system as described above. When two slots are free the mobo make 2 beeps, so that it matches the RAM beep code not detected...

Beeing, push the power button turns the phone off immediately.

The problem would be that the two RAM sticks was bad? I thought to try with the stick of an another laptop but Im afraid to break a new too...

    Thanks for your response

Hi Sunnytours, it seems that your motherboard is fine, the problem is that with the screen, maybe you should try pluggin a tv with a vga or hdmi cable.

If so you see everything fine on the TV or monitor... just buy another screen and replace it yourself if you can, it's easier than you may think.

    Best regards

  • Dell Inspiron N5110 does not start

    Hello!

I went to dell [F12] startup options and ran the diags.

It throws following error message upward:

    Error code: 2000-0145

    Validation: 45371

MSG: Hard drive 0 s/N 5VEKQY27, self test has not completed.

    [HD bios is detected correctly].

    What should I do now?

You will need to replace the hard drive - which, while a bit expensive component to replace, is not easy to access on this model.  You can watch the video below before you decide to replace it yourself - or do a workshop work for you.

You will need a new 2.5 "7-9.5 mm laptop SATA hard drive (hybrid or or drive solid state drive).

  • Dell U2913WM monitor does not detect the cable to the DisplayPort input

    Hello world

I just got my new U2913WM yesterday. It works fine other then he said no display port cable when on the display port entry. The monitor works fine with a cable DVI and my PC, but I get no cable error if I try to use a cable of DP with ether a PC or a Mac. I would get one to make them work with the cable of DP that my Mac will not pick up the correct screen resolution when you use HDMI.

    • I have 2 computers, 1 PC and 1 Mac.
    • My PC has 2 ports of DP and my Mac has 1
    • I tried the cable in all DP 3 ports with the same results
    • I went out and bought a new cable of DP and still had the same problem.
    • I tried to turn off the PC, Mac and the monitor and back on their return
    • I also tried turning and turn off the DP 1.2 setting in the monitors OSD
Can anyone think of anything anyone else I can try? I'm kind of at a loss at the moment other then contact technical support.

I know that this is a very old post, but I just stumbled on it all trying to solve the same problem. In the case where treated him as stupid as I was, there are TWO display on the Dell U2913WM Ports, in a (#4) and exit (n ° 8). Next to the HDMI is only, you want to plug it into one near the power cable. I realized this after 2 hours of tearing my hair. Hope this helps someone, if it isn't the op.
