My early 2015 retina 13 '' Macbook pro intermittently "hang" on a wifi network in my house

Problem: My early 2015 retina 13 '' Macbook pro intermittently "latch" on a wifi network in my house.  Which means, if I'm on my 2.4 GHz network, it works very well and then randomly - while remaining always connected to the wifi network - will lose its ability to connect what be it for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This occurs every 5-10 minutes. If I go to my 5 GHz connection, it works very well for 5-10 minutes. I keep having to switch back so that it could respond more quickly, or let them hang for a minute until he figures it by itself.

Meanwhile, I can connect with my iPhone, Windows laptop, Xbox, computer, etc. without any problems. If I take my macbook in wifi areas, I have never run into this issue. I don't really know what to do, and faced with the conclusion this problem online - as it is a very specific set of variables causing problems.

Please see recommended settings of WiFi routers and access Apple points.

Despite these recommendations, some routers will work better with the latest Mac models if you turn the radio 2.4 GHz mode in settings and only use the 5 GHz. Note, however, that very old devices Apple and some third-party devices can then not connect at all.

Some third party routers have advanced that you may need to change the settings:

The encryption algorithm must be AES.

The group key interval must be 3200.

I can't give you specific instructions on how to change these settings, because all routers are different. Refer to the documentation for the provider.

    Sophos AV

    GitHub and OSXFuse

    Carabiner

    CREDANT shield/Crypto

    SektionEins driver and SUIDGrardNG

One or more are at the origin of the crash. Start by removing Sophos. Since the graphics family is one of the problems, don't forget to remove anything you have installed which would be new for your use of the GPU.

Be sure to use any uninstaller provided with the software. Something that comes with an uninstaller uninstall not manually.

  • Try to connect 2007 Apple Cinema Display to the retina of MacBook Pro

I'm trying to connect my MacBook Pro retina 2015 to my old Apple Cinema Display 2007. Apple recommended the purchase of the Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI. I connected everything except directly from monitor adding firewire cable.

I can see the image of the bottom of my laptop, but it is. No feature and not an imitator of my laptop. I'm not 'super tech savvy' but need help. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Looks like you have the display as extended desktop configuration. With this the second screen is like an extension of the first screen. For the use of several screens, see:

OS X El Capitan: connect multiple monitors to your Mac

It is similar to the other versions of OSX

The screen has FireWire ports, but to use them, plug the FireWire to your Mac. Unless your Mac has two Thunderbolt ports do not use FW via a bolt of lightning > adopter FW

  • To buy: MacBook 2015 (12 ") vs MacBook Pro 2015 (13')

I need to replace 2009 15 my daughter "MB Pro.  She is in graduate studies for teaching, the basis of the two models would be my limit of crazy, and they are both sold at the same price.

Uses would be: Internet research with several tabs open, writing and editing documents of research education, design of bridges in PowerPoint, use it in the classroom for presentations and e-mail.  No weight heavy photo or video editing or game.

I think it leans more towards the regular MacBook because she loves the new keyboard and it is light.  However, it has concerns about the small size of the screen (to facilitate the edition of research papers, etc.), saw only a single USB port and the apparently much stronger specifications of the Pro.

Any thought would be appreciated, especially for those who have a first hand experience with both machines.  Thank you!

I have a Macbook pro 13 "2015 Retina and a Macbook from 2015.  I am a moderate user, usually by e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, browing web, etc...  The Macbook Pro is my main computer.  I use it at home for personal and professional tasks, and I use it with a Thunderbolt screen so I have a bigger screen.   I travel often and that's when I use the Macbook because of its light weight and smaller profile.  I am very satisfied with these two machines.  Based on my experience and your description of the use, either machine would probably work.  However, if I had to recommend one, it would be the Macbook Pro with the retina display.  It has more capabilities for future use and a number of ports that can be useful in the future.  You should also consider a screen 15 "If your daughter will have several documents open at the same time. I hope this helps.

  • Acer S277HK 4K - retina of Macbook Pro 13 "(model end 2013)

Hi Forum - I recently bought an Acer S277HK 4 K/60 Hz monitor and use as an external monitor with my Macbook Pro retina 13 "(modèle de fin 2013)."  I am connected using the "Cable issues Mini DisplayPort / Mini Displayport 4 K ready cable" to connect macbook to monitor.  So far, I cannot get the resolution of Acer to reach 4K / 60 Hz.   I did a lot of research on various forums and sites as possible and so far, everything I've seen leads me to believe that my MBP 13 '' end 2013 retina should support a 4K connection / 60 Hz, but so far, am not able to achieve this.  Someone has advice on how I can solve reach higher in the Acer external monitor resolution?  I've seen a few comments need to use 'switchrex' to adjust the settings, but no indication on this is extremely appreciated!  Thank you.

What is max resolution/frequency, you can get?

    This

With the help of 4K and Ultra HD TVs with your Mac - Apple Support screens

You should be able to get 4K@60 Hz with cable 1.2 DP/CDM? You have a cable 1.2?

A 4K cable does not mean it is 1.2 DP.

The monitor configuration screens has an option to support 1.2 DP? Some do it.

  • Retina of MacBook Pro battery SUPER fast, please help?

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, beginning 2013) and recently the fan was spinning VERY fast and I did reset smc, cleared up a bit on my laptop and now its good but the battery has fallen like a madman. It was 50% in the evening and I put standby, but I wake up and its 0%. In the sound class always 98-40. Help, please?

Why not leave it plugged all night and plug during breakfast or during the course, it is not necessary?

Load circuits will prevent price hard.  My MBP stays connected when you do not move, but used up to 30% of battery once a month if not more often.

Running to death just shortens life considerably and it looks that it has been executed to death several times for you.  And there must be some periods during the day to get in 30 minutes about charging during the day.

  • Internal optical drive does not not on the retina no MacBook Pro mid 2012

So, I know there are a lot of discussions on this subject, but I can't find one for my problem. It is here,

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch mid-2012 not the retina. It has the Max 8 GB of RAM and i7 processor. The hard drive is 750 GB. The computer has also an internal optical drive. I can insert and eject the CD and DVD, but when I put in the player made a strong and unusual whirring or buzzing noise, not the normal silence and it becomes stronger and more quickly than the slower and quieter that the DVD or the CD will eject except it doesn't. This can continue indefinitely unless I have press and hold the eject button on the keyboard. The DVD is not scratched when I go out, and the player has worked only once on the last two times I tried to use it. Do I need to take it to the Apple Store to get something fixed or replaced or what? I don't want to do the fix at home so the fix can be done only in this way that I kid you not the computer. What is the best thing to do, and all the world knows about this problem?

Hi, I'm a web designer and I'll try to find a way forward by using Photoshop CC on my Macbook Pro (end of 2013).  I found the messages that say you can open photoshop CS6 "Low resolution" but I can't find the same option in Photoshop CC.  My comps of design of 200% zoom is certainly not the answer.

Thanks for any advice that anyone can give.

  • MacBook Pro crashes when connecting to WiFi at home

    Hi all

    Short:

When I connect to some of my macbook pro WiFi networks freezes.  By freezing I mean all input devices stop working: no touchpad, no keyboard, no external mouse, no keyboard.  My laptop stops 30 seconds after the Frost is out of the reboot.  The problem is worse at home.  He will die almost instantly if I try to use my home network.  On the road, it can take an hour or two, then freeze!  At work, life seems almost endless, but it froze.  More details to follow.

    • Other times, I can work on the internet without pain for hours.
    • Sometimes it will work very well, I will walk away and the machine goes to sleep.  When I wake up, it will freeze.  With and without the WiFi on.
    • Sometimes it will work very well, I'll close the lid for a certain period of time for 1 minute to 24 hours and sometimes when I open it it will freeze.
    • It crashed when booting in verbose mode.  Died when something with bluetooth.  I tried only once.
    • When in recovery mode (CMD + R), I can run the utility disc fine, but if I want to reinstall OS X, the minute, trying to download (after signing with my Apple ID) it will freeze.  It's the only way I've been able to reliable and predictable way to reproduce this problem, however, as on my home network.
    • There is never crash logs in the console.  I have never one "your machine should be stopped."  The only way that I know that there was a problem is that I will ask you to log in and when I do, none of my programs are still open.

    Where this happens:

    • On my work WiFi network, it's hardly a question.  Happened at least 5 times in the last year.
    • During a journey (so any number of networks and equipment) will occur once an hour.
    • At home, he can go months without a pass and then, as yesterday (24/04/16), occur continuously for hours on end.  (I have just let my laptop open and hear the chime start about once a minute).

    What I tried:

    • Reinstalled OS X.
    • Run diagnostics (CMD + D)
    • Reset the PRAM and SMC
    • Run recovery stuff (CMD + R)
    • Safe mode has the same problems; When internet is used, it freezes.
    • That thing where you delete all of your connections wifi, both in the Terminal and in the GUI.
    • Disable IPV6 on my Macbook Pro
    • The laptop is not hot.  Power supply or the battery power does not make a difference.

    Other stuff:

    • I have an old Macbook Pro (running Yosemite) who doesn't have these problems.  There is another Windows Mobile and apple and windows Phone which does not have these problems.
    • Using WiFi at home and Arris TG1682G me provided by Comcast/Xfinity.
    • My laptop froze all the time and then I went to another network (neighbor thank you!) and everything seems fine.

As my computer can still freeze on other networks I'll post this now and change it.  I don't want to lose that.

I can't find a button change.  Shortly after I posted this my macbook pro has frozen and restarted.  I was not on my wifi at home.

  • MacBook Pro question mark flashing, no wifi, only own internet connection

I have a flashing question mark on start up with my MacBook Pro. Through the process of restarting, but it asks me to choose a wifi network. I did not, as my computer has its own internet connection, so can not continue to the next step. Help please?

If you are connected to internet through being directly connected to a modem via ethernet. You should be able to ignore the WIFI configuration prompt. Have you used the option of disk utility to check the repair or erase the disc? The withdrawal volume. You can also try using command/Option/R for recovery to see if you can use ethernet. I did once and trying to remember how I did it.

  • How can I connect my MacBook Pro to my XP based home network?

PC under XP Pro is the server for the network MSHOME. I'm trying to connect my new MacBook Pro to this network. I changed all the settings at level 5; the Mac can 'see' MSHOME and the server, but the server can not see the Mac; There is therefore no communication between them. When I click on the server since the Mac I get the message "you don't have permission to access...". »

    Is there a solution?

    Hello

I suggest you post the question in the forums and check them off below if it helps:

  • Occasional kernel panic on retina 15 "macbook pro 2015 integrated graphics

I was do these occasionally (once every 2-3 months, although I think they were more frequent with earlier El Capitan releases) and whenever they seem to be associated with the video HD5000 (mine has only integrated video). I have not tried to reinstall Mac OS that I have not found the time to deal with the backup and restore, but I am concerned about a hardware problem.

  • These SSD options would be compatible with my Early 2011 13 inch Macbook pro?

    Hello

My mac I'm really slow so I decided to buy an SSD, but I can't be sure if it is compatible with my mac. SSDS are super expensive in my country, I just have to be sure before buying.

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

    RAM: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 3000

    13-inch, early 2011

    My SSD options:

    MX300 crucial 250 GB

    Samsung 750 EVO 250 GB

    Samsung 750 EVO 120 GB

    Thank you.

If you want a definitive answer, contact the technical support from the manufacturer.  The general rule is, if the SSD is identical to a HARD SATA 2.5 form factor ", it will work in your MBP.

    Ciao.
