  I could solve the problem by restarting, F8 to open the boot options, choose the repair mode and system restore to a few days before.

  The user of the pc says it all started when they double click on a file and was prompted to choose a program to open the file with... they chose Microsoft Word and it changed all of their MS Word icons icons.

  Check if an error code is listed in the Device Manager:

  a. click on start

  b. click Run, in the Run dialog box type devmgmt.msc

  c. in the Device Manager window, locate the drive of audio, video and game controllers and expand drive, double-click the sub element to check if an error message or error code is listed.

  Front right: you're account is toast maybe because you did not follow certain rules front right on the accounts.

  (1) always configure recovery options available for online accounts.  Alternative e-mail accounts, e-mail text, questions & answer reset options, etc.

  (2) use different passwords for accounts - otherwise if AN account is compromised, then they all do.  Probably your House key is / was different from that of your office key is / was different from that of your car key is / was different than your key for the box - and for good reason.  Security is/always was one thing in layers because it works.
