• receiving error code 39 for dvd, driver will not load.

  replace corrupt cdrom.sys

  small management business of vista 32 bit.  receive error code 39 for dvd.  driver will not load.  I tried to uninstall.  same question on re - start.

  I tried regedit suggestions.  UpperFilter deleted, no lower filter exists.

  In addition to the above on the excellent advice, cdrom.sys is not corrupt.

  One day I was playing my xbox and I had my controller hooked up to it for recharge purposes. I got up and took my foot on the rope and tore the xbox a little. Tipped back, he didn't fall down.
