My free cell has disappeared.

Somehow, I deleted all of my standard games removing FireFox and come back to IE. I tried to reinstall the games several times, but he always asks the installation CD. I downloaded XP on the internet from Windows, so I never had a CD for installation. Can someone give me some suggestions as to how I can reinstall my game favorite (s)?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi dollarsfor6,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

In most cases if the games are deleted from the computer files will remain on the computer.

I suggest that you are looking for game files in the system32 folder.

Click on Start menu later click on run and type c:\\windows\system32 in the following search of the window for the file of games like free cell. If you get the files in the system32 folder then copy the file to c:\\program files\start menu\ later in the game folder.

If fails it above step, try a system restore to the point when the game was available on the computer.

  • where is the free cell on windows 8?

I can't believe they took off basic games. I've been an avid player of free cell and now his party. Microsoft should warn people that what has always been Windows will disappear before people upgrade. I hate the version of the application that is in the Microsoft store, I want my old game cell free return is possible to get it?

The reason why they have the app store is to download third-party games and games of cards from third-party suppliers.

I answered this question on another thread, I gave the person a solution not taken in charge by downloading a patch from another site covering games in Windows 7 to Windows 8.
I'm not going to post the same answer on the solution because it is a Microsoft Site, but you can do a google search on it.

    Hello

References for Vista also works on Windows 7.

Updates page is closely related to IE - look for something blocking.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you ALREADY had on this
machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK

    Close and restart IE

IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install
"(and it causes problems - you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again)." Search for other possible problems.

Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.

Could be that a BHO - BHOremover - free - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run - not all
are bad, but some can cause your question (toolbars are BHO).

  • "System memory" error Free Cell

I have often used the Free Cell game that came with Vista on my PC.  Suddenly started getting a message "critical error" when you try to run it: "the system has run out of memory." Try closing some applications and try again. »

The other game (Solitaire, hearts, etc.) all seem to open very well... but I do not use them.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot, repair, or reinstall?  Thank you.

    Hello Dave_L_Texas,

    You can try this:

First of all try to perform a clean boot.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Follow the steps described in the article:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Apart from that, you can try the following steps:

    1. right click on my computer and select Properties option.
    2. in the window that opens, select Advanced on the right panel system settings.
    3. click on continue when you are prompted.
    4. you will get the System Properties window.
    5. click on the Advanced tab, and under performance, click settings.
    6. you'll get the window popped up performance options. Click the Advanced tab again.
    7. then under virtual memory, click change.
    8. under custom size, increase the value. Click ok.

    You can also try:

To uninstall/install the games provided by Windows Vista, go to programs and features, and then click Turn Windows Features On or Off in spots on the left. You may be prompted for an administrator password or to continue. It can take a bit of the screen of Windows features to complete loading. In the Windows features page, clear the check box next to games and click OK. Windows may ask you to reboot after it's finished work.

  • How to re - install Free Cell

    Re-installation of free cell

How to re - install or download the free cell game came with my computer. I have a HP Media Center under Windows XP. The game of free cells that came install has been uninstalled. Need help. Thank you.

Try to uncheck it.  Saying: Ok and exit.  Then come back.  Check and see if it installs properly.

Remember, if you are on a work PC, it is possible that your employer has stripped Freecell (and other games) from the PC.  They can do this through the security settings of group among other methods policy.  No matter if you try and install it still won't matter because the settings it will keep to settle, work, running.

However, if it is a PC at home, you should be able to uncheck and then out and then go back and save.  And it should install.  If this isn't the case, you can have a more serious problem.

  • I downloaded FF 41.0.2. Now it has disappeared. I'm okay?

Simple question. I saw a new version of FF 41.0.2 when I saw him at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/releases/ . Now it has disappeared. Am I at risk of something horrible. It can still be seen at https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ seems to work very well. Can someone tell me what happened? I'm at risk any more I was with FF 41.0.1?

    Kind regards

    Axis

I'm going to mark it as resolved as 41.0.2 is now at:
    https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/releases/
and has virtually the same information on a security patch that I've seen before.

I think that all this is due to the way Mozilla launches version. I guess that those who have an automatic installation are supposed to bring first, those who have 'request before the update' are supposed to bring later and people like me who do not install the maintenance service and check manually (like me) are supposed to bring last.

Everything is good for me with 41.0.2

    Kind regards
