My G drive disappeared

I turned on my computer today and tried to play songs via itunes, but they do appear, they usually work very well. Everything is stored on my external HDD that was usual in G:\ but now there is no g drive his now H:\ and my music won't play, ive tried to change the location of the file on i tunes but it doesn't seem to work. Can anyone tell my where my G. ------went by car?

Hi Staite,

If you have unplugged the external hard drive, it can sometimes install a second hardware profile and take a new drive letter.

You can try to plug the reader in the same USB port, or by removing and returning to the computer while the computer is turned off.

You may be able to delete the unused Device Manager profile by clicking on view > show hidden devices.

You may need to remove the two profiles in Device Manager, and then restart the computer to get the original drive letter to attributed to the device, if it is available.

  • Satellite P100-188-CD/DVD drive disappear when install iTunes

    I have a P100-188 and when I install itunes (ver 7.7.11 I think) my D drive disappeared.

    > "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." The error signature shows that: AppName: itunes.exe Appver:8.0.0.35 Modname: unknown Modver:0.0.0.0 Offset: 00008200.

I remember one of my friends had a similar question. The error always appears after the new installation of iTunes.
He called me and I tried different things, I reinstalled the application, clean the OS, etc, but anything :( I was really desperate

Finally, I decided to reinstall the OS to see if there could be something wrong with the Windows installed. And that was the key of the OS has been confused don t I know why, but after the new OS installation (it was a hard way) worked the iTunes

If you can first try reinstalling iTunes, then clean the operating system using CCLeaner and then try again.
If this can't help, then a new install of the OS may be necessary!

  • Re: Satellite L650-11F, DVD drive disappeared Windows 7 after that BIOS installed

    Hello

I would like to ask for help about this problem:

Today one of the programs from TOSHIBA, that came with my laptop (L650-11F), warned me about an update of the BIOS (v1.80) after download and install my DVD drive disappeared from Win7 and it has a continuous yellow light on it. It does not even open when I press the eject button.

I have however maybe install the old version 1.60 back would help, but TOSHIBA does not keep older drivers version apparently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello!

Restart your computer. During the startup, at the beginning, press the F2 key to enter the BIOS Setup. In the configuration, press F10 to restore all the default BIOS settings. Save the changes and exit.

Post here if your problem solved.

    Kind regards.

  • Partition on HARD drive disappeared after formatting using the product recovery disc

My laptop came with a partitioned hard drive C and D drives.

After formatting my hard drive using the recovery disk of the supplied product with my computer, I don't have any option to partition the HARD drive, only for the 1. 46 GB for some recommended backup, and the remainder became the C drive.
D drive disappeared. Now, when I put the USB ant in my laptop, it reads as D drive.
Can you please help, I need to have my hard drive partitioned into C and D drives, and flash memory can be any subsequent letter.

    Hello Richard

Is it so complicated to tell us which model of laptop you have exactly?
Anyway, when you use recovery Toshiba you cannot lose score. After using the recovery media, you'll have to factory settings and the structure of the HARD disk will be the same as on the first day.
Something like that is definitely not possible.

    > I don't have no option to partition the HARD disk
This option doesn't exist. On some older models of laptops, just an option to set up the first score ability there.
After the first start, you can go to disk management and activate the second partition. All that s!

Please tell me what model of laptop have you then I can tell you more about the partitions.

  • Realtek HD Audio driver disappears after installing an ATI Radeon graphics card

My Realtek HD Audio driver disappears (the Vista "Sound Manager" and "Device Manager") and is replaced with an ATI HD Audio driver after you install an ATI Radeon 5450 graphics card.  I tried to uninstall the ATI Audio driver and re - install the Realtek Audio driver.  But, after reboot, Vista automatically re - installs the ATI Audio driver (and the Realtek Audio driver, which I have just reinstalled, is not where after the reboot).  I use a HP a6110n desktop running Windows Vista.

This works!  I would never have suspected that the problem was a BIOS setting.  Thanks for the good advice!

  • Cd\dvd drive disappeared on Equium A60

    Hi all

Can someone help me? I have an Equium A60. It's 18 months, outside the usual on heating problems and closing, now it starts but my DVD drive disappeared. I have a rug * a DVD-RAM UJ - 830 s. Win XP just didn't load it.

He is no longer in 'my computer '. I'm in Control Panel of configuration and the 'systems' then 'system properties' and watched on 'Device Manager '. The drive is there, but with a big yellow exclamation point. So I checked the 'properties' it has the following message: "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware, but does not the hardware device. (Code 41) "and troubleshooting has no use.

More than heating cooked my drive? I've updated the drivers for it, but this has no effect.

Any ideas... ?? Thanks in advance...

    Hello

Please click on start > search and in the search box, type Device Manager.
Select device under DVD ROM Manager, you see the device.
Make a right click on it and uninstall the device.

There is no specific driver for reader to CD\DVD to the Web site of the manufacturer for the dv2000 model.

Please, do a right-click on the DVD ROM drives in Device Manager and select "Properties".
Under "Properties", select the Details tab, you will find the DEV and FRI [DEVICE and VENDOR ID].
    Please give me that.
I'll help you get the drivers for DVD ROM

  • Mapped network drive disappears

I had a problem with a user on my network, when they log off and shut down their system, they are losing one of the 9 mapped drives. It's always the I: drive. The rest of the readers are mapped and simply the I: drive remapping works. The strange thing is that sometimes the player is connecting and sometimes not. Reconnecting to the connection is enabled, when you run the Net Use command, it says "new connections be remembered."

I made sure there are no devices connected via USB, like phones or external drives. I read in several forum posts on problems similar here and other sites, but none of these solutions have solved my problem. I made the registry changes, changed the drive etc. letter. Considering that there is a problem with one user, I guess the question must reside on his PC. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

  • Internal drive disappears after 15 minutes running ' G:/Users/SAM/Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable'... etc.

    Hey everybody,

This is my first post here, and it's because of a terrible problem that I have where one of my internal drives disappear literally just from my computer after about 15 minutes of my computer.  If I restart the computer the drive will return, but then disappear just after 15 minutes of use.  If I remove the drive and connect it to an USB hard drive docking station, it will show well here.  It's just a 250 GB SATA drive.  The only thing I can think is that I use it to store all personal files that are usually stored on the system C:\ drive.  When I installed the OS a few years ago, I went through the steps to get my data off the drive system in the event of a crash.  I doubt that could be the cause of the problem because it has worked well for a long time like that?  I remember having to do weird things in the registry or something to get the users folder to point to another drive.

The problem exists since probably almost a year now...  It got so fed up of this office that I just stopped using it and started using my macbook exclusively for about a year.  I'm starting to use this computer for backups because it can hold much more (and more numerous hard drives) that the macbook could dream to).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    -Sam

If it works in a dock and the dock is a dock motor, it is the motherboard, or a connector failed

Although G: might suggest that you have several internal hard drives and if so, you can check if the power supply is charged.

And no it's not a victory to issue.

  • iCloud drive disappeared

can someone tell me what would hapend to my photos on my icloud drive to post pictures on facebook.  That's what I t when I click Browse to display a picture of storage icloud, it's on my finder but icloud went here, I can't post pictures on facebook, it has completely disappeared. does anyone have an idea?

    God bless

    Trish

Photos are usually not stored in iCloud drive.

When you get the dialog box to post pictures on Facebook, search for media on the bottom of the list of folder as shown below.

This will open your Photos App, which is where you will find your photos. Not in iCloud drive.

  • CD/DVD drive disappeared into the Explorer on Satellite Pro M40

Hi all of a sudden the DVD/CD drive on my m40 disappeared (does not appear in the Explorer). The material is very well, windows does not want to leave work. Ive been in device manager and I get the following.

"Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. »

now ive tried to reinstall all the ways that I can (uninstall, then add new hardware was not working and or uninstall help to restart windows install automatically) im guessing that the driver I have stored on my pc is corrupted, but it is not seam to be a backup driver in the toshiba help depositry driver (which is very agravating). I also looked in the forums before I made this post and found someone who also havd the same problem on the same system and was redirected to an article in the knowledge base of MS, ive been there and it did not help it 1st method, I can't do it because theres no upperlfilters in the key they send me to regedit and method 2 do this ive tried multipul time (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb; en - us; 320553), also I did not anything new to the laptop recently its had no new harware/software and I have not played with all the drivers more in 2 months. the car was working fine yesterday (watch a movie, played end)

One of my friends had the same problem and using method 1, everything was working again. I also write what he don t have much clue about PC and software and wh knows what he did on his notebook.
