My headset does not work

I tried several headphones and none of them worked on my desk. Yes, they work on other devices, but when I plug them into my office there is no sound.

Are plug you it into the headphone jack on the front of the PC?

Try the green speaker plug front and rear.

Open the sound applet in Control Panel. Make sure that the sound card is selected for output by default and read the sound test.

  • Compaq cq20 205tu - headset does not work

I just bought this laptop 3 days ago.

the speakers are ok, but when I tried to listen to music using a headset, it doesn't! I went to the portion of sounds in the control panel to check if my headset does not work. He says he works. to check this further, I used the option "test" of the computer. I heard the beep on my left and right ears. but when I try to listen to music and watch videos, only the speakers are workin, NOT my headphones.

Please do help me. I don't really know what to do.

    Thank you!

I think that you have Vista.

Looks like your earphones must be defined for the playback device by default because your speakers are still to play the audio.

There is a white speaker icon in Vista right next to your clock, rightclick it choose the playback device and you will see the window come in the middle.

Normally the speakers to be on speakers with the green check mark.

If there is a category for headsets or USB headphones and told to work then you must right-click on your helmet and choose set as default playback device, then apply, ok and restart the computer.

    Try this.

  • Bluetooth headset does not work with Windows 7 - device is detected.

I have a Dell XPS 1530, which had Vista 32 bit running. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Ever after that the Bluetooth of DELL BH 200 headset does not work with my laptop.

The bluetooth adapter and the device is fine since I'm able to search and find all bluetooth devices, including my helmet. However, I get a yellow exclamation on the headset under devices. The headset can be paired with other devices such as my mobile and works very well.

I tried to update the drivers and reinstall the device and the adapter from the Device Manager. We have a similar setup on my brother's computer and it works fine.

Another thing to watch, would be what battery is used.  I know from personal exp some devices work with Toshiba stack, vs the MSFT pile up.  Do a search and see if anyone else uses a different battery with these devices. • Tecra 9100: Headset does not work

My Tecra 9100, headphone connector does not work. Do the good internal speaker. If I plug in headphones or external speakers, the interns are being extinguished, but external devices, I don't hear anything.

My sound card is generally, I thought that there could be a chance to solve the problem simply say - and reconnect wire/Council of the front-end connectors to the sound card... but I never did any technichal stuff in a Tecra, so it would be nice if someone could give me feedback where and how to open it, and if it's still a chance to solve my problem.

    Hello

If you can hear the sound from the internal speakers as well as the sound card works correctly.
In your case I recommend you first check the audio settings in the audio and audio devices you can find in the control panel.
    Check all THE audio controllers.

    1. what steps of troubleshooting was already on the PC?
2 the helmet does to the Surface?

I suggest you to run the audio and hardware troubleshooting tool and check if you get an error message. (See Solution 4' section

In addition, if the headset is detected on the Surface, then set as default device by following the same article. See the section "Solution 3"

  • X 51 headset does not work after nearly three years of work very well

I got my X 51 since August 2014 with no problems. Since a few days ago, the microphone on my headset (Vibration of genius) has stopped working. The headphones work fine.

I tried the front of rear catch and two different helmets - even. Same headphones on different external co work very well.

Manage Audio, micro devices has the default value. Nothing is cut according to the levels.

Downloaded the latest drivers from Realtek, run the installer twice (which uninstalls and reinstalls) - no change.

When I go to hardware and audio, he has his usual - manage Audio devices, where I did these things. There is also a NVidia control panel with a tab to Set Up Digital Audio, but that just seems to post a link to the Audio devices to manage. Under hardware and sound, there is also an Alienware Audio option (which I don't remember seen before), but still, nothing is cut.

I tested the microphone on the recording of the acoustic window tab, but no green lines rise when I talk. I also tried a video game, with in-game talk (Mechwarrior Online), no luck there. I also tried the call sound test on Skype, no luck there.

    I'm not sure things:

I have three listed under record on my acoustic window: Microphone, Line In and Stereo Mix - the other two are disabled...?

I read something that suggested to uninstall the driver manually and reinstall, but I know not where to do. For example, according to uninstall programs, I see an Nvidia HD Audio Driver 1.3.34.3 which was installed a couple of days - very probably the same day that my microphone no longer works. There is actually a half dozen NVidia components installed so far-should I just uninstall all?

I read a suggestion on these forums about ePSA running, so I did - and not that fast - and he said no problems.

I tried the system restore to two days ago, has not always worked. (I'm trying to overthrow that now)

Only options I can think are either use AlienRespawn to reset to the factory settings, and if it does not, in my view, that I still have the Alienware W7 install disc - could start all over again.

Any other suggestions before I resort to that?

    cosmic55

    1. There were two jacks for headphones and microphone - which is analog?

    2. I plugged a microphone to the USB - a literal hand micro - and it worked!

3 do suggest that material analog microphone is broken?

    4. maybe a USB headset work until I get fixed t?

    1 Yes
    2. right kind USB still works. Microphones and USB based headsets do not use the analog sound card hardware at all. They use the circuits of USB and USB-Audio corresponding to the device drivers.
    3. Yes.
    4. Yes. Apart from the replacement of the motherboard, it would be the solution. They make nice Helmets on USB gaming these days here.

  • Headset does not work with Express Scribe program in Windows 7

I transcribe court reporters and use a headset and the Express Scribe program.  Now that I'm on Win 7, the helmet has only sound on one side.  I put the default value as suggested, but still only one side works.  Didn't have this problem when I was on XP.  I'm not using Bluetooth.

My headset no longer works correctly.

    Hello

    a. What is the brand and the model number of this helmet?

    1. try to use the headphones on another computer and check if both sides work.
    2. If it works fine on another computer, try to use the headset on another audio port on your computer (if available).
    3. check the settings of your audio software for the adjustment of balance of the left and right speakers.

    Method 1.
Also try to check the following settings.
    1. click on start, then type sound in the text box start the search.
    2. click on its in the section mentioned above control panel.
    3. click the playback tab and click on the image with a green check mark next to him (should be the default device) so it is highlighted.
    4. click on the properties button.
    5. click on the Advanced tab.
    6. uncheck the box next to this line: "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
    7. click on OK.

  • Headset does not work

I just installed iTunes on a Windows 10 laptop and my headphones will not work with it. They will work with every other program, browser, video, just not iTunes.

    Hi moeflyr,

What kind of headphones you use on your PC?  You can contact the manufacturer to see if there is an update of firmware for them.  Other headphones work in iTunes?  Another thing to try on your PC is to ensure that the system volume is set to high and make sure your sound settings are stereo, mono.

    Take care

  • Toshiba Stack BT - headset does not work

    Hello

I use the battery Bluetooth for Windows by Toshiba Version 6.01.03 (D) on my Latitude D630 laptop.
This is the original manufacture of the laptop driver. I use Windows XP SP3.

Now I paired a headset Plantronics 510 PLT.

My first problem: I can choose between Bluetooth Wave (Voice) and my sound card in the sounds and Audio devices properties, when I am logged on as administrator. When I am logged in as a normal user with limited rights, I don't have the Bluetooth Wave (Voice) in the list. Why?

My second problem: even though I work as an administrator, I do not have anything on the Bluetooth headset.
It's a headset used by a friend, then perhaps it is damaged, but he said it should work.

Install the latest Bluetooth stack version. You can download it here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/?page=download
There are additional options to share your settings with other users on the system, which is the default value for the device configurations.
