I have a lot of software on my computer it's a nightmare to reinstall them. I have done many times because each time I have to send my computer in they reformat my hard drive. I think that my SOFTWARE that I am 'cheat' when it comes to having to REDO everything! So, my question is this: how good job Acronis cloning of hard disk and how hard is it to use it to install the new computer?
As well as what FoxFifth says you won't know whether the replacement machine is truly identical and could end up in h * he's pilot.

Yesterday, I received a phone call from a person claiming to be from Microsoft in my opinion. He said there is a serious problem with my computer and I have to go through him to set it right! A company called vap technology called me last night on my phone at home and said to my computer was about to crash. they were Indian speaking people and said they were working for microsoft support; as I am not a laptop user profficent of long date, I couldn't tell if they were or not. If they have access to your PC, they can install any number of malicious programs. My recommendation is to do a clean reinstall of Windows - it's the only way to be sure that your system is clean.
If you have them paid by credit card, tell your card provider immediately what has happenend.
All the data on your computer (passwords, credit card numbers, numbers of account documents, etc.) may have been compromised (they may not know now). According to the companies concerned (for example your bank) what happened.
Use another PC to change passwords.
Consider telling your local police.

Question about vmdk names and they are contained in folders
ESX 4.0 update 3 with a fileserver netapp fas2020.
I am running mbralign on my servers and it seems that some of our vmdk inconsistent naming what I what they be. I know I can rename the folder that contains the vmdk, but then, how can I change the path in the settings of the server itself to point to the new folder name? Also can I rename the vmdk somehow through CLI?
If you have vCenter and Storage vMotion, it's the best way to get the vCenter object name, the name of the datastore folder and it's underlying files to all the named correctly. You can storage vMotion invited and it will fix the naming convention.

Edit: there is a bug in vSphere5 that renames the folder but not she's underlying files using Storage vMotion. The solution is to rename the files through the CLI.

Hey there,
I had a problem with my NVIDIA 7100GS video card driver, because I did an update 04/11/2010.
the problem starts after rebooting my computer, the screen has crashed and a massege displayed saying "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered" that is of course after frozed of the screen in black, then blue screen appears and the computer restarts.
I've logged in safe mode and it worked fine, I guess it did not work on the graphics card, I use since I checked it using command "dxdiag" where a massege notavailable showed. However, I rebooted to new then vista automatically downloaded and istalled the pilot, and once again its crashed.
I downloaded and installed newest dirver for my map on the NVIDIA site screen, however, it would not solve the problem.
Some have said that it's a ram problem, others said his heat. I don't know that I'm not going to buy a new card.
so any help will be great.
