  My iMac 27 inches, end of 2012 stops randomly. I can just read News Articles, listening to music or watching YouTube videos and it'll just cut. I can just turn on either. I have to disconnect if for a minuet or two and then it can be powered on. I sent to a Genius Bar twice and said that they conducted tests of stress on it real long try to plant it and cannot reproduce the problem. I even had swapped power cable, and it still happens. I also plugged it directly into the wall, without going through the fuel rail. Getting real frustrating from the Apple Store nearest is an hour and a half, but if they cannot duplicate the question then I understand they cannot fix it. Sound also get near the end of my warranty Apple Care, so I want to fix this very soon.

  Firefox crashes. I think that Facebook is still running. I tried in safe mode and with all plugins disabled but it keeps crashing randomly. A few days without accidents at all. A few days three crashes in one minute.

  This seems to have solved the problem:

  Repair of TCP/IP stack for use with Vista or 7 options.

  Start - all programs - accessories and do right click on command prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.

  Restore the default install WINSOCK entries: netsh winsock reset catalog

  Reset the battery TCP/IP IPv4 default installation. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

  Reset the battery TCP/IP IPv6 default installation. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

  Reboot the computer.

  Now for my solution to all your problems.  When a computer goes 3 years it can start to have this kind of problems.  It is normally caused by conflicts with the drivers and the remains of remaining after installing and uninstalling programs.  In my opinion, your best option is to do a system restore.  This will return the computer in its original configuration.  Not only this will remove the conflicts and remainders of programs, but it will greatly increase the system performance.  However, before you begin, you must backup your personal data.  I do this at least once or twice a year.  I love the feel of a new computer without problem.

  I didn't think too deeply into it, but you're problem could come from making comparisons of string values... it's possible you get into an endless loop because ending up with a value, you get several early... If you sort the table in ascending order.

  So if you finally choose a number in the high-end of the first table as the first value, you may not be able to find one that you get in the tables later where numbers in them are in fact within a few most of the values in the tables first.

  My Firefox browser crashes randomly, say about 20 times a day. Only the browser window stops and opens the dialog box 'send report '.   Oddly even though I could see speedbit mentioned in your reports of incidents and the title of related bug I didn't see he's looking for to your system details side. It is a component of something else, or Firefox support simply not picked up and listed.

• -win 7 64 - all versions of Firefox (tested 17-20.b) keep crashing except if used in compatibility XP sp3

  Since yesterday my firefox crashes, sometimes I have the option to reset firefox or start in safe mode. Using only the mode without failure of firefox works fine (but without plugins/addons)

  So I did a fresh reinstall (No Add ons etc) thought to solve the problem.
  I was using v19 when all this happened so retrograde to v17 hoping to fix it.
  Now, I tried to v20b v17 and all keep crashing when used "normally".
  After the new installation I have more the possibility to use the firefox safe.

  If my recollection is correct, I had a few Java Update at the time of the first collision. I also tried to use the automatic update of win7, but those failed.
  I therefore also uninstalled all java components, installed fresh firefox and tried to start firefox, before and after reinstalling java.

  The only way to make firefox work now uses the Windows XP (sp3) to windows compatibility.

  I have no system restore points win7, so there is no option to use.
  All other software (and browser) work very well... only firefox crashes all the time.
