My iPad will not keep my Google account.

I need to connect to a Google Calendar and my families calendars.   My Mac, my wife, my iPhone, my wife's iPhone Mac and my old iPad could connect without any problems.   But recently I replaced my iPad with an iPad pro.

The calendar app does not see Google Calendar.  I went to Settings/Mail, Contacts, calendar / and clicked on add account.   I selected 'Google', connected and got the screen where I could turn off everything except for the calendar - about half a second before the screen went back to 'add an account '.  The account has not been added.

But I * fact * receive an email from Google saying 'New sign from iPad.

It is not just stick on the iPad the way it does with my other devices.

Any suggestions of what to try next?

Automatic installation of Google is maybe not correct. Try to select another and entering a bogus address, for example [email protected]. You will then be able to configure all settings manually. Don't forget to configure the SMTP (sender) parameters as well as the receiver.

    • Google account: No. If Firefox don't forget your Google password, you can log into your account and save it again.
    • E-mail: No. your email is not stored in Firefox, it is either stored on the e-mail service provider's website or a separate e-mail program, or both.
    • writing files: I'm not sure what this is. If you are using an add-on to create/save these files, then it is possible that the files will be gone after a refresh because the data associated with the modules are removed. However, if you have created these files in any other way, they should not be affected.
    • Microsoft Word program: No.. A Firefox Refresh does not affect the Microsoft applications.
    • Internet Explorer: No.. A Firefox Refresh does not affect the Microsoft applications.

    I noticed that you mentioned a "Reset". Windows has a reset function. I'm only talking about Firefox built in refreshment and not resetting Windows.

    When you pull the top of the page for Google Calendar, tap the icon just to the right of the web address box.  It looks like a square with an arrow pointing to the right.

    Now you will see the options to 'Add bookmark' or 'add to Launcher '.  The first will create a bookmark for you in the browser, the second will the page as an icon in the Launcher.

    If you want, you could drag the icon created on your home page.

    I guess you mean that the sync button in iTunes, not on the iPad, will not work. If you are sure you have the latest version of iTunes and iOS (your profile shows 8.1) try quitting iTunes on the computer, restart the computer and force restart your iPad

    No data is lost during this procedure. Hold on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

    In the privacy section of the Firefox options, make sure that Firefox is configured to accept cookies and that it is not set to clear history of Firefox closing.

    (If you use the default "Remember history" then it should work fine. If you use the "customized for the history settings" setting, and then make sure that "Accept cookies" is checked and "clear history of Firefox closing is not checked.)

    There seems to be a bit of a problem past, especially with older models of iPad 2. Some people have reported success after that restore their device via iTunes, for others that it has not worked and all they get is a message "bring it in an apple store.

    Since it affects a lot of people, I think it's safe to say that the problem lies in the range of Apple. But I don't think it is recognized or no matter what put forward fix.

    You can try to restore your device, or you may just be stuck waiting to see if a fix comes out.
