My iPhone 6 won't Live Photos

I have an iPhone 6 and even if the software is fully updated it will not give me living photo option when using my camera. Is there something in the settings that I need to change?

Live photos no longer available on the 6s, 6s and the SE

  • Failed to Load Video iPhone - cannot change Live photos

I accidentally pulled a bunch of live photos and want to create still photos of them.  When you attempt to change the live photo, you receive an error message, "does not have video support, there was an error loading this video."  What can I do?  I read that you can edit the live pictures to create a picture, but for some reason any I encounter this error.  Help, please!

I also had this problem with my live photos. It tries to load the live photo, but then he'll give me a «!» Error message. I have it turned off, until a hard reset and nothing. I hope someone has a solution for this.

  • Live Photos appears does not automatically on Mac... ?

I have some live Photos on my iPhone. I imported my Mac in picture 1.5 but when I surfed through them they appear only as static. There is a small direct button in the left corner of the button of these pictures animating them in a video, but it must be manually pressed.

Any way to have the same automatic effect the we have on the iPhone?

That's how Live Photos work in pictures for Mac.  If you place the pointer over the thumbnail, thumbnail of anime. And if you enlarge the photo, you must click on the button Live:

What version of Photos do you use?

In the Photos on macOS X Sierra: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.2/?lang=en#/pht56eafa987

With some iPhone models, you can take the pictures Live, which captures a still image and the moments just before and after the image. You can import a picture of living in Photos, then find, edit and share it or replace it with a fixed image.

    • Open a Live Photo: Double-click the thumbnail of the photo.
    • Play Live Photo: Rest the pointer on the thumbnail of the photo or on the Live Photo badge when you view a picture. If you have a trackpad force Touch, force click on Live Photo.
    • Change a live picture to a still image: Select the photo, and then choose Image > Turn Off Live Photo. To be able to play again the Live Photo, select the photo, and then choose Image > turn on the Photo to live.

For information on exporting or online photo sharing, see export slideshows, videos and photos, transfer photos with AirDrop, Use of Messages to share photosand Add photos, video clips and live for a moment or a collection to an album Photos shared.

If you use Live Photos in print projects like books, cards and calendars, they appear as still images when printing.

  • Live photo showing 2 different files in photos app on mac!

    Hello

I recently imported photos from my iphone to my Mac using photos for OSX app. But after graduating successfully imported it shows me two different elements i.e. photo itself & a short video. So for my 300 live photos it's show me 300 photos and 300 videos.

So why it shows two different files, I suppose, that it should show only direct photo because it shows on my iPhone.

I also tried to repair the library command to open the photos app, but it did not work. Help, please!

    Thank you

    Amar

Live webcam picture is two files, a picture and a video - what it is

where are you seeing the two files?

If you really have OS X 10.10.1 and Photos 1.0 as you say then that's the problem - you are updated to eleven or twelve behind and these updates included support Live Photo - you must upgrade to El Captain OS X 10.11.6 and Photos 1.5

  • My iPhone 6sPlus just save my photos m4v instead of JPEGs image. How can I get them to JPEG?

I have been shooting still photos with my iPhone 6sPlus.

All of a sudden this evening all of my images have been recorded as m4v files.

My iMac is trying to open them in Real Player.

I want to just still jpegs.

How can I adjust to save pictures in JPEG format again?

    Hello

You took your pictures as Live Photos (it is enabled by default), which combine a photo with a short video of the moments just before and just after that photo was taken, with audio included.

Live Photo is enabled by default. To activate or deactivate, press the Live pictures of the camera on your iPhone app (yellow lights):

For existing photos, to only import the photo part yet to your Mac running an earlier version of Mac OS X, connect your iPhone to your computer, open the image transfer application and only import the jpg for each photo.

  • Live photos in video

I don't know when this happened, possibly after the most recent update, but most of my Live Photos made of short clips of second 3. Nobody knows how to solve this problem/restore clips in photos? Remember to turn off the live Webcam photo for the moment, so that can't see all photos. Not sure if this question is limited to certain devices, but I use an iPhone more than 6 s and a MacBook Air.

In fact, this is what live Photos. Depending on how you import pictures on how they are read on the computer. I don't use a Mac, but I know that that's how it is on my Windows computer. There is only one image and then the short video. Someone who knows more about the Mac and their photo apps could explain better.

  • Select a single image of a Live Photo Webcam

I accidentally turned on Live Photos.  I have a dozen of them.  I want to choose the best picture of each of them and to keep only that frame.  I know how to do this with gusts of photos, but how do you go with Photo Live?  Thank you.

    Cindyjk g ' Day,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you want to select the best image of Live Photos you've imported into the application Photos of your MacBook Pro. I use my iPhone to take pictures all the time and I can help you.

For now, it is not possible to select individual images in a Photo to live as you can picture out loud.

More information on Live Photos are in the Photo help manual.

    Best regards.

  • do the live photo album

Anyone know if this is possible? I tried to synchronize several live photos, but it seems to pull only the live photo then if you type it would go on the rest, but they are static. You are not sure if we still support it?

    Hello

To view a Live Photo (which shows the Live Photo badge in the lower corner on the right) on Apple Watch, open the Photos app, and then tap and hold the picture.

Need Photos to be synced an album on your iPhone online, but not my photo stream, which does not work with the video.

If your Photos Live not fully synced to your watch, try the following steps:

    • Make sure you have selected a photo album containing pictures Live:
      • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > Photos > Album synchronized > choose an album containing Live Photos (but not my photo stream).
    • Check that Bluetooth and Wi - Fi are activated on your iPhone:
      • Settings > Bluetooth.
      • Settings > Wi - Fi.
    • Make sure that your watch is connected to your iPhone:
      • In the time display, glisser drag upward on the face of the watch, then swipe left/right for the look of parameters.
      • Check if your watch shows connected and shows a picture of a green phone as a status icon.
      • Disable airplane Mode if it is active (press airplane Mode to enable / disable).
      • Slide down once again to exit the looks.
    • Restart your iPhone and your watch. Close the two devices together, and then restart your iPhone first:
      • To turn off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off.
      • To reactivate: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
    • Allow a reasonable period for your photo album to synchronize before checking again.

  • Live photos became videos

    Hello

I have an iPhone 6 s (which can take direct pictures) and an iPad 2 (both running iOS 9.2.1), as well as an iMac running OS X 10.11.3 and Photos 1.3.

I noticed that some of my live (all older) photos became videos. For each, I get a completely still image and a long video of then three seconds, rather than a single direct photo.

As I iCloud library enabled, it is replicated on all my devices.

I have not touched the files.

Other (newer) live photos appear as photos live, in line with expectations.

Is it possible to fix this? In other words, can I change the image + video direct to photo combo?

    Thank you.

    I still have this problem.

Progress only I did are finding another thread where users have the same problem. It does not, for the moment, seems to be a solution for this bug.
