I'm on my laptop, I try to print something on my kodak esp c315 and nothing happens. I'm not using a port or usb cable

Hello

1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

2. how the printer is connected to the computer?

3. have you been able to print earlier the same printer?

4. What is the exact error and complete when printing fails?

5. What is you are trying to print?

6. what operating system do you use?

Connect the printer to a different computer and check if you are able to print.

Connect another printer to this computer and verify if you are able to print.

Method 1.

I suggest you to follow the steps in these articles and check if that helps.

    Hello

See the following steps to solve your problem:

Click Start / run and type "services.msc" without the quotes, and then press enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print spooler" on the right

Right click on "Print spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and replace all drop-down lists 3 "Restart the Service".

Make sure that the 2 text boxes under '1' in them say.

Click Ok until you return to the Services window, close that and're you good to go.

Go to the properties of the "print spooler" tab, then click Start to restart the print spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The print spooler depends on the remote procedure call (RPC) service. This service is disabled? Go to look for RPC services.msc. Check the status: automatic

  • OfficeJet Pro8610: OfficeJet Pro8610 will not print from any website

I use Win7 (64 bit) with SP1 and I had to replace an OfficeJet 6700 with a new all-in-one. I did it with an OfficeJet Pro8610 yesterday.  After a struggle to get the printer works wirelessly (it was necessary to connect to my laptop (HP) via a USB 1 port) I went to an online brokerage account last night and printed a statement.  When I tried to do exactly the same thing today I can't print of this site I've always been able to do with my old 6700 OfficeJet-it'ds.  In fact I can not print from any Bank, brokerage, etc sites now.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, both online and with the CD rom, I turned off the printer, the laptop and the router and I have the same problem.

Has anyone seen this kind of problem and managed to fix the problem.  Thanks for the help.

Google Chrome has a tendency to stick to old files, printing and print settings. To resolve this problem, you will need to change the Destination before printing of Chrome. If your print queue is configured correctly and that you can print from other programs, then open print your window chrome. On the left hand side, click on change.

Once you do you will be able to modify the print queue that uses Chrome and you should be able to print your PDF documents.

Regarding the suggestion of networking if you see guidelines referring to the activation of the web services or by entering your request on the connected HP Code then you can skip these directions. These instructions are primarily for the ePrint service.

Hi @RDVNA and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having problems of selection of bac. I would like to help!

I have a few steps to get started:

I would recommend starting with a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I suggest also download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations.

With one that does not initialize the print job, and then a minute later, it says "Unable to print Document" when I open the HP Solution Center, it says "work has not print because of an error in the printing system." The laptop is able to communicate with the printer, it can check the connection settings, get ink levels, scanner works very well, etc., but never print jobs is completed.

  • Photosmart 7850 will not print off my laptop

I have a HP Photosmart 7850. It worked fine on my old office. I use a Toshiba laptop now.

Twice I downloaded the Doc print from your site, and he sent a test print.... both worked.  However, I am still not able to print the laptop.

I plugged the USB, printer, etc. I tried to use the CD with installation /download, but every time it says "Installation on the computer that is running is one of the supported Microsoft operating systems."  I have Windows 8.

I need to print some important documents and get this operational printer.

Is there a driver or a full CD download - as I can install it without the CD?

Thanks for any help. (Toshiba is a "Satellite Pro C850 Series).

  • New wireless brother MFC-495 does not print Windows XP laptop

Similar to other issues but quite different:

1 installed the printer on the desktop that does not have wireless using the USB port.  Prints.

2nd software installed on my laptop wireless.  I can see the printer in the Printers folder, it says ready, but will not be printed.  Printer has been implemented with the SSID, etc. and has even an indicator that it's getting the wireless signal.  I know that the laptop is wireless or I would not be writing from it now.

How do I get my laptop and printer to really talk to each other?  BTW, my wireless router works fine from my phone runs Android on it.  Power doesn't have to be on the desktop for this.

I really don't want the computers on the network since I will be out of the office, but so far the system made me do in my attempts to get the printer to print wireless.

    Rose

I have all the IP addresses, but rather would not provide them.  Had problems with the protection of privacy on several fronts recently.

When I go to printers and faxes, I have several printers 'shared' here.  Probably because I installed the drivers for the printer on the desktop and laptop.  Regardless, none of the printers to print from the laptop from the desktop computer.  The port on one is "roselaptop": Port TCP/IP Standard.  The other is COM4: serial port.  I have 2 computers on a network as a network home and figured that should solve the problem.  The laptop is the "residential gateway" in the network set up.  Looks like I should be able to add this wireless printer to the network.  It's playback a signal very well.

I'll try to disconnect the USB cable from the desktop computer and see what happens.

Thank you for all your detailed descriptions that have helped me!

    Rose

You are currently too caveats regarding the IP addresses, but may help the following:

When you have a router, the ONLY IP address that is "seen" by the rest of the Internet is one assigned to your router by your ISP.  The router assigns IP addresses to the devices to the 'internal' - your LAN - that's why they are called "private" IP addresses  There are three blocks of these private IP addresses: 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255; 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255; and 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255.  Almost every router uses the third block (which has the smallest number of possible addresses).  And almost every default router uses is 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.0.255 or 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.255.

Regardless a block of IP addresses used by your router, it is important that all devices are on the same subnet.  For example, if the default gateway (which is the local IP address of the router) is 192.168.1.1, then your computer AND the printer must have the form 192.168.1.x IP addresses.  If your default gateway is 192.168.0.1, then others should be 192.168.0.x.

The difference between a shared printer and a network printer, the shared printer is a "resource" of a computer that is connected to the network.  In order to access a shared resource (if it is a file on the hard disk of the computer, or a printer attached to the computer by a cable of USB, series or parallel), the computer that "owns" the resource must be turned on and connected to the network.

In your original post, you said that you had a wireless router.  This is the typical way that specific set up networks.  It is inconsistent, however, describing your laptop as the residential gateway.  Maybe say you you see an icon called "Residential gateway" laptop "My Network Places."  If so, this icon represents your router.

Your description of the ports is also confused.  Usually, when you configure a port for the printer, the port name is the name you give to the printer - not the laptop.  But what is important here is that the IP address displayed on the screen 'Set up the Port' for the port of "TCP/IP Standard" that the printer uses (the one with the box), must be the same as the IP address assigned to the printer (which you find in print 'report Network Configuration' from the control panel of the printer).

  • 4524 HPEnvy: Unable to print from my laptop

I have a HP Envy 4524. I can print from my Ipad but not my laptop HP Pavilion. When I try to print from my laptop paper feeds by perfectly, but there is no printing on it. There is no question from my ipad. I've already printed normally from the laptop to the printer. Any help appreciated. I should add that test printing prints perfectly. His only docs etc.

I re-installed the printer and all the drivers from scratch and I think it has solved the problem. Do not have time to do a lot of printing, but the three pages that I've done are very good. Phew! There was also a large 10 Windows Update available so I wonder if that had something to do with it.

  • Windows 7, and homegroup to print from my laptop connected wireless...

I have 3 desktop computers running Windows 7, all networking, all in a homegroup with a HP all-in-One printer attached to one of the desktop computers. I also have a Toshiba laptop, also Windows 7 computer in wireless network and as part of the homegroup. When I print from the laptop, sometimes it will print and other times, it will send the print job but it's like the printjob enters the twilight zone and nothing happens. Confused on how to solve this problem, any suggestions?

    Hello

    1. What is the number of the HP printer model?

2 are you able to print correctly on other computers?

    3. who is the antivirus installed on the laptop program? Is there a firewall integrated with the antivirus?

    4. is this problem limited to any specific application such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word etc.?

It seems that the firewall program is blocking the printer. I suggest you perform the steps.

    Method 1:

Step 1: if you have McAfee or Norton installed on the computer, you can change the default firewall settings and check.

Step 2: Disable the anti-virus software if installed some and check.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Restart the print spooler service

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    a. open Administrative tools by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type administrative tools, and then click Administrative tools.
    b. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    c. right-click on print spooler service and then click Properties.
    d. under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
    e. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Start and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • OfficeJet 6000 computer connected to windows 7. Unable to print from the laptop Windows XP

Printer connected by USB to the Windows 7 desktop.  Printing is fine.  I have two computers on the same network of working group, file sharing is allowed.  My laptop detects the printer on the network, but there is apparently a driver problem.  The disc supplied with the printer will only install on XP and Vista, so downloaded the drivers for the new office of windows 7.  I either get a message "Failed to print" or "the handle is invalid."  When I tried to connect to the printer via the network of sharing and tried to open it, I was told that the wrong drivers were located on the server.  He had the air of a file with *. INF.  Do I have the wrong drivers on the desktop or do I need to install the drivers on the laptop?  I never had this problem with my old Vista desktop.

Hello.  Finally, I was able to install additional drivers for XP on the server computer and can now print from the laptop.  Thanks for the help!
