My laptop constantly overheats

My laptop is overheating in playing games, even when playing games low requirement on the low graphics settings. She warms up to 25 degrees centigrade, at 98 degrees centigrade in 10-15 minutes. The computer has a cooling plate, but it does not affect the temp.

Here are my computer specs:
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium SP2

Laptop ASUS G50V Series

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00 GHz

4.00 GB RAM

64-bit operating system

NVIDIA GeForce 9700 GT

Hello

Overheating is usually caused by a fan failure or excessive CPU usage by system or virus programs.

System programs may include anti-virus etc...

In both cases the damage may occur if overheating and do not forget.

If all attempts are made to change the situation fails, then it better to set the laptop to repair technicians or your laptop manufacturer, that allows to determine the real cause of overheating.

Some households have dust particles in the air that accumulate inside the laptop and the system overheat when there is too much dust inside.

If this is the case then get the laptop repaired by the manufacturer of your laptop is the best resolution for this problem.

Hope this helps,

  • Why must my laptop constantly back up?

My laptop has saved on discs 3 times already and is need to save again. Is there a way to prevent him from trying to save every two weeks?

You must go to the backup settings and change the backup schedule or disable the backup. This means that you backup all files will be lost if your computer is to plant in the future.

    Hello

My name is Lee I'm a main computer repair technician.

for all homeowners who currently have a laptop in the series DV that I'm posting a blog on your display no video options and overheating problems and they be fixed easily if you don't feel like you wasted a ton of money.

Laptop turns on but has no video right?

    laptop constantly overheats rights?

OK, the first step is to breakdown completely your laptop just the motherboard or (MoBo) itself.  That means disconnect all wires and so now all the ribbons must be removed!

second step is to remove the processor, or cpu and remove everything and every bit of stickers or plasticity that covers the components on your motherboard.

3rd stage Preheat your oven at 285 degrees celsius

4th level use tin foil to cover transistors or plastic parts may melt...

step 5 find a container any who adapts easily to your motherboard in

step 6 place your mobo in the Pan and place it in the oven with your chipsets to the top (very important!)

step 7 make sure you time your oven if you have a timer thast probably more effective for 15 minutes...

step 8 very critical!   When you are 2 minutes from the end, place your oven on setting HI broil...

step 9 when the timer goes off, turn off the oven and remove the oven by opening the door to half way with a fan turns any...

10th and final stage.     After 30 minutes, get out the motherboard in the oven and put back together then WAL LAA!  your laptop work perfect... Make sure that the ventilation openings on the bottom cover of the laptop are clean of all the particles and dust as well as the radiator and the fan...

  • Equium A300D - 13 X overheats and turns off by itself

The laptop is only 14 months old the problem occurred for a while now and can be annoying.
The time can varry on when the device is overheating then go off.

I cleaned the unit to the compressed air to get rid of any dust.
The fan works fine, the software is genuine.

    Can someone help thank you.

    > This seems to be a problem in the face of most of the people with an Equium a300d but not one that Toshiba is ready to own up to. I have the same problem with my machine, which is 15 months old
    It is a big nonsense!

You will notice a question also on all series of laptop, any manufacturer!
Your laptop is 15 months old! More than 2 years!
Did you clean the fans, cooling grids, etc. during this period?
I imagine that you didn t.

You know that laptop still overheats if cooling modules are full of dust and debris, this prevents air circulation and temperature arises at a higher level!

I clean my vents from time to time with the help of compressed air jet and guess what? It is useful!

  • Photosmart HP 7510 - cannot stop the laptop to his research when it is off

I just purchased the Photosmart 7510 and am very satisfied with its performance so far, however, in these times of conscious energy, I only turn on the printer when I want to use it, but it means that my laptop constantly looking for him all 20 or so who is really annoying, especially since I only use the printer once or twice a week , but use my laptop almost every day!  I looked through all of the instructions and the online help but can't find how to access the configuration screen that allows me to adjust the way my laptop connects to the printer.  I'm sure I've seen something in the original configuration screens but have been unable to find my way back to allow me to change the settings.  Someone out there enlighten us?

    Hello daisie71

Go to the Toolbox for your printer and click on the Advanced tab. You should see the option display the alerts of ink. If it is not already set, change it to "when I print. If it's on the "right away" the computer will try to query the printer for ink status and can continue to try. Maybe it's the problem that you are experiencing.

If this does not work I suggest try to uninstall the printer and reinstall with the latest full feature driver.

  • Satellite P105-S6147 gets hot

If you are unable to access this link, it's for a Satellite P105-S6147 under the heading support capsules.

I thought I was relieve a problem that might appear in the future, but what I have now, it's a laptop much warmer that is internal fan turns on constantly even if he is sitting on a laptop cooler. I have had this machine for about a year now (and bought the cooling block at the same time) and I can count the number of times where ever I felt the heat from the machine (I speak from beneath my fingers on the keys).

After a few days of this behavior, I thought I'd do a system restore that would change to original bios and the system restore was successful. However, the laptop still seems more hot than before and the fan kicks on often internal especially when svchost has climbed by about 30% CPU, and if I have several programs open.
Before that, the cooler laptop seems to work enough.

I did no changes of parameters of power, unless the bios flashing brings changes in power settings. But it not always cause feel me the heat from the keyboard would? Could be overheating my battery?

Seems to be more common when the a/c power cord is connected.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

    > After a few days of this behavior, I thought I'd do a system restore that would change to original bios and the system restore succeeded
This is not good. Restoring the system to refresh the Windows operating system preinstalled, but not the BIOS.

One question; have you noticed any sudden and abrupt stops?
It is a common symptom in case of overheating of the laptop.
The notebooks are supported protection against overheating. This protection will close the laptop if the temperature rises to a higher level.
If the computer laptop doesn t turn off then the temperature inside the computer laptop doesn t come at a critical level.

For most dust and debris inside the cooling modules prevent the fans work properly and therefore these overheating problems could happen
In such cases, it s advisable to clean the fan using a jet of compressed air.

Conversely, the laptop can overheat if you n t use drivers graphics original Toshiba!
The graphics driver Toshiba control the performance of the GPU. If the temperature of the GPU is too high, then the graphics driver decreases performance of the GPU to decrease the temperature of the GPU.
This is necessary because the notebooks do not have huge cooling modules like graphics cards for desktop PC.

The non-Toshiba drivers are not certified and not tested and can not control the GPU performance as the drivers of Toshiba.
That is why a graphics driver non-Toshiba might be the reason of this overheating!

  • 27 "+ monitor of type C in the United Kingdom?"

    Afternoon,

Recently I've been looking for a more tidy installation my Mac Book Pro 15 "(rétine fin 2013)." I have the henge horizontal dock now, but my laptop constantly get hot (fan will nut) and when I run the mac and 2 external performance of the screens are terrible compared to the execution of installation even without the docking station. I don't know why.

In any case, I was looking around and I see there is such a thing as a monitor that you can run with your MAC that acts as a host/HUB for the Mac Dock. And all via a single cable wired to the mac? Display port to a port of Type C 3.1 at the back of the monitor. So far I have found that a LG and acer have all two monitors type c. I chose is called Acer H277HU. Now here's the weird part. I can't find this exact model, which comes with a connection of type-c at the back, to the United Kingdom? In fact I can't find any available for sale in the United Kingdom the monitors who says anything about a port of type c in their specifications. This particular mode has a UK version but it does not have a port of type-c at the back of the monitor in the images or mentions a connection of type c in the specifications?

Here, I'm a bit confused. These are simply not an option in the United Kingdom or something? I hope someone can help us with that.

Why a port of type C, your Mac is not, is - this according to the Henge?

  • Satellite C650 - Question about cooling fan

I recently bought the Toshiba Satellite C650 with processor i3 Intel and Windows 7 Home. When I see the bottom cover there are no holes for the cpu cooling fan intake air (there only the circle mark on the case under the cooling fan). Pls confirm me it is a manufacturing defect or not.

I also ran a cpu + the base temperature software and find core temp goes up to 72 ° C in one step and I feel very hot blowing through the radiator.

    Hey Buddy,

    > When I see the bottom cover there are no holes for the cpu cooling fan intake air
Who is normal and it s according to the laptop and the material. Different laptops have different cooling systems. This would mean that there are some laptops with no holes directly under the fan air intake. For fresh air holes are placed elsewhere to generate some air flow. If the other pieces of equipment can be cooled as well.

There are already some threads here in the forum and as you can see it's really normal:

    > I also ran a cpu + basic temperature software and found core temp goes up to 72 ° C in one step, and I feel very hot blowing through the radiator.
How did you check the temperature?
Always it is if everything works well don t care about the temperature. In this case, that the laptop could overheat, it would off himself to protect the equipment. ;)

  • Satellite P200D turns off suddenly!

    Hello!

I own a Satellite P200D since November and a few days now, I am facing a strange problem. My laptop died suddenly in different times.

In January, I decided to go back to XP, because Vista are always terrible, and I found all the necessary drivers but the graphics. For my Mobility Radeon HD2400 * I used the official driver from ATI (Radeon HD2400 series) * after having it modified with Mobility Modder of Driverheaven to make "Mobility Radeon" and not only "Radeon".

A few days now, when I play poker or other, my laptop produces high heat and suddenly off (probably when overheating reached its maximum limit). Are the drivers the problem?

If Yes, where can I find the good? Or is it because my cooling system does not work? (The 2 radiators work very well)

However, even if my laptop is overheating, should not reduce my card capacity to lower the temperature? I can't know.

    Could you help me guys?
    Thanks for in advance!

    Hello

Your suggestion might be right it really seems like the laptop could overheat.
Why? Well maybe the use of non-Toshiba graphic driver could lead to overheating of the graphics card.
Always is it that Toshiba own graphics drivers are slightly modified and supports and overheat protection. The pilot controls the graphic performance and decrease the performance if the increase in temperature to a critical level is needed because the notebook GPU is not equipped with huge cooling modules as the graphics cards of office

So you should always use the graphics drivers from the page of Toshiba to prevent laptop overheating and closures automatically

  • SP6000 display problems

    Hello
I wonder if anyone can help. I have a laptop SP6000 and recently my screen played upward. After a while of using my laptop (varies between 5 mn - 20 minutes), my screen becomes weird with lines on the screen, making it difficult to read. Just before he does this, you can hear a small clicking noise which seems to be on when the screen seems to go.

Once this happens, you must force the laptop close by pressing and holding the "power" button, after which the laptop refuses to turn up to about 45-60 min.

I wonder if anyone else has had similar problems, and if so, any ideas as to what it could be. With the price of laptops constantly falling, need to know if it would be useful to have it repaired, or just the laptop pit, all together.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

It's hard to delay a sotware problem in your case! The simplest and the best way is to do a restore with the Toshiba Recovery CD. Back UP your DATA before you do! After having done that your laptop is set back by default from the operating system settings and should work if it was a software failure.
Otherwise, you should contact a Service partner. They should check the display and the th FLinverter!

  • HP Envy 15-k050sr: poor Wi - Fi on the Envy 15

    Good time of day,

I bought a new laptop (HP Envy 15-k050sr, Windows 8.1) and I have a very bad Wi - Fi connection. I work at 0.5 meter of Wi - Fi router... If I move to another room or even in a few metres away, the laptop constantly loses the connection Wi - Fi and the speed is also very bad. I thought it's something with my previous Wi - Fi router settings, but in fact the old laptop works fine with it and I've tried other places with different types of routers - with each of them, I have the same problem.

The network card is Broadcom BCM 43142 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter.

    Driver provider: Broadcom

    Driver date: 31.07.2014

    Driver version: 6.223.215.14

Now I need to go to a business trip, and I feel that the laptop will not be a friend to me.

What is a reason of the problem? Is it possible to improve it?

    Thank you in advance!

Yesterday, I checked a large number of different items and solved the problem. I installed the two packages, not sure that it is fixed.

1 sp58720 - HP wireless button Driver. The aircraft was unknown on my laptop, so I found about and installed the driver. But actually I don't have the button on the laptop. It's really weird.

2 sp64950 - 2012 Ralink Wireless LAN Controller driver. I do not think that this can affect on the problem, because I do not have the Ralink devices here, but actually I found a HP page with recommendations to install the driver in the event of such problems for the long list laptops, including the HP Envy 15.

I hope it helps someone to solve the same problems.

  • Satego: After 2.30 - bios update the fan operating even in economy mode

    Hello
I upgraded my BIOS Satego X 200 at 2.30 and the cell phone was much noisier than before due to the fan-activity. (Vista and Linux).
Now, I've downgraded to 1.50 again. Much better.

I need the BIOS upgrade for something specific?
Temperature too high with the older BIOS, so that there could be a problem of heat if I don't pass?

    Joachim

    > Do I need BIOS upgrade for something specific?
Usually, the update of the BIOS is unnecessary if your laptop runs successfully, no worries.

    > Was too high temperature with the older BIOS, so that there could be a heat problem if I don't pass?
Well, I m not 100% sure, but maybe the table fan has been changed in the new version of the BIOS and that's why the cooling modules run faster with superior performance.
Perhaps the table fan has been changed to prevent overheating of the laptop. If the laptop could overheat then could damage parts such as GPU or CPU
