Oh, we still think. Using anti-virus software? It scans your outgoing messages? Try to turn off the power; It can slow down transmission in order to trigger a timeout on the server.

  • where can I find my server outgoing smtp password and I might as well ask where my incoming server password is too much?

I have THUNDERBIRD for my email. Very happy with it. My computer is dead, new computer purchased Windows 7 on purpose. But no one can help me load Thunderbird because we can't find these passwords... they ask? Any help would be appreciated. WindowLIVE mail drives me crazy. I'm old and not stupid 65, but the computer is stressing me without end I received over 70 emails per day. I really don't want to give up my bellsouth account. I don't want to go through att. I like the look and feel of thunderbird. Help... Thanks in advance. MaryLOST

They are stored together... so you will find them all at once.

Tools menu > options > Security > passwords > saved passwords > show passwords

However, I think that your problem is more likely your anti virus/firewall blocking Thunderbird. Often, when your request a password that's not incorrect settings, it is anti virus did not cooperate. It is with ATT security suite powered by McAfee and Norton suite.

Turn off email scanning in your anti virus program. Component check and firewall allows Thunderbird explicitly. Car is not good enough apparently. If this does not work for you. Please add the troubleshooting information to your post

  • Mail server outgoing Comcast IMAP offline

I'm on OS 10.11.3 and Mail 9.2 0n an iMac. I have an IMAP of Comcast account. The outgoing mail server is offline. The Comcast site is not really useful, as it shows how to configure using Mail 7 - entry in '9' screens are different. It doesn't seem to be a way to enter the incoming and outgoing port information. I tried to restart, again my password, etc.. I know that the fault is not at the level of the Comcast server, I sent mail to my account via outlook of suggestions on how to solve this problem?

    Hi Fl iMac,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. Sorry to hear that you encounter these problems with your e-mail account in El Capitan. If you think it may be a problem with incorrect port, it is possible to change the configuration of the port for both mail servers incoming and outgoing, but not in the same place:

-For the incoming server, you would go to Mail > Preferences > accounts, select the account in question on the left side, and then select the Advanced tab to the right. Must say Port: and allow you to select the authentication.

-For the outgoing server, you would go to Mail > Preferences > accounts and select your account on the left. Then, in the tab main account information , where it says mail server outgoing (SMTP), you click on the menu down and select Edit SMTP Server list... In the window that opens, you would select the correct outgoing server in the list above, then select the tab Advanced settings below. Again, you should see an option that defines the Port: and authentication.

Ensure that the analysis of the electronic mail is disabled (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).  Then delete the account completely and compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then try to add the account back again.  Also check webmail works fine.

  • Unable to connect to the outgoing SMTP server.

I have two computers that I send and receive my email.  The two computer email settings are identical and have never been altered or tampered with.  Recently my desktop computer now will not send e-mail.  He receives by e-mail very well.  I have full internet access and no further questions of the functioning of any software or hardware on this computer.  Yet, it does not connect to servier the smtp Protocol to send outgoing emails.  I checked and double checked all the settings and configurations of installation as dictated by MSN for email.  All the settings are the same on both computers.  Both computers use Windows XP.  Both computers connect to the internet via a LAN connection.  Since all settings are the same on both computers and my desktop computer is the only one who will not send, what in the world could be the problem and how can I fix this problem?  Microsoft doesn't seem to be of any help at this point.

    Brimik,
I just want to check that I understand the installation program.  You have two computers to check your email.  Is your office and it doesn't send email more.  If this is correct, then it seems that if your outgoing mail server port is blocked in your office.  If you are able to check with your IT Department, they should be able to tell if something could block the port leaving 995.
Or if you have installed a firewall program, it could be blocking that as well.  If you need to make sure that you will allow access to the program of electronic mail within the firewall program.

  • How to determine the outgoing (SMTP) server settings?

    ErrorMessage:
    The message send failed.
The message could not be sent to the help of Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.uniq.edu.ht for an unknown reason. Check that your outgoing (SMTP) server settings are correct and try again...

How to do this? The parameters are defined automatically. Maybe Thunderbird should check its database of the email provider.

It would appear that the outgoing serer must be
Outgoing mail server: (SSL) box810.bluehost.com (server requires authentication) port 465

THEN right-click on the account in the list and select settings
Open the entry in the list of accounts for the outgoing (SMTP) Server
Select your outbound service, and then click on edit.
Update of the parameters specified by your provider.

Now, I got my information on page 15 of this document.

  • When you set the outgoing SMTP server, why not specifying the SMTP server 'by' is not working, but only the first specified server?

I have several options for the outgoing SMTP server. I put a default and attempt to send. It fails and uses the first condition in the list.

I restart Thunderbird and try to send. It uses the first condition in the list.

I eliminated all SMTP servers in the list but the one I want, and it works.

What escapes me, that I have observed this problem on all my systems for a long time?

    Kind regards

    Carl

your lack of anything that account having a SMTP server associated with them, which, if your 'in' an account more wrinkles 'default '.

Right click on a folder in account, and then select settings.
Click on the account name in the settings and on the right is a drop down list and the value 'default' smtp for this account.

  • I can't send mail to one of the two accounts of e-mail with the outgoing server.

Recently, I was unable to send an email to one of the two accounts which are the two aol. One of them is netscape. They both use the same outgoing server 'smpt.aol.com' I've tried the suggestion to remove the password on behalf of netscape (the one I can't send). Now I get a 5.7.1 sender address rejected. I'm sure this is a settings problem and probably a dealing with passwords, but I just can't solve. Help!

I checked both accounts and servers as you suggest. The first time he asked me, he said that have been rejected. When I pressed try again, it has been accepted, and now everything seems to work fine. Thanks a lot to you two. I really appreciate it.

  • Error 0x800ccc0f - Outlook Mail problem code outgoing smtp

I ran the "Tools" menu to set up my "Yahoo" more e-mail with Outlook 2003 account. I can receive emails, but I can't send email. In the outgoing mail SMTP field, I entered the number '465' or '587' as recommended, without modification. "I tried the 'Test Message' all over the place, but I get the error code '0x800ccc0f' every time, which indicates that I need to check my"email address"field

I have re typed my email address in this area a number of times now, without my message out test. As I said, I can receive, but I can not send. Can someone give me a working solution? I have already considered the Solution MS Center for troubleshooting, and I have printed many solutions "step by step" (all essentially the same, I've tried) is there a known 'problem' I have to go around in this regard?

I need someone answer warned familiar. Thank you.

  • Server outgoing apple ID address does not

I can not send (but can receive) mail to my address ID on my Macbook Pro. It; s a pain because I have to keep switching servers when I try to send. I can paste it into another server to stop it, but why can't the address has its own mac for outgoing mail server? He has one for incoming. I think that it started after I upgraded to El Capitan but am not sure.

    Hey studiowriting,

If I understand correctly, you have difficulties, sending mail from the Mail application in Mac OS.  Looks like you have changed servers in order to send.  I recommend you to read this article, it may be able to help solve the problem.

  • TB c. 24.0: changed ISP. ~ new email in the settings of the server & Server outgoing & all address books and Contacts; TB still shows the old email ID for Fwd & Rply

TB c. 24.0, Win 7 Pro. Change of ISP. I use Outlook 2007; woman uses TB, same box. TB change username & email address in the settings of the server & outgoing server & default value. E-mail address changed in all address books and Contact lists. Now the TB still shows the old Correo electronico in < from > when reply or forward. It's confusing beneficiaries, who have sent their responses on a now non-existent account offshore. Check the Contacts Windows - empty. Check my Outlook 2007 - all Contacts changed appropriately. How do I kill this old TB e-mail address when it is not yet listed more - except when we try to reply or forward?

Thank you! I don't remember the old data (ports, password, etc.) to re-create the old account to my wife several months ago and with a different ISP - I had written all this down, but it was destroyed in a fire at home - but you put me on the right track. I created a new account (sub?) via file > new > account existing with new information, verified mail he was working and then deleted the new subaccount. Now that works. Duh.
