my monitor keeps jumping around her sparkles

my old monitor just stop working and I got another dell monitor and now it flickers and jumps around, is something wrong with my hard drive or what

Hello

1. What is the model of the monitor?

It may be a few causes for the flashing screen:

(a) check that the cables are properly connected to the monitor.
(b) check the display settings on the computer.
(c) check the resolution of the screen.
(d) drivers for display adapter must be updated.

Flicker can be a problem on CRT monitors. LCD monitors (also called flat screens) do not create flicker.

Please follow the steps below.

Method 1:

Follow the steps mentioned in the links below.

Flicker of the correct monitor (refresh rate)

Since the upgrade from Vista to Windows7, I got a problem when you play Microsoft games. The icon that lays in the status bar keeps jumping to the left and flashing is seen with her. It seems that the game wants to minimize what he has done many times. I don't know how to stop this as this never happened in vista. I have updated all drivers for my software, including the graphics card. Can someone help me with what I or my little girl can't use the application of games.

    Hello

    1. the problem occurs only with the Microsoft games?

    2. did you of recent changes made to your computer before the problem?

    3. are you referring to the Explorer of games that are pre-installed in Windows 7 or Microsoft games that require intense graphics?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

Try pinning to the taskbar and check if the icons keep jumping around.

    Step 2:

Make the SFC scan on your computer to check if the problem persists. This is done to repair or recover any corrupt or missing system files.

  • T430S keyboard keeps 'jump' when entering?

I have a T430s and I like it so far, except a negative thing is that it keeps 'jump' around each time I type. During typing, at random times that he'll jump whenever the cursor is placed at the time, often in the middle of a word I had already typed previously. (He did 4 times while typing this message) Obviously, this makes very annoying to have to repeat a word or phrase over and over again. I certainly don't type very fast and try to be careful with my hand placement, but like a normal adult male size, is possible that the new keyboard Chiclet makes it easier to my fingers or palm to inadvertently move or tap on the touchpad that is causing this problem? Or is it a software defect?

It's my second Thinkpad and I've never had this problem before. Please advise! Thank you.

    Hello @Blackcow2 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that the cursor is jumping all over your ENVY TouchSmart m6-k015dx Sleekbook.

If this problem just started, I'd say a system restore to before the show began. This will cancel the changes to the system, uninstall the Windows updates and uninstall any software recently installed after the date of restoration. Example: If you have installed AVG anti-virus on 12 September, do a restore before allowing you to uninstall the software. A restore for the 13th does not remove the software. The system restore does not delete your personal files.

If it does not try to install the latest drivers for your touchpad here: Synaptics TouchPad Driver.

Finally try to go through the following document for troubleshooting of a touchpad in Windows 8: use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad (Windows 8).

After trying the suggestions above I would like to know if the problem is resolved or if you have any other questions.

    1. Disable the touchpad and mouse, like all devices keyboard-inserted (pointer stick and buttons.)  Maybe one of these methods work for you?

    2. Connect a USB mouse.
    3. Use USB mouse exclusively for a day or two...
    4. Problems still?

Most of the time this problem is easily explained and tested by something like the above.  A replacement test must cover the touchpad with something thick enough to prevent it being used as you type.  It takes nothing to activate these keys to touch and some people are more likely to do so (as others are actually less likely to do so).  I haven't looked into why - but given their operation, it might have to do with static electricity and tastes.

You'd be surprised how many times this is neglected.  I know you want to be something simple like the one you've apparently spent much too much money so he can be something that ridiculously simplistic - but...  Try it.  You have nothing to loose (certainly less money you already have)?

I have an Asus laptop and everything by typing the cursor tends to jump around so that I constantly have to correct words, place the cursor at the end of the sentence, etc.  Question is, how do eliminate you this problem?

  • the mouse keeps jumping to the right.

    Separated from this thread.

I use a Surface of 3. Windows 8 and now the mouse keeps jumping to the right. It's terrible and I can't work again. Can someone from Microsoft troubleshoot?

    Concerning

    George

    Hi George,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of community of Microsoft.

If your mouse cursor is jumping or jumping around the screen of your laptop, the first thing you can do is wipe the touchpad with a wet washcloth. If you use a laptop computer external mouse, you'll want to make sure to clean that, as well.

A laptop external mouse with a rolling ball will have to be cleaned regularly to aid of peroxide or rubbing alcohol, rub the ball down with a wet washcloth later and then let it dry. Same laptop external optical mouse should be cleaned from time to time, but not nearly as often. Simply wiping under your optical mouse with a wet washcloth will suffice to clean that up, but you want to make sure that any visible dirt is removed.

Method 1: Adjust your mouse settings: repeatedly jumping mouse cursor can be fixed easily by changing the settings of the mouse on your computer.

    1. Press the Windows key + X, go to the control panel in your laptop and click the "Mouse";

    2. You can change various settings, including sensitivity and speed of your touchpad and external mouse speed.

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: update your drivers: another good idea when you are troubleshooting a jump or jump the cursor of the mouse is to make sure that your mouse drivers are up-to-date. To do this, go to the site Web of the manufacturer of your mouse and search for most recent and updated drivers and install them on your computer surface.

    Download and install the drivers

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/all-drivers

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 3: Windows 8 and later operating systems come with a built-in option to prevent the cursor move accidentally while typing. You can find this option in the settings of your laptop (Metro-Panel).

    1. open Bar of charms by moving your mouse cursor to the top-right corner or bottom right of the screen, then click on the settings option.

2 then click on the 'change PC settings' option given below.

3 it will open the settings of PC or Panel of subway page. Now in "PC and peripherals-> mouse and touchpad.

4 now you just need to change the value of the option "to help prevent the cursor to move accidentally while you type, change the delay before clicks work." First change its value to "No. delay (always enabled). If she does not work for you, try changing its value to 'delay'.

Permanently disable the problem of boring cursor jump!

I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.

  • The program monitor keeps going black in first Pro CC

    PC - first Pro CC - AMD Fire Pro (13.101 - 130604 a - 158071E - ATI)

I'm working on a project and the program monitor keeps going black in first Pro CC while I'm working on the script. I got like 28 GB of memory granted to the program and update the latest version of the driver for my graphics card. No idea why this continues to happen, but the only way I can get around it is to reboot. When I go to close the program hangs and I have to stop it in system preferences.

Under a crazy period if you can help? Thank you

    Hi Jonathan,.

We have not seen a response from you because you have created this thread. Please let us know if you have solved the problem completely. For others on this thread, a few things were useful to solve the problem of 'black screen '.

    1. If your computer is underpowered and outdated (especially your CPU and GPU), he will expose the problem of 'black screen '. Consider upgrading your components or by switching to a newer computer.
    2. If your computer is newer and has components that are well within spec (core i7, 2 + GB VRAM for your GPU, etc) and you get the problem of 'black screen', it is likely to do with your GPU drivers or you have two GPUS and the Control Panel has the GPU badly activated for high quality graphics features. Control Panel for your GPU is probably pointing to the GPU to lower power of two.
      • Note that even if you have a considerably amplified GPU, it may be an old one that does not support drivers for a new version of OS X or Windows
    3. The GPU is problematic, in general. Choose file > project settings > general and set the converter to Mercury Playback Engine Software only
    4. Avoid the update to OS X 10.11

    Other workaround solutions include:

    1. Open the reference monitor: window > reference monitor
    2. Turn off the track (eyeball) power off, then on again. (Note: this may take a few tries)
    3. If you have already updated to OS X 10.11, OS X update to the current version
    4. Restore previous versions of video drivers video drivers
    5. Rolling back to a previous operating system
    6. Restoration of an earlier version of Premiere Pro

I will mark this message as the correct answer and will add that other solutions users can have about it. Send me a PM if you think that your solution should be listed.

    Thank you
    Kevin
