  • IRISPen error message: the pen scanner is not connected [0x0A16]

I can't install a Mini T4 Irispen imaging device used with the software IRISPen Express 5.5 on my PC (Windows XP, SP3).   First commissioning of the software is supposed to allow the user to calibrate the pen; no such window.  Because it doesn't, the Guide advises by clicking the Options tab and checking calibrate.  That did not work either - the calibration option is unclickable (faded text).  By clicking on the Scan Test followed Calibrate displays the error message that appears in the title of this application.  The strange thing is that Device Manager indicates that the pen is working properly and that it is enabled.  I tried updating the driver (currently version 1.0.4.2 IRIS dated 2/262007) via the Web, but discovered that no update is available.  Any ideas on how to get the pen work?

    Notes:
    1. the pen is NOT defective; It worked about a year with a previous PC (that I have) and has been used sparingly.
    2. the pen is plugged directly into a USB port of the computer (instead of just a hub or docking station).
    3. by IRIS support Council, the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" (under the USB Root Hub real estate power management tab) is turned off for all my PC root hubs.

I googled a bit for this error message and it seems that the error would have apparently due to HARD drive failure.

  • Received an Error Message using the Widget featured in publication of news about the locations are too large to rasterize.  Cannot preview page.

I get an Error Message when previewing a page that contains the Widget for Composition of new functionality.  The Message says that the locations are too large to rasterize and I need to make it smaller in size.  I tried all this burt, nothing worked.

This error occurs generally if/when there is a block of text high who happens to use a system font (and so must be output as an image). If that is the question, go to a Web font (always the first choice when you select a font to use on the web) or a 'web safe' font for all the text in the frame will prevent the error.

If that doesn't seem to be the issue, we will need more information about the specific page which generates the error.

    Hi Eric,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Forum of the Microsoft community.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. Could you please provide the names of a few websites that is blocked?

    3. How are you sure that these sites are getting blocked by Defender?

According to the description of your problem, it seems that you are unable to open some websites, then, there may be a chance that the site is not compatible with Internet Explorer. So I suggest to open these websites in compatibility view and see if it helps.

    • Open Internet Explorer..

    • Open Web site which is getting blocked.

    • To open the toolbar, press the alt key pressed .

    • Now, click on Tools.

    • Then click on compatibility view settings.

    • You will see the name of the Web site under Add this Web site, to do this, click Add to add this Web site.

    • Close the window and restart your computer.

If the problem persists, try to trust these websites by following the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Open the trusted sites

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Press the Alt key to display the Tools menu.
    3. In the menu, click Tools.
    4. Now, click on Internet Options.
    5. Click on Security tab.
    6. Select Trusted sites.
    7. Click the Sites.

    Step 2:

    Add the trust Web site

    1. Enter the address of the site you want to add.
    2. Click on Add.
    3. Close the open windows of Trusted Sites and Internet Options .
