My mouse stopped working

My computer tells me that the USB is not recognized.  It says "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems" code 43.  My mouse is a retractable laser mouse mini Toshiba, model PA3569 number.  I tried a different mouse and I can't have that one to work either, even if I get no error of her message.  I don't think I have a problem with the USB port because I plugged my printer and that still works.  Please help me.

My wireless mouse stop working... any suggestions? I put a new battery in it and it still does not work?

    Hi Glenna,

Try a classic USB mouse to confirm that this isn't your system programs related to the mouse.

Try using different USB ports in order to check that it is not a problem with that specific port.

Try the mouse wireless on another computer to see if she's working.  That should help tell if the problem is with the mouse or with the computer.

If it came with the software, firmware and drivers, try to reboot to see if that solves the problem.

If she just started recently, try a system restore to a point in time before that the problem started.  If you use Windows 7, see:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, see:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, see:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html.

If the mouse doesn't work no matter what you try (on any computer), then chances are it is defective and must be replaced.  If it works on other computers, but not on this computer, then further efforts will be necessary to try to track down the problem.  If the above does not resolve the problem, after return with the results of what you have tried and what version of Windows are you using and the manufacturer, brand and model number accurate and complete of the wireless mouse.  Then this thread will probably be moved to where it should be (this is for feeback on the forums, the issues not techniques on mouse problems) and the people in this forum will also offer assistance.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

My intelli mouse stopped working and what I get is "(32 Rudll) windows host process has stopped working" what's happened?

    Hi Stevan I am,

    1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?
3 do you mean the computer crashes when you get the error?

    Method 1:

You can perform a scan of the SFC (System File Checker). It lists all the issues and will also retrieve all files if necessary. Follow the steps below to perform a Scan SFC -

    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

You can perform a clean boot and check if you are facing the same question to the clean boot. To perform the clean boot follow step 1 mentioned in the article below, and then try again check in the clean boot state -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If the problem is resolved check which service is causing the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    Suggestions:

  • My usb mouse stopped working

The problem is that my mouse usb (USB Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0), has stopped working, the light is on but the cursor does not move it works when I restart my computer. I tried the other mice and after some time (can be 2 min, 1 h its random) the mouse stops working. I tried to use the other usb ports and it dosnt work, I tried the system restore, but the dates are after the onset of the problem. If anyone can help me, I would be grateful. And sry about my bad English, which is not my language.

The only thing I found that worked the first time, every time (so far) is simply stop and UNPLUG your computer (for laptops... Disconnect the battery as well a few moments).

With the machine on, the motherboard may still have activity.   This is what needs to be reset.

Remove power, reboot and see if the mouse started working as you go through the screen "windows".

Once logged on, it should pass the routine "found new hardware". This will solve the problem of "Unknown USB device" which is related to the mouse works do not.

    It could be useful!

    Hello

If you have a USB mouse wired and keyboard connected to your computer, and that they do not work properly, please check following things:

    1. Firstly, plug the USB into a different port on your computer. If they still do not work...

2 try them on another computer! and if the problem is still there, it would be easy for you to just replace. But is not likely to result in the mouse and the keyboard does not at the same time!

2 and if it's OK with another computer, which would be something wrong with your computer, and it could be from a hardware or software.

Just see how it is done up to now.

  • Equium A100-549 - mouse stopped working

    Hello

I had my laptop for about 6 months now and just today, he seems to have developed a strange problem.

I use my laptop to play World of Warcraft, while playing the mouse just stopped working. When checking the LED in mice it was out completely. thinking it was just the mouse that I changed it for a spare part which worked for about 5 minutes then ceased work exactly the same way.

Naturally, I restarted the PC to see if that solves the problem. Nope, even still with 2 mice and a third new.

I noticed that the temperature of the laptop was one of 63 degrees c. and when the laptop computer is minus 59 degrees C the mouse works fine.

I checked that the fan under the laptop is always moving to cool the laptop.

My question really is do you think that there is a problem with the laptop to achieve these temperatures or if someone could offer advice as to why this is happening.

    Hello

I really can't imagine that the functionality of a mouse has something to do with CPU or HARD drive temperature. This occurs if the mouse is connected on all four USB ports?

    Hi JimBrowne,

1 update you tried to install?

You can check the updates that are installed recently.

    a. Click Start, click all programs and then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    b. on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site, click on view update history. A window opens that displays the updates that have been installed or that have failed to install on the computer.

You can try to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before you have been affected by the problem or the update has been installed and check.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

I reinstall XP and I get a dialog box for my Audio Driver, but my mouse and keyboard stop working so I can't click the boxes to continue the installation? any ideas?

    Brook

How do you reinstall your system?  You boot from a DVD or you press a key at the beginning of the boot sequence that triggers an install from a recovery partition?  If you use a recovery partition, maybe this partition is corrupted as well (disk crash?).  In this case, drag the backup DVD that you did when you got your machine and try to start those.  Usually a part of a resettlement total of causes Windows reformatting the hard drive. If get you there, choose the full format, not the "quick" format

If you think you may have hardware problems, you can try to use another machine to create Linux Livecd such as Knoppix orUbuntu , and boot from that (use the 'Try Me' mode if Ubuntu).  If you have hardware problems, then the start of these CDs would probably fail as well.

  • PS/2 mouse stops working on Vista home Premium.

OK, so I bought a computer, an HP with Vista Home Premium, and (despite all the horror stories, I got friends who use Vista) it worked like a charm. Things were a lot until one evening when my mouse (a three buttons not optical with scroll) has stopped working. It was as if he was not yet connected. I rebooted the computer and the mouse worked fine for a minute or two, then it dies again. I tried to check my computer to find errors and he found, and I have never recived any other error that the fact that I have automatic updates turned off, because I'm on the internet by satellite and I am limited to a certain amount of bandwidth. But back to my problem: I tried a USB mouse and it worked, but it made me even more problems. You see, I have set up wireless network, and I use a wireless USB adapter. However, when I started using the USB mouse, it has messed up my network connection. The computer wouldn't connect to the network, even if I wasgiving it the password correct and everything. I tried another card, and same problem, it always says that the password is wrong, and it would not attempt to open a session on the network, comes immediately coming with the error message. Well, after some time of dinking autour with her, I did finally find the mouse by lightning to work. However, now it is down again. I'm sick and tired of having to borrow the mouse USB of my friend, WTF I do? And please don't tell me to buy something, because I'm here to solve a problem, for not giving Microsoft (or someone else) more of my hard earned money.

    Thank you for your message.

You may want to refrain from downloading pirated software.

Any number of bad things can happen to this activity.

If it does not work on other computers, but not yours, I think you're right about the driver.

You can also try a different PS/2 mouse into this port on your computer to see if it is a failure.
