Well, I have a win xp Service Pack 2 on my pc but it restarts every 2 hours... I checked the disk hard he has no problem... I have not installed an anti virus either or my pc has had the virus pls can you help me...

Hi siwanlimbu,

·         You receive an error?

·         This occurs during execution of any specific task?

Method 1: Since you do not have any antivirus installed, first of all I suggest you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and see if it there are problems of virus. Check out the following link to do the same thing.

Microsoft Safety Scanner - free online tool for PC health and safety

You can download and install Microsoft Security Essentials which should help protect your computer.

Method 2: You can check the event viewer to find the cause of the problem.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Restart the computer after 2 hours

Well, I have a problem. afer start my computer, I have EXACTLY 2 hours before it restarts. I dot know if someone messed with the settings. So if they did is anyway to fix this?

A clean boot will not help you in this case. The people who fixed your computer set up a 'new' version of Windows - the Windows 7 Release Candidate.  This product has been made available by Microsoft, but it is not the product that is now on the shelves of shops.  Unless you installed it yourself, the release candidate should never found its place on your system.  People who 'fixed' your computer did you a disservice.  You may be able to communicate with them and demand that they install the final version out of Windows 7 on your computer free of charge for you (although, honestly, I would have a hard time trusting them to do anything).  Or you may be able to contact something like the report and the Better Business Bureau your experience with people staring at your computer, if they are indeed a company or similar.

Ultimately, how get rid of restart every 2 hours, with what are probably the best results, will be to reinstall an operating system, you have a right to license.  You could buy Windows 7, or you can reinstall the operating system Windows Vista Home Basic which seems to have been the operating system came with the computer when you bought it.

  • iMac restarts after sleep

Problems lately with my iMac 27 "5 K. After putting to sleep, it is restarts after about 2 hours.  If I wake up it before that date, it is usually very good. But after 2 hours, it restarts. Sometimes, I find it just be stopped. Most of the time when it restarts itself, it crashes with this gray bar filled about 80% progress.  I have reset the PRAM and EMS, checked all the settings in power management (not set to restart after power failure for example).

Another problem I 'bypassed' which may or may not be related (I'm including in case it is related) is that on El Capitan, my magic trackpad would randomly wake the iMac.  I had to disable the option to allow devices BT wake up the Mac. When I upgraded to Sierra, the iMac still wake up randomly due to an event of BT. After a lot of trial and error, activate the option "allow bluetooth to computer devices" back prevented the wake-ups at random and let me wake up the computer again deliberately with the trackpad.  Very strange.

In any case, I'm usually pretty ingenious to resolve this sort of thing myself, but the Console to Sierra news is terrible. Or maybe it's the system logs that are terrible, because I can't find anything about the causes of previous judgment that might provide a clue as to what is happening here.

So, any advice on how to solve the problem or at least to determine the causes of the previous stop would be greatly appreciated!

I tried to reinstall windows xp and change the ram, but still the same problem.

    Hello

How long have you used the laptop?
Eventually the temperature inside the laptop could be responsible for these issues of freezing. A similar problem occurred on my laptop. He frisottés due to overheating.
I just cleaned the fans and cooling grids modules with the vacuum cleaner and the problem disappeared.

I think you should also check the cooling modules and try to clean it carefully.

Two days ago, restarted my computer, which worked very well for a few hours, (& a few years) suddenly automatically.   He then ran fine for about 4 hours when it restarts again.   He has now made that ~ 20 times, some time to restart after 5 minutes.   It also does if I connect on behalf of my wife, or if I boot in safe mode and log on as an administrator.   As much as I know I have no virus problem, but I can't be sure that it didn't stay on long enuf to run my antivirus program to the end.   Malwarebytes and Superantispyware both showed no problems two days ago, but now they also will not work I tried to backdate the system (System Restore) to last week, but failed, perhaps because I removed an old Norton SystemWorks program two days ago, when I got hurt, because I thought that maybe that's the problem.

    Help!

    Generally?  N °

Of course - you may lose files with this question - so everything is possible.  ;-)

That's why everyone who works with computers always harps on 'backups backups backups'--> after all, you have the opportunity to go back and get something that has been lost destructively in other aspects of life again to the * exact * same State?

Service Pack 3 (SP3) was released more than three years ago: April 21, 2008.  Support for Windows XP without SP3 ended July 13, 2010.  If you download the SP3 installed, you will get some other updates that you really need - maybe 90 + of them.

It's probably best you cleaning the computer some before attempting an installation of service pack 3.  Time - this will take, but in the end, you should end up with a much more stable and secure system - faster than ever possible.

In the order shown, do not jump...

First of all - download, install, operate and put to update and then run a full scan of the system with the following two (one at a time, reboot in-between):

After you perform a full scan with one then the other and remove anything they have all two are completely, you can uninstall these products, if you wish.  This initiative will allow to check there is no malware floating around your system which could cause problems.  If you ask - no, Norton probably does not protect you from what these applications can find.

Download and run the MSRT tool manually:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx
(Ignore the details and download the tool to download and save to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

Download/install the latest program Windows installation (for your operating system):
    (Windows XP 32-bit: WindowsXP-KB942288-v3 - x 86 .exe )
(Download and save it to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

    and...

Download the latest version of Windows Update (x 86) agent here:
    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=91237
... and save it to the root of your C:\ drive. After you register on the root of the C:\ drive, follow these steps:

Close all Internet Explorer Windows and other applications.

    AutoScan--> RUN and type:
    %SystemDrive%\windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe /WUFORCE
    --> Click OK.

(If asked, select 'Run'). --> Click on NEXT--> select 'I agree' and click NEXT--> where he completed the installation, click "Finish"...

    Reset.

Now reset your Windows with this FixIt components update (you will be * not * do the aggressive version):
How to reset the Windows Update components?

    Reset.

    CHKDSK
How to scan your disks for errors* will take time and a reboot.

    Defragment
How to defragment your hard drives* will take time

    Reset.

Download Windows XP SP3 and save it to your desktop.

Double-click on the downloaded file and follow the prompts to get SP3 installed.

Your question may or may not be resolved after all that cleaning - such that it could even be hardware related.  Assuming that it is a desktop computer, when was the last time you picked up the machine off, bought a few cans of compressed air and opens the case and the breath in the dust?

  • call after 1 hour reset time

Ive tried most of the things affecting him the right and internet time ive checked if time was running out it worked but after 1 hour it resets back I don't know why can anyone please help me its really annoying D:

    Hi cloudy,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. The issue has started happening recently?
    2. Have what troubleshooting measures you tried so far?
    3. What is the setting of the time that it resets?

The question could arise if the system is misconfigured in the BIOS time settings or Windows time service is defective. In order to diagnose the problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Restart the "Windows Time" service and see if it helps.

    (a) press the Windows key + R.

    (b) type services.msc in the Run dialog box and click OK.

    (c) set the startup type to Automatic.

    (d) if the service is already started, the restart service.

Reset the clock and time zone settings. Check if the problem persists.

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

Boot to the BIOS settings and make the necessary changes in order to correct the time settings. Contact your computer manufacturer for assistance. Reboot the system after correcting settings and check if the number is reproduced.

Important: Change BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • CTRL stuck after 1 hour

    Hello

I have a problem - I bought the E335 about two weeks ago, but when I do my stuff, after one hour the CTRL key is stuck (not physically, just system shows that the CTRL key is pressed). This is really boring because of it I can't get concrete results. Note: When I restart the laptop everything is ok, but only for a while and CTRL is stuck again.

    Thanks for the reply
