Reformatting and reinstalling Windows because you meet one
problem is almost always a very bad thing to do.
With a minimum of care, it should never be necessary to reinstall
Windows (XP or any other version). I ran Windows 3.0, 3.1, WFWG
3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista,.
and now Windows 7, each for the period of time before the next release
came out, and each on two or more machines here. I never reinstalled
None of them, and I've never had anything more than an occasional
minor problem.
I am convinced that this erroneous notion comes from the technique
support people in most of the major OEMs. Their solution to almost
no problem, they do not know quickly the answer to is "reformat and.
replace. "This is the ideal solution for them. It gets down you the
Phone quickly, it almost always works, and it does not require a
make a real troubleshooting (a skill that most of them are obviously not
own in any great degree).

But it leaves you with all the work and all the problems. You have to
restore all backups of your data, you need to reinstall all your
programs, you must reinstall all Windows and application
updates, you must locate and install all the drivers needed to
your system, you must recustomize Windows and all your applications to work
the way you are comfortable with.

In addition to all these things being long and painful, you can
have trouble with some of them: you will find all your CDs application?
You will find all the necessary installation codes? Do you have any data
backups to restore? Do you remember yet all customizations and
tweaks can be installed to make everything work the way that you
as? Sometimes there are problems that are so difficult to solve
that Windows has to be reinstalled properly. But they are few and far
between the two; resettlement should not be a substitute to the
Troubleshooting; It should be a last resort, to be made only after all
troubleshooting by qualified person other attempts have failed.
And perhaps most important: If you reformat and reinstall without
Discover what caused your problem, you will likely repeat the
behavior that caused and quickly find you exactly backward in the
same situation.

That last paragraph above apply in your case.

Please suggest what to do. Run all the anti virus help? If so, please send url to download.

Do you run any anti-virus program? And no anti-spyware programs be?
It is certainly the reason for your problems. You are infected
by malicious software.

For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you're ready
to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (are not
run several) of the following three:

Avira AntiVir
Avast
Microsoft Security Essentials

You also need anti-spyware software. I recommend that you download and
(both freeware) to install MalwareBytes AntiMalware and
SuperAntiSpyware.

The problem: about two months ago, I noticed the fan turns very hard and also the laptop gets very hot. Now it runs so hot the laptop shuts down completely. The heat being driven out of the laptop is so hot! burn your my infact.

Anyone has any advice they could offer me.

    Hi James

You wrote that you have the laptop less than a year, so my question is this is already cleaned it?
The laptop needs to be cleaned every 3-4 months and I do this every 3 months. Whenever I do I m wondering how much dust out and after this procedure the portable is a lot cooler.

  • Bridge is very slow on iMac with El Capitan, using 75% less than the 32 GB of RAM.

I have a new iMac 27 inch Retina 5 K (end of 2015) 3.2 GHz with 32 GB of RAM and bridge is now used in the region of 20-25 GB + of it on a regular basis. My previous iMac 24 inch (end of 2009), with 'only' 8 GB of RAM, ran faster and the RAM usage was less than 45%. While Bridge works very slowly - much slower than my old iMac - and I can't work out why.

I compacted and emptied the cache, reduced the number of images in each folder and reduced the size of the preview, but nothing seems to make any difference. I forgot something or are my expectations too high? The bridge is my main tool with Camera RAW/Photoshop before importing all the files in Lightroom and speed reduction is initially serious workflow problems.

  • X 230 HARD disk failed after less than 6 months...

    Hello

I have a laptop computer X 230 and I run the Diagnostics and health care system and it seems that the HARD drive has no 2 test here: 'targeted reading test' and 'SMART short self-test.

The same program said my warranty expires in 240 days, but I don't know that I bought the cheaper coverage option, so I don't know exactly, what is covered by the present.

Can you please give me some advice on how I should contact Lenovo to replace my HARD drive if it is covered by the warranty?

    Thank you

    Razvan

AFAIK all ThinkPads are covered by at least 1 year warranty. The HARD drive is covered by this warranty, so you should be able to get it replaced.

I contact Lenovo support and provide them with the results of the health care system and Diagnostics. This should be sufficient to establish that the HARD drive has failed.

I hope that you have already created a recovery media and/or have recent backups of the data on your HARD drive. Lenovo will send you a replacement HARD drive, but you will be responsible for the restoration of Windows and your data on it.

  • Satellite P300D - very hard knocks when I start a game

My computer fan is blowing very hard when I start a game, it happens also when I watch a movie. I thought it was normally but yesterday when I was playing a game the screen went black and the fan made a strange noize. I'm running a Dual-core AMD Turion X 2 with an ATI Radeon HD 3650 card. I cleaned my fan more than those and updated all my drivers. The games don't require high performance.

Anyone know what could be the reason for this problem and who knows maybe a solution?

    Thanks in advance

    Hey Buddy,

First of all I have to say it s normal absolutley that this fan works on the highest level if you start a game or which videos to high resolution as processor and graphics card performance is required. So don't worry about it, it of normal.

Regarding your problem, that the screen went black it could be a problem with the cooling fan. How did you clean the notebook exactly?
Normally this can be done with a jet of compressed air as described here:

  • Client performance is very slow

On the part of the Oracle database and E-Business applications track, I installed the PA for the Oracle database and the extension of the PA of E - Biz.

The location of the servers the PA Middleware and collector is in WE (Boston) , while the PA Client is installed on the local machines in India (New Delhi).

The PA Client performance is very slow while we move from one screen to another.

I know that it is clearly the bottleneck of bandwidth bandwidth/latency network, always looking for suggestions to mitigate.

I think that the network latency is your problem here. The two recommendations that I have are:

    (1) use the web interface in the UI Foglight. This should perform better especially if you use a local FglAM to the collector and middleware.

    (2) use a terminal server server or virtual office in Boston to install thick client PA. This will give you the best user interface response times.

  • Characters not visible (caused by hitting the bar space or TAB in PL/SQL developer tool) causing slow running query? and database with low performance?

    Hi all

I need your help to get this issue resolved its urgent and I'm not able to get to the conclusion. Here is my scenario, I'm getting slow query runs because of some non-visible characters that are copied with the application of the PL/SQL developer tool. Please find below attached screenshot: Oracle_Issue

    Oracle_Isssue.png

Note: This non-visible characters are caused when we write the query then us hit the SPACEBAR or press TAB PL/SQL developer tool

I use the developer tool PL/SQL to write or test the query. Now I take this request copy paste in my application of the company (who takes this query connects to Oracle or any source of data base, catch data and produce PDF reports for customers).

Now, my client is the Oracle user when I write and you run this query by the PL/SQL Developer, it works fine, but when I paste in my Inbox feature request (reporting system) and run it, it runs slower and jams to the customer database. Now after a little research I found that when I copy the query directly from PL/SQL developer at my request, he copy some characters not visible (introduced when we press SPACE or TAB in PL/SQL developer tool when writing query) with the request, then I copy this query again to my box of the application Notepad and delete these non-visible characters. Now, after removing the non-visible characters again once I copy backup question in my application and run the query, it works normally. Please find below attached screenshot: Oracle_Issue 2

    Oracle_Isssue_2.png

So I think that the cause of slow performance is due to some INVISIBLE CHARACTERS present in the query.

My application uses SQL server 2008-2012 at the backend to store data from different sources.

    Character set used: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

To write and test queries: PL/SQL developer tool

My Client use Oracle 11 g

Character set used: Normal character: NLS_CHARACTER: AL16UTF16

    National Characeter: NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTER: WE8WIN1521

I just wanted to know the blocking process to the top of the database and the characters not visible how affecting slow running query of query database.

Please let me know if I'm missing something or you need more information on this issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    HP

    Simple answer. No.

Spaces and line breaks do not change the execution plan created. Does not plan to run slower or faster.

  • After importing bulk - query performance initially very badly but ok next day?

    Hello

We noted two times so far, that after the creation of a new schema and data on the spatial tables queries import block are very slow.
(We will not check the non-space tables however). After you import the data, indexes and statistics are created.
All the data is quite low (less than features 250'000 spread over several tables). This slowdown was evident hours after creating indexes and statistics. But after returning back to the work of the performance of the queries next day was good - as originally planned. No one does something in the meantime. Database is 11 GR 2.

I vaguely remember I read that statistical etc. could not be used immediately after the creation/update but I didn't know there are so many kick. Is there an explanation of the behavior? It isn't really a problem for us, but I would like to know why this happens,

    Thank you, Rob

    Rob,

Note that since 10g there is an automated collection of statistics DBMS_STATS work that takes place during the night. It seems that this creates appropriate statistics that result in a plan of execution. Take a look in Enterprise Manager to see the details of this work.

You mentioned that collect you statistics after execution of your loading mass - I guess the problem is that you are not with the same characteristics as night work. Can you put the command you run to collect the statistics after bulk loading?
