  As full a long time that you have made a backup of your data, you can use this procedure to reset your BB to the default settings (at least for the currently installed operating system, that is).

• BlackBerry Z10 can I create a Blackberry ID using the same email address, but with a different password?

  I use 2 phones and I am ready to create a new blackberry on the 2nd ID, but it requires an email address and I don't have that one email address that I use for everything. I want to know if it is possible to create a new BBID with the same e-mail address but different password. The main thing is I want both phones to be active and fully functional, but I don't have a single address email and I prefer not to create another email address, because I love all of my emails in one place rather then having 2 email addresses. I don't want any phone be disabled. I do not fear one of the BBM is turned off, as long as at least one works. Both phones are a Blackberry Curve 9320 and a Blackberry z10, which is one waiting to be activated.

  No this is not possible, the e-mail address you used your BBID, is associated with the device that you use it on. It is also the BBID username. And cannot be used on another device, no matter that there is a different password.

  I suggest that you create a new e-mail account, just for the sole purpose of using it as a BBID.

  Given what you describe, I recommend the very vigorous autoloader method to install an OS on your BB device. Something has gone wrong with the automatic method you used, and something more energetic (though not official) is required.

• BlackBerry smartphones can not download applications

  Hello, I recently brought the new 9320. I have the card memory base San Disk that come with the Blackberry. Also, as soon as I put the phone I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Support software. The desktop software and storage on the phone at the same time options I have a 14.4 MB remaining on the phone storage and 1.4 GB left on my memory card. When I try to download apps on the phone via my WiFi it is said that there is not enough remaining space. I guess that the phone will only attempt to download the application in the device memory. Is it possible that I can get the phone to automatically download the application directly on my memory card? Or is there another problem that prevents me download apps?

  There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

  Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (the BONE itself more certain applications storage, overhead and such). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

  The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

  Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

  On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

  • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

  Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

  In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

  Thus, issues of the app, it is a question of AppMemory... Please see the information above in order to maximize the amount of free AppMemory on your BB. If your particular model of BB has a limited amount of total AppMemory, then you must understand the mixture of 'must have' for you and then give priority to your "optional elements" in order to charge as much as you can, sacrifice these things of lower priority.

  Specifically, some sites may give you the option to attach or embed an image directly from the camera instead of going through a folder of pictures already taken. In order to support this feature, Firefox requires permissions to access the camera. However, according to this article, Firefox will ask your permission before leaving the site to use the camera. I don't think I have ever seen this in action.

• BlackBerry Z10 can BES5 "BOLD" BBID (BBM) be reconfigured to use the Z10 BIS?

  As far as I can tell, it's a delicate issue...

  I used a Bold 9900 for work, managed by our BES5 servers.  Also used the phone for personal use, including BBM contacts.  I need is no longer to use the 9900 for work so decided to get a Z10 for personal use.

  Company does not have BES10 so I took a conscious decision to get a personal phone that wouldn't be synchronized with desktop systems.

  I had originally used the migration tools Office set up my personal Z10 with the contacts, calendar, etc. of my company 9900.  Everything transferred very well, with the exception of BBM, as it took my BB ID, which is managed by the company BES5 server to connect my device ID 9900's at my work email address.

  I worked my departmental support of BES, but I am not convinced that they are able to get my BB ID extracted their BES server.  Y at - it none confirmed so that I can get my existing (old 9900) BBM (BB ID) setup on my Z10, or what I have to wipe completely and start again with a new ID of BB?

  The wisdom of any guru will be immensely appreciated!

  Thanks for the link - it was PART of the solution.

  The other missing piece was weird and may be difficult to explain:

  (2) after the update of my BB ID ID (email address) as suggested above, I made my Z10 was on WiFiand re-tried my BBM configuration.  Via WiFi, installing BBM surveys has been able to connect and complete.

  Apparently the WiFi allows the service to bypass my cellular provider (Rogers).  Without WiFi, the service routes through Rogers - and since my old profile was registered (rightly) as BES managed, he tried to forward the request of my BES company, who would not allow.  With WiFi, my phone is directly connected to the Blackberry, gets his BB ID, and (apparently?) - pushes the update to the Rogers BIS servers.  At least that's what seems to be the case...

  No matter what the actual technical problem, it seems that for me to get my old BBM servers of our company BES5 ID, use the WiFi to complete the migration was critical.

  If you are using a compatible cloud computing service (for example, Outlook.com, GMail, CalDEV/CardDEV), then they can each synchronization, use it as the 'link' between the two. But I don't know any methods other than those... e. g, not via NFC.

  OK, you can check if all BB services running on the Server BES 10 (especially the "Blackberry Enterprise Management Web Service')?

  Also check if you can see what a BES related errors or warnings in the event of the BES10 server log.

  I found a solution... I read this post ( KB29891 ). The cause of the problem is that some providers like bell and rogers do not allow some outgoing smtp mail servers. The work around had to use my mail server of the Web site for incoming mail and my smtp.broadband.rogers.com of rogers for my outgoing smtp server.  I also use this setting on my outlook 2010... It worked.
