  I've had nothing but trouble with my new computer and am more convinced, it's because of Vista.  Every program that I buy, which says compatible with vista doesn't work properly or at all.  The most recent is Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.  It worked 'ok' for a short period and now does not start at all.  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and I get the same message "not responding".  I bought other programs and had to take them because they would not work with vista.  I also have a lot of programs that I can't use because they are not compatible with vista.  When I bought my computer, I asked for XP and learned from Dell that it came only with Vista... What I want to know is can I get a refund for vista so I can get an operating system that works?  Thank you.

  There may be a problem with the operating system.  Programs you cite have no problems on my computer and I have not heard of them being problems on someone elses.

  XP has not been for sale for a few years.  Any refund is Dell.  What edition of Vista do you have?  You can use the recovery software and restore your computer as long as the plant and start over.

  I developed a small application and built in version windows 7 2011.

  When I run this app in Start menu, this application does not properly run in windows 7. but when I installed this app in another pc that has windows xp, it works perfectly.

  For the Sub attached draft, Windows 7 this application generates the file support 'list', when I managed the start menu. But when I run the application where it is built in windows 7, it works too.

  I can not open HP Scan on my Macbook Pro / Mac OS Mavericks 10.9.2.  I have a HP Officejet Pro L7580. Scanning HP program / app just will not open.  I just scan them with my printer, like I did with my other Mac computer that still works on Mountain Lion.

  I would like to reinstall my HP software (HP Scan / to see if that would solve the problem but I can't find the software online.) It's all in your site is the HP-Printer-Driver Update - Patch_v1.0.0, but who has not solved.

  Please let me know if HP has a "HP Scan" for the Mavericks working update for my HP Officejet Pro L7580.

  I have LS30-10s.
  first the laptop screen not lit up even if I saw a pale ghost of the icons etc.;

  Safe mode is just a test environment and the system does not access all recourses of material by using safe mode.
  So, theoretically the issue could be related to a faulty hardware or system problems.

  Run as administrator may be required for some games and programs because they have a permission structure different in Vista in Windows 7 (Windows 7 and Vista are different in how to manage certain permissions).

  I suggest test you installation of the game in the program by clicking on the Setup file by clicking on "Run as administrator".

  This will sometimes solve this kind of situation because it installed the program in a State of high permission.

• The code works in debug mode but crashes when compiling in release mode

  I am facing the following problem. I have code that works well when it is run in debug mode. However, when I compile it in release mode and run the executable file, code freezes and does not work. The code acquires images from a camera of Hamamatsu. In debug mode, I'm able to acquire images permanently. However, in the release version, the code crashes after the acquisition of the first image.

  If you search this forum for "version crash debug" or "release version crash" or other similar expressions, you will find that it is a fairly common question.  Look through the other posts that you find here to see if something applies to you.

  The debug version does a few things like padding variable, then you can sometimes invaded your space variable declared without crushing the next variable.  In the statement, the variables are packed, so if you invaded one, you replace another.  Just a possible difference.

  You can do some things in your exit code to see where things get lost, as (temporarily using printf after several instructions at beginning and end of your loop to try to identify this failure of line of code.)

  Look through other threads for other ideas.

  Hello all and thanks to anyone who responds! I'm pretty clueless when it comes to computers, so I hope it's just something simple.

  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with a Presario F700. The processor is AMD Athlon X 2, processor Dual-Core TK - 55 1.80 GHz. 958 MB RAM and 32 - bit operating System.I don't know if you need this information but better safe than sorry. OK for the problem.

  The computer is supposed to be wireless, but I cannot make it work. When I go to Device Manager in a single Normal boot device shows. It is said: NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet #2. I'm not sure what that means, but he says that this device does not work correctly. I couldn't HP Wireless Assistant to work so I followed some advice that I've seen an uninstalled but that did not help at all. I'm sure that's not my firewall is disabled. And I use Norton Security, but I don't know which is not affecting him either since it was a problem before I installed Norton.

  Also, if I boot mode safe more things highlighted in Device Manager. He wasn't that anything listed in the order of boot on an adapter until recently, and it's at the bottom of the list with an exclamation mark next to it. However, the exclamation point is now gone, but NIC is always at the end of the list. I also ran the check disk thing, and he came back fine. I ran a full scan of the system without any problems but a few tracking cookies. I tried to uninstall in safe mode and start back to normal to leave the computer to reinstall without success. I also used the option reset back to the factory. While time consuming which did not help either.

  If anyone has any ideas as to what I can I would be very happy. I'm hoping to give this computer to my brother as a Christmas gift. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make sure I was as complete as possible to save everyone time. Thanks again. And if I missed any information please let me know and I'll fix it.

  If reset you to factory, it should work.  It is a switch broken (I don't him think) a motherboard problem or probable internal problems with the wireless. Take it to a store because it is a common problem with these computers.

  If you have any type of antivirus, cleaning or ANY other third party maintenance application installed, please find the developers instructions and uninstall. At best, these types of applications are 100% useless and at worst they cause more harm (similar to what you are experiencing) than good.
