My Satellite A300 unexpectedly blocking down

Hello Sir,

My Toshiba Satellite A300 shutting down suddenly while I plugged my AC adapter / CC.
It is not to say any conflict or any other and then restart automatically to Windows loading and then stop. This ongoing process when I plugged my adaptor m.

I checked my laptop not too heat and it doesn't operate by the battery power.
Is there any solution for my laptop? I m using only my computer laptop battery charges while.

Hello

Have you tested different adapters?
It might be possible that the power adapter is faulty and provides an abnormal power to the laptop. This may affect the functionality of the laptop

But it the adapter works properly it could be a hardware problem laptop - like an electrical problem on the motherboard power supply
Don t think it s kind of software problem given that battery mode to work properly.
I think that apart from the power adapter, the motherboard should be verified and I have fear of the faulty motherboard can be costly replacement of m.

    Thank you

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. I imagine that some background processes are active and the HARD disk must be busy then you will see that the game crashes or stutters.

It may be an antivirus application that scans the HARD drive or something similar.
Have you tried to unplug the laptop from the LAN/WLAN, close all the race but not need process/applications and switch to high performance power plan before you start your game?

Please play with all this stuff. I mean that Win7 works better on these books like Vista so I think it must be a software related issue somehow.

  • Satellite P100-478 - blocking down, temperature problem

    Hello world

There is a year and a month, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-478.

    Everything worked fine until now.
Now, I have some problems of temperature.

I tried to play (I know 7300 go are not the best for this), and I checked the temperature with Intel Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT).

    Before playing:
    Core 1 ~ 60
    Core 2 ~ 60
    Temp 33 ACPI thermal zone

    While playing:
    Core 1 ~ 85
    Core 2 ~ 85
    Thermal Zone temp ACPI 33

So I don't know why he died.

I restarted the pc, without delay:
    Core 1 ~ 74
    Core 2 ~ 75
Thermal Zone temp ACPI 70 (what the hell?)

If I play, if I work (programming), even install windows live messenger yesterday results in a disabling...
I restored my computer with the CD in my computer Windows Vista is clear...

Because the security of the computer is over (since 1 month, geez), I changed the radiator composed (hope this is the correct English), but unfortunately this isn't helping.

The temperature of ACPI, from 30 to 70 after the restart thing it's something strange...

    Anyone have any idea?

    Best regards, Dimitri.

Unless you have a software problem (take a look at the Windows process monitor to see if CPU 100% active) it is likely that powder is blocking off the coast of radiators.

I had problems with a Toshiba Satellite 30-135. Fans were running at full speed. Temperature has quickly reached the maximum and the closed laptop. I put the laptop upside down on a table to see the fans and there is powder inside fans, but nothing spectacular. Then I blew my mouth through the gates where the air goes out of the laptop, the copper radiator is behind the gates - * blow air only please *!) : a lot of Red-gray powder came out in a big cloud. To restart the laptop ran silently and never stops again.

Since then, I use a spray of cleaning the dry air from time to time to blow gently through the gates, and I have more problems.

Unfortumately I have not used the mobile me and the user got angry and started the laptop several times during the incident, so that the display being damaged: two weeks after the incident, a vertical white line have signed the death of display.

    So be careful!

  • Satellite A300 power suddenly goes out during the race for hours

    Dear users of the Forum,

I am facing a strange problem in operation.
My laptop Satellite A300 is suddenly down power during the race for hours.
It is auto off not exactly. Not the way windows stop, is rather like strength to off (as when I press on & power button to stop force).

This happens automatically, starting again, the screen saying "windows does not stop properly, start windows normally" is apperanig.

I suspected virus infection, I tried full scan with nod 32, essential microsoft, kaspesky - 1 by 1 (previous uninstall and install the new), but all the antivirus intremediately scan stopped due to this power off.

Watch movie also stopped in the Middle, attempted to convert the movie file format also was arrested several times because of this problem of automatic disconnection.

I tried to run only on the power (remove battery) and got the same result.

can anyone identify the problem? can you please give me the solution?

    smarjit1

    Hello

I put t think it is s virus.
En me it looks like overheating. Eventually the high internal temperature requires the laptop to close. This is done automatically to prevent the equipment from damage
I'm not quite sure what could cause this exactly, but in most cases the dust inside the fans affects cooling performance and lead to a temperature higher than m.

Higher temperatures could affect the RAM modules too, and perhaps that is the reason why some applications don't work properly.

What to say; try to clean the cooling fans using a jet of compressed air and check out how the laptop would proceed

    Hi Vilus

During the long period of use, the cooling modules may be blocked by dust.
This would prevent air from traffic and could lead to a higher temperature.
I have experience with such behavior cell phone because this happened to my two different notebooks from different manufacturers.

The cooling modules couldn t run with the best performance because of the dust and I was forced to use a jet of compressed air that has helped remove a lot of dust and debris.
I blew air through the vents and fans and I was really surprised how much dust was hidden inside the laptop.

In any case, after this procedure accelerated, the temperature went down and laptop didn t stopped automatically.

  • Satellite A300 think button is held down and starts (long)

Hey sorry it's long, but I'd really like some help,

OK, so I was wondering if there is a way to solve this problem...

I was on my Satellite A300 (just over a year) last night playing Left 4 Dead 2 demo using stream network and everything suddenly co-op Online camera Assistant window opens minamising Left 4 Dead 2.

I found it strange because I had closed the sidebar of popup for Camera Wizard at startup so that there would be no popup and do exactly what he did...

Then after be confused I just clicked on Left 4 Dead 2 and thought 'I'll deal with that in a sec... When Left 4 Dead 2 she maximized again, (it took a few moments where there is a black screen and about 1 second of audio loopback), I couldn't play physically, but I could watch the game in a special mode that allows to pause and let HAVE succeed for a while. Also the game in chat window has increased.

I was at the first try just click the button disable control DO but the game wouldn't answer. Then section entered the window of my cat began to fill with ' black so I tried to get rid of them. All I could do was culminating with my mouse, then more ' zaeza them would replace.

After trying for a while and Ctrl + Alt + Del Alt + F4 with no response except for the ' black poor computer must be stretched with Left 4 Dead, I decided open and Stream, Illistratror and the camera open in the background then I pressed the power button (set to stop on my computer) and waited...

Left 4 Dead 2 closed, as camera Assistant, I think... and then it froze little so I just held down the power button (sorry, I know it probably wasn't the best move) and my laptop is off...

Well, when I tried to turn it back on the screen black "Toshiba Leading Innovation" appears along with the small footer explaining what to do F2 and F12. After that, the screen switches to the small blinking text bar thing (sorry I dunno what it's called...) but the bar flashes and stays there for about 4-5 seconds and then blinks and the new, although it seems slightly duller in color) and then only once (from the computer even if the headphones are plugged) and Yes... I need to disable...

Remembering of the ' Melissa I assumed that the computer was not happy that 'u' button was held down at startup so keep in mind that the fron keys are actually removable, I (very carefully) removed the front "u". Everything looked "normal" under... (I compared it to the key 'y') and so he presses a few times and re-places of the façade. On count it... Same thing happened...

I then tried to take out the battery and then put it in to see if this would help... Again, the tone has played... I have unplugged my iPod, took on the CD and removed the memory card to see if it would help... It didn't unfortunately.

So next I tried to turn on the whist of the computer by pressing the 3 keys (I thought it might cancel the 'u' key) key maintained abd "b + n + m". The first time I did this boot manager Windows open instead of the ring. I have Windows Vista so when I tried to continue pressing "enter" nothing happened... Then I turned off the computer and tried again (this time with q + w + e as I thought maybe hold b + m starts Boot Manager). This Windows error recovery time is displayed with the options; Safe mode, Mode safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt Mode and start Windows normally. Yet once Enter would not work... And this is my time so far...

Please help if you can >: I'm afraid if I take on a Japanese person Compute they will wipe everything...

    Thank you

    Rochelle

(again, I'm sorry this is so long but I thought people might wan't details...)

    Hello

You can try to start windows in safe mode by pressing the F8 key and then choose Safe mode.
Then windows should start only using certain necessary processes
If the history is related to the issue of software then you should be able to start safe mode

Do you mean the mouse cursor or the entire screen?

  • Satellite A300: cannot start: blocked by Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility

    {SUMMARY: "Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility" appears every time you start, requesting a non-existent password.} How to get rid of this request? }

This one is a little weird. We have a Tosh Satellite A300-193 mobile (Code manufacturer: PSAJ1E-01000XEN) purchased from July 2008 (via Getech educational scheme). We have (had) Kaspersky Anti-virus on this subject, but since his license has expired (and they didn't really like it), I was going to remove and install Avast.

Kasperky removal instructions involve have their tool "kavremove" who say their instructions must be run in safe mode. So, after downloading the tool, I pressed F8 to boot into safe mode...

... And that's where things went wrong. Instead of typical black screen startup options screen, I got a splash screen at the level type, with a request for password of "Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility. We have never set a password on this computer, and I've never seen this particular screen before. After three bad guess (of course they're wrong!, and it does not matter if I leave the field blank), the unit turns off.

Now when I turn it on, it just goes right to the request for password of Phoenix: I hit F2, F12, F8 or whatever it is. I can't establish why it should do, or how I can possibly bypass it. None of my password guess work (of course).

I googled for hours (literally), closes the thing, I could find were instructions in [a post on the forum USA | http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Windows-Vista-Windows-XP/Satellite-A205-Cannot-Access-BIOS/m-p/123075#M7749]. It was a partial solution: we can start the machine with this procedure (phew!).

Unfortunately, it is not a permanent solution. After EACH stop, at the next start-up presents impossible demand "password." So it comes to pull the battery (again), to the phase of "discharging", battery, turn on and - it boots. Or at least, he has every time so far.

This is going to be extremely painful. Any tips or to tackle the problem of pointers, which would be welcome. I will never see this request for password "Setup Utility".

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think the password loss is the BIOS password.
I m wondering why this password is displayed when starting if you have not set it

However, the point is that the BIOS password can be removed if you n t know this password.
Unknown BIOS password can be removed by a Toshiba authorized service partner.

  • Re: Satellite A300 - 1 5 - unexpected shutdown

I am facing a problem when using my laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 - 1 5. My computer suddenly stops almost every day...

Before that happens, my computer is not responding and I received several messages like: ATI Display driver stopped responding, but was retrieved successfully.

Maybe I caused the problem, because I do not used to use the operating system pre-installed - which was Windows Vista Home edition. Instead, I installed Windows Vista Business x 64.

My graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the ATI site.

When this strange thing happen, I am usually loaded by windows to check for a BIOS update - but any version that I download from the Web from Toshiba site is older than mine - which is 1.6.0.

Any kind of help would be very appreciated and we thank you in advance!

Everything but this is great, I really enjoy working on my Toshiba.

    Hello

I think the reason is the reason why you use the manufacturing display driver. On the ATI site, I can only find drivers desktop for the HD3400 and not for the series of mobility.
On the Toshiba site, I can t find the drivers for Windows Vista 64-bit. :(

The display driver are often causes problems if they are not Toshiba because they don t have a protection against overheating. So it s your risk and peril if you use the Toshiba drivers no.

I think that the only solution is to use the factory settings. This means that you must use the recovery disc and reinstall.

    Welcome them

And I saw the same problem in some topics here, and I have the soluition setps you give, but when I run the installer for VAP get a message 'GetProfString failed '.

    Please help me

To be honest, I think you have misunderstood something. I have Satellite A300 too and I can confirm that after clean install of OS this mute button isn't here for the mute option, but for lighting ON / OFF.

For silent use FN + ESC key combination. Compare also the symbols on the illuminance and ESC key and you will see that they are not the same. On the light button, it is symbol of light and ESC you will see the symbol of speakers.

Toggle the mute option FN + ESC key combination?

I can see on the download page of Toshiba that your model of laptop is fully supported for Win7 and everything you need to do is install all the stuff of Toshiba in order of good facilities.

    My order of facilities is:
    -Win7 Home Premium (new installation)

    -Storage Manager
    -display driver
    -driver sound
    -modem driver

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite A300-20 b and I have a cooling problem. Since I have this laptop I ve been tracking the temperature of the CPU and found out I got the maximum temperature was about 80 c. The strange thing is that the cooler starts only when the CPU reaches this high temperature, if it isn't the cold remains off.

Another weird thing is that once it is not blocking the cooler starts. It stops only if I restart or shut down the computer. Is this normal? Should I worry about something? Thank you very much for your answers.
