    This section would apply in fact to the Windows Live programs, but we'll see what we can do to help out you.

    I recommend to try this first:

    1. disable any antivirus software or security, you have running on your computer. Looking for software to disable that contains a firewall.

    2. click on START
    3. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
    4 type the following and press enter

    Regsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll

    5. then type the following command and press enter

    netsh winsock reset

    6. restart your computer and see what happens.

  • Goes to blue screen, don't stay long enough to get an error code.

    I upgraded to windows vista, then let it off all by installing. Now, it won't turn. It starts and then goes to blue not screen long enough for even a code of error of about 2 seconds, then asks me if I want to restart normally or repair of the launch system. Then runs the diagnostic system repair screen. All the tests were normal except for 'file system test (chkdsk)', it launches the application, but it fails. Windows tells me that it cannot fix the problem. If I need to format the computer very well, I can't since I have all my saved files externally, lossing them is not what worries me. Curious why its happens and how to fix it. Computer is only 11 months old.

    If necessary can you start in Safe Mode - several times F8 tap that you start. Try the last known Configuration.
    If no joy uses these methods to solve problems.

    Look in the Event Viewer to see if something is reported on those.

    When it gets really bad most of the screen will Blanch and freeze. This global problem cut in and out, but is common.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT: I forgot to mention that it is a HP G62 laptop.

  • I upgraded Lightroom today and the new version has given me several permission errors.  I followed the steps to solve the problem of permission and now I get the error code 16 - Please reinstall the product.

    I don't know how to reinstall from scratch.  Did I lose my data?  I backed up my files and catalog with time machine (before errors), but I do not know how to proceed.   Should I just uninstall the product?

    If you had installed the LIghtroom using Time Machine backup application or any other Adobe applications, yes it is best to perform the entire process of removal and reinstallation.

    If its just catalogue, that's fine, you can simply uninstall and reinstall Lightroom.

    Anyhw, if you have not installed the real application using the Time Machine backup, let us know if you tried steps mentioned in the link below?

    The ability to rotate the screen image is a feature of your video card, to help work with instructors who rotate the portrait orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt and an arrow.

    How we split the screen for different horizontal and vertical divisions. I can't use panelSplitter because I need fixed screen and not the division which is movable/sliding. I tried inlineframe, but which fails because you cannot use forms, other trees components... :(

    so I would like to know how to do division without panelSplitter.

    If you set the panelSplitter attribute disabled to true, the delimiter becomes permanent/mobile no.

    This could well be a virus problem. If your step would be to run a full scan of PC online using the following link:

    Then, go to your Control Panel and open "Programs and features" and tell us what version of the Java Application you have.

    If you have a Version that is older, then you must remove the older version of "Programs and features" and install the latest version by visiting here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

    It is normally acceptable to load new versions of Java on top of older versions, but in this case we want to start over with a latest full version.

    Scroll down a bit to the "Download Windows Section" and download/install "Windows 7".

    After download/install this newer version. Close all windows and applications that may be running and "restart" your computer.

    Then click the link once more to return to the download page and select the link that reads "Check Java has been installed properly" If the application downloaded/installed correctly then this test will let know you that Java is working properly.

    Your last step would be to run a malware scan using this link:

    If you do not have access to the Start button:

    1) click computer access with reduced functionality

    (2) a browser will open, type:%windir%\system32 in the address field

    (3) find the cmd.exe file

    (4) make a right click on the cmd.exe and select run as administrator

    (5) type: net start slsvc

    If they were purchased in the box and unregistered, you need to find the number in the box (usually on the sleeve)

  • Installation of FSX does not load and gives me two choices: remove 1 or 2 repair. Whichever one I'm taking, I get an error code 1605

    It does not load on my calculation of FSX Deluxe or gold. a screen asking me to choose to repair the existing files or delete all files.  Whatever it is I want the same message comes back, this software and only repair or delete files when the files have been installed previously, and then I get an error 1605.  I tried the resetsldl.exe command and it say I was seccussful in the license reset, but when I try to install the software, the code 1605 back.  bought another copy and the same thing happens
