My sound keeps inhibition by itself! Have you tried System Restore, but still was no use, guard passing! I have Windows XP.
For no reason I known, my speaker in the toolbar at the bottom right keeps silent! I tried the system restore, but it happens again... more frequently! Help!
Hello
Check if you have a sticky on the keypad mute button.
The sound will actually mode 'secret' or is it just cut out. You can tell if you have the sound icon in your system tray, you can see the red circle with a line through when her mute.
If it's cut: the function of it cutting may be a physical problem. The system may not have enough juice to power the sound. Try playing the sound on a low volume. My other guess would be to update drivers and test.
If the problem persists, reinstall the sound card drivers and check if that helps.

on windows xp that my system restore to a previous restore point, I tried many restore points & created new ones but the system displays "could not be restored", any help out there.
Let see... What do we know about your system environment:
It's windows xp.
If we knew more, you would probably now.
What is the problem that you are experiencing this thing you System Restore will be remedied? System Restore is not a time machine.
The system restore already worked successfully in the past?
Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems like frustrating and a lot of time as possible by asking only not for any information system when a new question is asked.
Provide information on your system, the better you can:
What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)
The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?
You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?
If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?
Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not allow a restore of the system work properly.For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:Restoration incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored...It is also a popular Symantec problem (well, I'll be polite and call an "undocumented feature"...), they wrote an article about it:According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.Sometimes you need start your system in Mode safe and so that your protection programs are not running, and then do the system restore. Tips from Microsoft in some of their articles that if the system restore does not restore your computer, start in Safe Mode, and then run the system restore. It works for some configurations.System Restore is sometimes so afflicted or Restore Points are suspicious, the best solution is to reinstall your system restore. This will remove the old Restore Points, but sometimes it's the only way to fix a broken system restore. You don't have to reinstall XP, only the part of system restore.That can leave you with your problem of unspecified origin that you hope the system restore will fix (using a system restore is usually not equivalent to fixing the problem though).Give these ideas some consideration if they apply to you.Sometimes malicious will afflict your system restore to prevent you to find and remove malware. It would much rather you trick into thinking that you need to repair or reinstall your XP when it is not necessary.No matter what you use for protection against malware, I do so and then only begin to solve any problems:Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/It can be uninstalled later if you wish.The scans by operating clean, reboot, test and we can fix any other issues. -
My OS is Vista Business and I'm on Firefox version 8. I'm using the Google toolbar and I have an icon for bookmarks, but when I click on it a message «Connect to access your favorite Google.» I signed but still cannot access my favorites.
The Google toolbar is not compatible with versions of Firefox beyond Firefox 4. If you override the extension for compatibility is enabled in Firefox 8, which will not work because Google has changed the URL to connect a few months before; who crossed the Google toolbar even further.

I have Windows XP Professional on my Dell E-310. I got a VIRUS episode 2 weeks ago
and NOW my PC will NOT be reset to a previous RESTORE POINT using System Restore.
Any Suggestions?Spybot SD resident and professional SAS are not enough.
If you have been affected by malicious software, the best way to get help is by identifying. Bleeping Computer has created guides large removal on their site, for Trojan horses, etc. (I hope so, Debbie C think not I just spammed forum, which goes against the "Code of conduct").
Once you get all set (and may require a clean install), you must make sure that you have all the latest Micorosft XP patches security installed. In addition, a quality anti-virus program like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avira AntiVir (both free) are essential (hope that is not considered spam, either).

Hi, I have Windows Home Premium 64-bit. I want to create a restore point, but I get a message saying that the system restore has been disabled by the administrator of the political group contact domain administrator. I am connected with an administrator account. I have read forums that give instructions to access the system restore options: file or tabs just do not appear and there are some comments saying that the option does not exist in my version. So how the hell do I create a system restore point in Vista Home Premium?

Hello
1 Norton will interfere with system restore
If using Norton, disable Norton Protection inviolable, use SR.
2. try Safe Mode system restore:
And here's how to go in Safe Mode options; select Safe Mode from the list of options:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
3 malicious software stops the restoration of the work system to protect themselves from coming off.
Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware, if necessary in Mode safe mode with networking:

I've set up earlier a manual restore date when I did a cleanup, but I don't know how to get back to that either.
XP system restore should only be used in certain circumstances. Why do you think it's necessary?
What do you mean by "I did some clean-up?
There are two main explanations for the failure of the restoration of the system. The first is the presence of malware. The second is a program such as Norton or ZoneAlarm that interferes with the process:

duplicates sound on top of itself when you return to the home page
I have a question about loading a file mp3 in flash. mp3 is loading and playing very well, but if I click on a button to access a new framework and then click another button to return to the home page, a new copy of the audio clip even is loaded on one that is already running, causing two audio files to play at the same time. He'll keep load a new copy of the audio clip whenever I come back to the homepage. How can I fix it? Here is the code I use:
var url: String = "testMusic.mp3";
var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest (url);
var sound: Sound = new Sound();
Sound.load() (urlRequest);
Sound.play();red_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, goSomewhere);
function goSomewhere(event:MouseEvent):void {}
gotoAndPlay (15);
}There is also a similar function that jumps to frame 1 (homepage).
:
var alreadyStarted:Boolean;
{if(!alreadyStarted)}
alreadyStarted = true;
var url: String = "testMusic.mp3";
var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest (url);
var sound: Sound = new Sound();
Sound.load() (urlRequest);
Sound.play();red_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, goSomewhere);
function goSomewhere(event:MouseEvent):void {}
gotoAndPlay (15);

Lost sound laptop-ATI and IDT files deleted, restored, but still no sound
Hello
By mistake I deleted files ATI high definition Audio Device and IDT Audio Codec.
When I realized that these were system files I restored them and reloaded the drivers, but I have still no sound and YouTube videos crash after about 10 seconds.
I checked the drivers in the Device Manager and for the IDT Codec, I get:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) "
Ideas everyone.
Thank you
Success!
In 'Control Panel' came in "Troubleshooting" and then "hardware and sound" and then under "Sound" automatically reloaded the drivers and it works again.
In "Setup/sound Panel" under 'Record and playback' IDT HD Audio CODEC drivers have reinstalled for speakers and headphones etc..
Have all the sounds back

I lost my CD of Windows XP OEM for system integrator, but still have the cd - key
Hello
My system is corrupt and I need to reinstall Windows XP Professional on my computer.
I have lost my Windows XP Professional OEM cd, if I still have the cd - key.
Anyway, or no matter what number I can contact to get a new cd or other alternatives?
Thank you very much
New CD no longer exists.
Since you still have the valid key, you need to somehow know is how to get one of these CDs. If you're lucky, you know someone who has one. It will work with your key. But it must be authentic, of course!If a friend of yours and if they give you an image .iso of it, then you must verify that these are the hash values:MD5: 9BB3CB003E2C6005FCCC28C305BE05FF
SHA1: DDA4AC450B2174CAC6C15295711330160C237418Otherwise, you will probably wind upward with a version riddled with malware (creeping on the Internet of course) and you should certainly avoid at all costs the versions of malware in prey. -
