I lost my CD of Windows XP OEM for system integrator, but still have the cd - key

Hello

My system is corrupt and I need to reinstall Windows XP Professional on my computer.

I have lost my Windows XP Professional OEM cd, if I still have the cd - key.

Anyway, or no matter what number I can contact to get a new cd or other alternatives?

Thank you very much

New CD no longer exists.

Since you still have the valid key, you need to somehow know is how to get one of these CDs. If you're lucky, you know someone who has one. It will work with your key. But it must be authentic, of course!
If a friend of yours and if they give you an image .iso of it, then you must verify that these are the hash values:
MD5: 9BB3CB003E2C6005FCCC28C305BE05FF
SHA1: DDA4AC450B2174CAC6C15295711330160C237418
Otherwise, you will probably wind upward with a version riddled with malware (creeping on the Internet of course) and you should certainly avoid at all costs the versions of malware in prey.

  • Lost copy and latest features in windows xp, start all related services, but still have the same problem

I noticed that when I tried to paste text from one place to another it would not work.  Option paste came up but when I cliked on this matter nothing happened.  Somewhere else when I pasted I got which was in memory of the last time I had copy and pasted, but what I had copied just does not paste.pasted.

OK NEVER MIND.  I GUESS I HAD TO REBOOT OR SOMETHING BUT IF YOU CAN ME SAY WHY WOULD GOOD.
    THANX.

When you work with technology, literally anything can break in all possible ways, and also thanks to technology, reboot usually solves the problem. Because of this, there is no way of knowing what did copy / paste to stop working, but I doubt it will happen again any time soon. And if so, reboot will most likely fix it.

However if she happen, or even several times, then you are looking at a deeper problem that will need to be fixed. If that presents arrive just another question and we'll work to help solve the problem.

Mobility Center is not working properly

    Hello

    How to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

EU the link below to download the ISO of Windows Vista. It's totally free.
The site is Digital River. It is 100% legitimate. It is recognized and supported by Microsoft.

The link also teach you how to burn the iso file on a bootable install DVD.

Although it says Dell at the top of the page, it applies to both Dell or other than Dell.

Make sure that you select the correct version of bit.

    x 86 32-bit version =

    x 64 = 64-bit version.

  • My wife down loaded window 8. But I want to reinstall vista 32. No cd. but I have the product key.

My wife down in 8 loaded window, but I want to reinstall Vista 32. (not), but I have my product key.  I need help!  Thank you

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista from how you bought your computer, IF the 8 Windows Installer do not wipe it.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

  • How can I reinstall Windows 8 on an OEM laptop when I don't have the product key?

I bought an Asus x401a laptop for my daughter as a Christmas gift. It comes preinstalled with Windows 8. Yesterday, the unit closed at key and we had to make a hard stop. On reboot, Windows will not start and instead came up with a screen that informed it was an automatic repair. This obviously didn't want to; the unit restarted and launched the auto repair, which once again. The third box... I had a few options: I could update the installation or reset it. There were several recorded files (we only had a few weeks), so I chose Reset, which if I understand correctly, it would clear everything and start over. After a while, another screen informed me that Windows could not reset the computer, who took over the entire process to the wire.

I ran across this process several times, each time with the same result. I do not think that anything is actually wrong with the material (such as menus and other seem to work correctly; I think it's maybe just a corrupted file system) and I'd like to do a reinstall of the operating system, as it came from the factory. This is where I ran into my problem:

    • I can't download the Microsoft operating system legitimately, without providing the product key in the download tool
    • The product key is apparently built into the BIOS and not print anywhere, so I can't find my existing key without some sort of tool
    • Various tools are available to 'sniff' the product key from the BIOS, but because Windows is not running, I can't use them

So my question is: exactly what should be my next step? ASUS would have a copy of the key related to my serial number, etc.. ? Should I install an old copy of Windows 7 just so that I can run a utility to get the key from the BIOS, or who will replace the number by something else? Or is there perhaps some way I can get the key of product directly from you?

I like to keep Windows 8, as my daughter has already learned the interface, but at this point, it looks like this may be impossible by design.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums.

I understand that you reinstall Windows 8 in the OEM specifications.

As it is the OEM of Windows 8 version, the system manufacturer will have more details in this regard. I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the system.

    Hi Aowlad,

If your copy of Vista came pre-installed with your PC, you should contact the manufacturer of your PC for replacement disks. You will find no doubt that they will charge you for the replacement and they won't be cheap.

If you purchased your copy of Vista in a store you will be normal should have the purchase receipt or proof of purchase (I guess a credit card statement would be sufficient, but I'm not sure). Take a look at this link for more details:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;326246
