My swatches in Illustrator 18.1.0 is broken. This is a solid red bar instead of showing all the colors. Any ideas?

• How to properly add a PANTONE swatches in Illustrator with Extendscript?

  I'm working on a script to generate several files in a printing process:

  -a file containing a single item of taxation

  -a file which contained evidence of the element (to be sent to the client)

  -a file that contains the imposition of elements to print

  In order to maximally automate the actions of the process, I want to add all the colors that are used on the print item in the nuances of each generated files. I have orders to CMYK or CMYK plus 1, 2 or 3 PANTONE colors.

  There is no problem for me to add CMYK colors or custom colors, built from CMYK colors in the color chart of the document, but I don't know how I can add a PANTONE color in shades. In fact, I generate empty files with all the 'settings', I need to work properly, and when all the files are generated, I work only on the single element (file only item that is imported by my script in the tax files and evidence).

  So my question is this: is it better to 'generate' with CMYK colors (and add it to the color chart as a ColorModel.SPOT) to add a PANTONE color in shades, or is it possible (and probably better) to add in the PANTONE library?

  It seems to me there is no access to libraries PANTONE of Extendscript, the solution is to create a document with all the colors, we need and open it to get some samples that we must do the work.

  I am able to set up a custom in Illustrator without any problem gradient, but I wanted to know if there is a way to use the color picker when setting your custom colors or if you are limited to a narrow bar of color (which has all the colors but feels harder to use for me)?

  Click color to change in the Panel degraded stop / palette. Then, double-click on the fill area at the bottom of your tool palette/Panel. Who should bring up the color picker and color you choose apply until stop in the gradient you had clicked.

  Alternatively, double-click the area fill with nothing selected to bring up the color picker. Choose your desired color, and then drag the color from the fill box to the Swatches palette/Panel to create a new shade. Later, with the gradient panel/palette active, you can drag samples directly on the steps of color to change your gradient.

  Whenever I use the tool to work to redefine colors in Illustrator normal it shows just the colors of the selected artwork. It now automatically keeps showing groups of colors and rearrange the colors and their display oddly. When I click the pipette for "colors of the selected picture" it goes back to normal, but as soon as I close it and reopen it is goes back to color groups once again. Half the time, the colors do not yet exist in the work. The two background images are how its been looking and acting lately. The very last image at the bottom, this is how it was before the update. I use this 24/7 tool is incredibly frustrating, I know there are other ways to change the colors, but it's the quickest way to the type of work I do. Thanks for the replies!

But when I reopen it the document even then it works fine. his Illustrator bug so I think that there should be a way to refresh the nuances internally.   I found a solution to overcome the error params for the shades of color. While we cross through swatches. You can stringify object and can check whether or not illustrator error has occurred in the case of check just swatch [witness] and in the case of color task just check for [place].

  It is not a sample of color, but it is filled with a gradient.

  Just use your Swatches Panel to change to a color swatch (or the Panel declined to change the gradient).

  Hey, no one knows what happened to the color picker in Illustrator? In Photoshop, you can sample a color from anywhere outside the window of the application by clicking and dragging with the eyedropper tool. I know you used to be able to do as in Illustrator, but now it doesn't seem to work. I tried Googling the answer, but all I get are about a hundred people showing how to do it in 2012, 2013. Nothing more recent than that which leads me to believe they have much changed something in a recent version of the AI. Don't know how to do it now. Basically, what I need to know is, How do you choose the color of the exterior of the Illustrator these days? I have the latest version - IA CC 2015.3 I think.

  My guess is Yes. I'm on a Mac, but test everything that does not work for you, and it works very well, including the colors of the windows of the browser and my wallpaper.

  I booted up my (Win 10) Surface and get the same results that you describe. It could be a limitation of Windows or a bug, but whether you can report it here: feature request/Bug Report Form.

  So I created this illustration on my iPad Pro and decided to cross hatching on the bottom. Easily to thousands of forms of this process.

  After the fact for a few days, I finally finished the bottom.

  

  

  And then I tried to 'send it to Illustrator. That's what I even after the deletion of all the other layers.

  But it kept for hours and days without anything to show for download.

  Other applications such as http://bit.ly/joc0zm and Autodesk graphics are able to download the files directly from the iPad to the computer. People spend hours and hours to create their work. They should be able to get the files in less than 5 minutes. After all, it comes to 2016.

  Don't get me wrong, I LOVEEEEEE the app. I do tons of work on it. But the creative cloud is buggy as hell.

  And why the Mobile creations folder does not appear in the creative Cloud Files folder? WHY? Please tell me that you are working on it!

  Yes. When a drawing is complex if you do not use Internet high speed, it will timeout before sending. Almost everytime.

  I have a strange problem. Every time when I double click on the color picker in illustrator, I hear a boring. It's the same when you make a mistake, only then I get a dialog box with information about the error. The color picker appears and flashes at first. It works normally. I got turned down the volume, but of course that is not a solution. Anyone has any idea what it is?

This happens just about once a fortnight and was held for a while. Happens to the illustrator, no other application on my system.
