My tabs will not close. EAVEN when I close and reopen it.

Closed by waterfox open it back up to several times still open previous tabs

I have trivialized the solution that you seem to still have problems.

Make sure you that if you keep the two browsers that you use a different profile of Firefox for each browser.

When I run the command "killall Dock" multiple icons dead is reduced to one. It seems that for most opengl using the Apps are kept in the Dock after closing.

  • sysfader will not close and I can't turn off my computer.

    Original title: sysfader

Sometimes when I try to stop the computerwill not answer. When I go to master it shows sysfader is running. How can I avoid this problem and fix it permanently.

I saw two different opinions on sysfader.

It is a part of Windows XP that makes the menu animations and you can avoid problems by disabling effects: http://beyondteck.blogspot.com/2006/05/how-to-stop-sysfaderexe-error.html

The other view is that it is malware.

Given that I have a XP Pro sp3 box perfectly to date (with the lighted animations) and have any file anywhere in the system, my money is on notice 2.

Download, install, update and run full scans with each of the following free tools.  Do not run the scans at the same time.  They will take some time, so start one and go do something else for a while.

    E AntiMalwar MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

The third option is that it is not a Windows animation effect, but one that is provided by some (but not all) of the nVidia drivers.  So, if you have an nVidia graphics card and you can find what we call the nVidia nView Desktop Manager (probably from start > Panel > display) go to Desktop Management > properties > appearance > effects and unselect "Fade Effect".

It's maddening. After the FF20 update, whenever I open FF the stupid welcome message is on permanent display in a tab. There is no way to opt out. You can't close it. Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Windows Firefox will not close.

    Hello
I am running windows 8.1 and Firefox 38.0.1. whenever I click on the Red 'x' to close Firefox, Firefox will not close. If I want to close all tabs, Firefox does not close the last tab. If I try to merge windows (by dragging the tab of a window in a different window) Firefox will create a blank tab on the window where I dragged the dragged tab. So far, the only way to close the Fire Fox is click on the close button or to stop by the Task Manager. When I re - open Firefox Windows and previous tabs are also there, and I'm still not able to close them. I restarted my PC and reinstalled Firefox (uninstalled and re-download). However, after downloading Firefox... the same windows will be opened, with the same tabs! It's horrible!

    Hello cach_dies,

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • Web sites will not close. How can I force them? Cannot close their or firefox.

I have three tabs that will not close or allow me to close firefox.

Start Firefox in Mode safe to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    To turn on safe mode

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.
    • Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: ' Firefox > quit Firefox. " Linux: "Firefox/file > exit ')

  • Notification Center will not close on my ipad 2

My notification/widgets page will not close on my IPAD 2.  When I drag the page, it won't move.  I can see my page weakly in the background with "slide to unlock" and the clock start, but could not get anything to move.  I wanted to try to start again, but I can't stop because I can't drag any suggestions?

    Hi ghartman1,

    Please visit Apple support communities.

If you can't drag to unlock your iPad or turn it off, you can force it to restart:

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    How to force reboot

You must force restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch as a last resort, and that if it does not. To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

You can also learn what to do if your device isn't yet to respond or turn on.

    All the best.
