  There are two possible locations for the tasks and processes to be configured for a start. The first (and most obvious) is in the folder 'Start-up' that you will see if you click on "Start-> all programs. A shortcut to an application placed here will cause this application to start when Windows loads.

  Less obvious place is in the system registry, and it is where most of the assigned tasks/processes will be. The best way to view these is to use the MSCONFIG function (just click 'Start'-> run and then type MSCONFIG in the command line).

  When the MSCONFIG window opens, simply click on the "Startup" tab and you will see a list of processes displayed with a check box next to each entry. You can select any process you want to start (but make sure you do not stop the tasks necessary for Windows or the configuration of your own laptop). When you accept all changes you want to the system will ask you if you want to restart and your laptop restarts then with the changes you have made in force. Note that, after the reboot, you will be informed that the system has started in diagnostic mode to return to normal just relaunch MSCONFIG and on the tab GENERAL, click on the 'normal' radio button

  that you have correctly installed all the drivers for this machine? It's really important, because without the correct drivers you won´t be able to get the full potential of your material.

  The other thing is, it s always better (especially at these present times) to have a codecpack on the computer installed.

  • Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
  • Also please go to preferences > Performance tab and uncheck the box "use graphics processor.
  • Restart Lightroom and see if it works.
  • Please make sure you also update of Lightroom to the latest version, which is 6.3 Lightroom

  My Satellite 2520 CDT is the HARD Mk 4309 MAST 4.3 GB default disk. I replaced the with the Toshiba MK 2016 GAP of 20 GB.
  I use Windows 98 since the original installation CD. The laptop is now very slow, it takes minutes to start programs, etc.

  I installed the latest BIOS with no improvement. Probably the laptop cannot manage the size of the HARD drive.

  I had the same suggestion. I think that the large size of the HARD disk is responsible to slowly start performance. But I wonder why BIOS recognize the HARD drive?
  However, try to defragment the HARD drive.

  When I look in the newspaper, there is a WMI wich tooks 2 minutes East service delivered with an error.

  After that, my pc on the screen fr jumps 'welcom' starts normally.

  So I turn the WMI service, but that there are other mistakes after the full boot (tosipcsrv.exe close).

  Is there another type of solution, except turn the WMI service?

  for three years, I never had any problem with my Mac. Now, all of a sudden, from one moment to the other, it runs very slowly. Also, I have to force every time you start the Mac with pressing the button for a few seconds. When closing the laptop and opening it, it locks again as well (only the screen black, start must be forced).

  First thing I noticed was that kernel_task uses up to 400% of the RAM. I tried to find the problem myself, read about kernel_task, and did the following things (without success):

  -Updated to the latest version of El Capitan

  -Reset NVRAM and SMC

  -hardware running apple diagnostics test (Code: ADP000 find anything)

  -removal of protected system /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC _PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources to another folder, files and then reboot

  -make an EtreCheck.

  Can someone help me? Especially to interpret the diagnosis of EtreCheck?

  Hi, I got home Wednesday night from work and my computer was VERY slow. It also blocks no foreseeable reason since and I also noticed IO errors when you try to back up some audio files on my external.

  I searched on similar questions on Microsoft Knowledge base page and found this interesting doc:

  It has exactly the same symptom described: the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error (0x8007045D)

  It s required to run the command Chkdsk X: /R
  In this command, x is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check. So if you want to check the partition or HARD drive then replace X by the letter of the partition or HARD drive.

  I also recommend to check the HARD drive using 3rd party tool called: Drive Fitness Test.
  You can download for free.

  Run and check the might of HARD drive, it must be replaced.

  I recommend you to download and install TuneUp Utilities program. This is shareware, but you can use it for free for a month. It cleans up your registry, deletes files in double and other useless officials. And as complement, download Raxco Perfect disk or Diskeeper to defrag your hard drive.

  Because of some virus, I started the recovery on my laptop and installed Vista Edition home premium windows fresh. But now I am facing a problem.
  My windows is loading very slowly. When I start my laptop, after the Windows logo appears, it takes almost 4-5 minutes to load the Destop and the appear the message "Please wait".

  Before recovery he never had so much time. Onliy since 1 month since I bought it.

  I bought a Satellite Pro U300 in February 2008 and I only use it 3 - 4 times since then...
