  • Immediate accident on all sites of video using Flash.

    Hi guys,.

    I had problems with Flash player for some time. For example, HBO now Hulu use flash and the plugin crashes whenever I open any video. I checked that my browser (firefox), flash player and Win10 are all up to date. I also made sure I have any add-ons or applications that could interfere with flash player, and did I not everything which is not compatible, and with whom I have also ensured that the flash is activated. I've disabled hardware acceleration and erased all my data storage, cache and history just in case. I was not able to find other solutions through the forums or through adobe or mozilla support. I had no luck until you find the source of the problem.

    If you are on a 64-bit version of Windows, you should switch to Firefox 64-bit.  You will have a much better experience of Flash and Firefox in terms of stability, performance and security.

    We will give that a try first, then if it still crashes, we take a look at some of the crash logs.

  • I didn't animate the upgrade. Now cannot use Flash CC

    I do not normally do, but I have to complain about Adobe and companies need to make more profit.

    I've been using Flash CC. At some point, I would have changed to animate, but not at the moment. However, the

    Animate upgrade took place despite my not wanting him. Tried to tell the Service the customer I didn't upgrade

    but said I could not go back to Flash CC.

    The key is the update that I only get the trial version 30 days. Once the application is disabled until

    I buy. The purchase of all the CC apps has been by the College, that I work. Tried to explain this to

    the customer service, but it fell on deaf ears.

    Really dislike Adobe at this point.

    1. When you install updates, adobe (unfortunately, IMO) removes the previous version unless tell you it explicitly from the old versions only (advanced options > untick remove older versions).

    2. right after the point 1/2 towards the bottom of the page is a portal showing how to install previous versions, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html

  • We use Flash Pro CC creating animations with legends and export to html 5.  We must translate the captions in other languages. How can we download translation of texts in our flash animations so we can use them in html5 using CreateJS?

    We use Flash Pro CC creating animations with legends and export to html 5.  We must translate the captions in other languages. How can we download translation of texts in our flash animations so we can use them in html5 using CreateJS?  I use the Flash on a Mac OSX 10.10.3

    Are you familiar with JavaScript?

    It does not completely answer your question, but the text displayed on the screen from any language (ActionScript/CreateJS / [insert the programming language]) generally all following the same path. Each language has a file stored in some form of key = value style, named through the language and the country of your choice, for example en_US.json

    Any language would allow the user to choose regional settings. The application would then grab the appropriate file and everywhere where the text is needed, the script must be using a (usually global or singleton) variable/service that can get the text of the requested key.

    for example if I wanted a user to have a confirmation of dialogue who said 'are you sure?"with buttons for 'Yes' and 'No', I would have (for me), an Englishman, USA base file en_US.json with these values, for example:

    en_US. JSON example:

    {

    'CONFIRM_YES_NO': ' are you sure?

    'YES': '' Yes. ''

    'NO': 'no '.

    }

    Then you use simply JS/AJAX to read this file. You analyze, or simply JSON decode in an object, or manually, depending on what suits your needs. When you want to display any text, you use the object (variable, maintenance, etc.) you have stored these values.

    for example calling to display function confirm dialogue:

    Nickname... but if you understand...

    and this comes from jQuery UI (see here)

    function confirmDialog() {}

    $(«#dialog-confirmer»).dialog({)

    Title: LocalizationObject ['CONFIRM_YES_NO'],

    buttons:]

    {

    text: LocalizationObject ["YES"],

    Click: function() {/ / do something for 'yes '.

    }

    {

    text: LocalizationObject ["NO"],

    Click: function() {/ / do something to the 'no '.

    }

    ]

    });

    }

    Please consider loosely. 'LocalizationObject' is a variable object or service that returns the appropriate text for the key that you provide. In this case, he provided the key 'CONFIRM_YES_NO', 'YES' and 'NO', which must be on the right answer for this key, localized.

    Again, this is not a manual on how to do it via Flash Pro but it's the general conceptual way you could do it in any language. There are a variety of other ways to do it, but it's a very simple way, as long as you keep your key names at least wake up verbose. A key name such as LocalizationObject ["ABC123"] is not really tell you what the key can be referred. Also nest them contributes greatly, as LocalizationObject ["UI'] ['DIALOGUES'] ['CONFIRM'] ['YES_NO'] = ' are you sure? It just shows I nested the title of the dialog within the user interface, because it is the text that appears in the user interface rather than content. Then inside dialog boxes that may contain a variety of different dialog boxes. Then inside her CONFIRM type of dialogue. Finally, the type is a dialogue YES_NO type (as opposed to OK_CANCEL or JUST_OK, etc.). Whole set makes it easy to understand what the text of reading: UI YES_NO confirm DIALOG boxes.

    I hope that from here you can see that you need to review everywhere you display text on the screen and centralize it in a sort of object (function or variable) of your choice. You must store the external language files to prevent unnecessarily load the other languages as well as an easy to modify Setup.

    The rest is just using basic JavaScript.

    Just be ready for the most difficult challenge. At least for me. The size of the text in several languages is very different, and in some cases requires the loading of special fonts. This can make layout in a very difficult dynamic environment. Always thinking all text how big or small can be in any particular and plan field on this size more and shrink so that to handle this situation correctly.

  • How to use Flash to create an interactive diagram

    Hi all.

    I'm an extreme newbie. I would like to create an interactive schema and someone said I should use Flash to do.

    The idea is to create an organization chart (like the ones you can produce in MS Word 2010). Every station will have its own box or button. When a user clicks on the box or button, a Word document or internet link will be activated and take the user to another resource.

    Is it possible to do it in Flash?

    The reason why I chose Flash is because I have a large number of these diagrams and they must go to Moodle. Flash is apparently the only program I should use to import the schema into Moodle.

    Can someone help me please advice on how to do this?

    Thank you

    Sharyn

    By the end of the diagram of the things... Start by creating the chart in Flash.  Everything you intend to use as clickable elements, create them as movieclip symbol so that you will be able to assign instance names their.  You assign the instance names by selecting the object on the stage and entering a unique name in the properties panel where it says .  This name will be used in the code that you will use to create the feature by clicking on/Binder.

    End of things, start simple binding... create a diagram that has one click and get only a point of work.  What you learn can be applied to the larger version.  The same indicated in the first subparagraph shall apply.  Additional info only you need is to create the actual code.  To help that you must decide which version of Actionscript, you are going to use, which may depend on what version of Flash you use.  AS3 is the latest version of Actionscript, and there for the first time in being back with Flash CS3.

    The first thing you need to do to make a useful movieclip down must assign a unique instance name.  If you drag a copy of it on the stage of the library, and while it is still selected, enter you this unique instance for her name in the Panel properties... say you name "btn1.

    In AS3, to make a movieclip to work with the code, you must add a listener of events and event handler for it function.  You may need to add a little (for different events, like reversal, deployment, by clicking on it, but for now let's just say you want to be able to click them to get a web page.)  In the scenario that contains this button, a layer of separate actions that you create in a similar framework where this button exists, numbered, you must add the event listener:

    Btn1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btn1Click);

    The name of the unique function for the treatment, the click of this button is specified at the end of the assignment of event listener, so now you just have to write this function:

    function btn1Click(evt:MouseEvent):void {}

    var url: String = "http://www.awebsite.com/awebpage.html";

    var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest (url);

    navigateToURL (req);

    }

  • YouTube and WebMs are weird when trying to play automatically (details inside), but using Flash to load videos on websites like DailyMotion works very well.

    It started a few days ago, possibly coinciding with the update to 41.0.1.

    If I upload a video on Youtube, or load a WebM, the video shows that it is set to 'play', as it is supposed to and it loads as usual, but does not in fact, time just 0:00. If I pause and re-activate it or move the timer, he plays as usual. Also, if I load a Youtube video from a referral link on the page of a video that I've played, this happens. This does not happen on sites like DailyMotion who only use Flash instead of HTML5.

    Is there a solution for this? Even if I had to force Youtube to play with Flash instead of HTML5, it won't fix problems with WebMs.

  • Browser Konqueror for Linux has a CPU limitation function useful for Web sites using Flash content. You can add such a feature in Firefox?

    I recently discovered that browser Konqueror for Linux can help the user to limit the CPU usage while visiting a Web site using flash technology by changing the settings in the Flash section and by adjusting the slider settings VERY HIGH to HIGH and AVERAGE and so on. It actually works and it doesn't have a direct impact on the overall performance for flash player, but it can lead to conflicts if other such extensions that add blocker or click-to-flash are also enabled.

    Maybe you can add a similar setting in Firefox in the browser or just as a useful addon or extension option section.

  • Impossible to download files in Firefox, using flash uploader. Already reinstalled flash, works well in Chrome.

    I have a site where I can upload files to the site server using Flash - I have the latest Firefox and the latest version of the plugin Flash (uninstalled and reinstalled). "But the download fails - I get an unknown message of I/O. but only in Firefox - works fine in Chrome. I already ran the process of uninstalling/reinstalling Adobe and I also tried to run Firefox in Mode without failure and the problem persists.

    Hi Bilinbaja,

    I don't know if you use FTP to download the files, however, this error can sometimes refer to a hardware problem. Please try to turn hardware acceleration by clicking on an element using the flash plug-in and selection of parameters.

    Please let us know if this improves the performance as well as if this also happens on other computers, or if it still happens after you delete cache and cookies. Each browser has its own cache, Firefox's cache may also be longer. How to clear the Firefox cache

  • 16 Firefox hangs for a minute to access some Web pages, I think that they all use Flash

    I installed Firefox 16.0.1 yesterday. I was running 15 earlier in the day and it was fine. However, 16 FF started suddenly hanging for about a minute when I try to access some Web sites. It thaws fine after this minute, no crashes or anything like that, but it is very irritating. From what I can tell, it seems to do this on pages that use Flash. I have the latest version installed, and it made no difference. I tried downgrading to 15 FF and it's always the same. Anyone know what is happening?
    Thank you

  • Flash videos and things that use flash freeze firefox completely.

    Well, whenever I open a drive flash or something like that, most of the things that use flash player as a plugin, it freezes my firefox, and then, after a while it may or may not say that a script is causing problems blah blah.

    In fact, it is safer (in the perspective of a security vulnerability) to use 11.3 with protected mode off, assuming that it works for you. 11.2 is not getting all the patches.
