Hello Craig and Biggttee,

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:
I suggest you try run MGADiag.exe and check.
See this link:
http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012

If this does not help, then use method 2.

Method 2:
Please follow these steps and check the issue.

a. Click Start, type cmd in the start search box.

b. right click on cmd and select run as administrator.

c. type the following command at the command prompt and press ENTER.

net stop sppsvc

(It may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)

Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, that's ok.

d. type the following command one by one and press ENTER after each command:

CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat

CD %windir%\system32

net start sppsvc

slui.exe

e. Activation of Windows dialog box will appear. You may need to reactivate and to re - enter your product key or Activation can occur automatically.

f. run the MGADiag.

Please also refer to the advice given in this link: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6d5e9a33-e7ca-4b2e-9d1f-2774a622cacf/validation-code-50?forum=genuinewindows7

I hope this information helps.

Thank you

I think that maybe it's time to admit defeat on this one - there is obviously a problem with permissions from somewhere, but I have no idea where to look next, so it would be surgery tingling at best.

You may be able to repair the system with a repair installation, you need a disk with SP1 integrated. If your current is not SP1, then download one using links from this site...

    http://www.heidoc.NET/Joomla/technology-science/Microsoft

and burn the ISO to disk (don't just copy it)

and follow the instructions for installation of repair by http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

Sorry, I could not identify the cause!

Original title: my computer is corrupt and needs fixing!

I received calls from a person in India who said that they are Windows services centre telling me that they have received the error message saying that my computer is damaged, and they want to help me.  But I have not received any error message on my screen.  When I asked them how they got my number they said it's from the database of Windows. The number they gave me is 02921252715 and when I called the number of the person on the other end told me that they are a company called Windows e-solution, independent company and is not attached to Microsoft Windows.  What should I do?  Are these authentic calls and approved by Microsoft Windows?

  • Windows Vista/Defender telling me that I have multiple problems after update

I use Windows Vista.  I've had problems since getting an update a few days ago.  Windows Defender is constantly telling me that I have multiple problems - if nothing has changed outside the Windows Update.  When I try to open my Convert (bought) the DVD program, it displays the message from the Red Cross stating that "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  May not be the appropriate permissions for access you to them.  I should have all permissions on a computer at home.

It would help if you gave the details of the messages you see Windows Defender.

It could be that you have a fake antivirus infection similar to this:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-Windows-enterprise-Defender

A symptom of this would be applications for payment activate the software.

    I am running:

    (a) don't you get the same error message when you click on other items in the Panel?

    (b) have you done with the latest changes on the computer?

I suggest to reset the Windows Update components and check if this helps you fix your problem. Access the link below and try the Fix mentioned in the article tool to reset the Windows Update components automatically.

  • Windows Fix - it has determined that control UAC is disabled, but I'm invited to the password in each journal

original title: Log - on password problems.

Windows Fix - it has determined that control UAC is disabled, but I'm invited for the password at each newspaper. I am also asked to be renewed regularly.

I try to remove this password to logon, but can't as Windows claims that I use the wrong password to allow editing. I use the same password that I used to connect. How to spend it?

All of my icon are icons of java.  When I click, a back short style window appears, then disappears. I can not open files or links. What is the simple solution? This CHANGE occurred on 15 July.

    The simple solution is:

    1. type the word restore in your Start menu.  Some options will appear.  Choose to restore the system and settings files
2 - Click Next, choose July 14 (or a date before the problem occurred), and then click Next again.  Your system will restart with repaired parameters.

  • I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro after a hard disk crash. Sent product key Microsoft form with the Windows disk is invalid.

Some time ago I bought a computer with Windows XP pre-installed.  I have not received a CD with it.  At one point, during an update Windows online, I learned that the copy of Windows was not authentic, and the place I bought it from was out of business.  I then bought Windows XP Pro Microsoft online and went through the update of product with the Windows product key update tool and ran OK from there.
Well, my HDD recently crashed, and I started to install the Windows XP Pro purchased CD on a new hard drive.  The installation was asked to enter the 25-digit product key, I found that the unique product key sent with the CD has been a key 20 digits in this format; Product key: SKU:B7P - 00005 KEY01:xxxxx - xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-CD2.   (The x are just for the format).

What do need me do to be able to install my real purchased copy of Windows XP Pro?

The numbers you enter are not the product key. Contact Ms. online where you bought the CD or try some of the links below:

    Windows XP Pro, SP3

Recently made a clean installation fees.

Now, every time the logon / Welcome screen, screen saver will not invoke after the specified time-out period.

If the computer is on any other screen, a screen saver will call after the specified time-out period.

I can't understand why the screen saver will invoke is no longer when the connection / welcome screen appears.

If anyone has any input on this, I would appreciate it.
