  I'm a solo in-house designer with little sophisticated equipment. My company is upgrading its computers to the Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z and wants to put me in with the rest of the staff. I'm sure it meets the * minimum * plug for CS5 but speaking with other designers, I was told it will work, but I probably won't be happy performance. My IT Department is ready to listen to the concerns that I have, but I want to be able to express them in an intelligent way and in their own language. The basis for the system specs are below:

  ThinkCentre M90z series 3091
  Processor Intel Core i5-650 (3.20 GHz, 4 MB Cache)
  chip hyper thread I5 650 dual core which takes care of OGL 2.1
  Windows 7 Professional genuine 64
  AIO 23 inch 150W 85% more / Intel Q57 flat / no touch with camera

  4 GB PC3 - 10600 1333 MHz SoDIMM (2 DIMM)

  My daily use includes:

  InDesign

  PhotoShop

  Illustrator

  Flash

  and may soon include a video montage with a yet-to-be-determine software.

  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  For applications that you mentioned, apart from video editing, it will be OK. For video editing (AE, EN, PR), it is terribly underspecced and does not meet the minimum requirements.

  For video editing you really need a much more powerful PC, think that as the i7-950, 12 GB of RAM, nVidia GeForce GTX 460 + and at least 2, but preferably 3 SATA 7200 RPM drives. For a laptop your only sensitive brands are Sager and Clevo.

  Only numbers of series CS6 can be exchanged against Windows to Mac (and vice versa)

  I downloaded the English version for CS5 Design Premium. The original product is (partially) in Finnish, which is no longer available. I suspect that this is perhaps why the series is not accepted, but I don't know where I could download the product of the Finnish language is.   I bought CS5 Design Premium earlier for my Windows 7 computer. Long story short, this computer is now broken so I use a Windows Vista-based computer. I tried to install my CS5 Design Premium package, however it was not possible to install because it's for a computer Windows 7 x 64 and this Vista is not x 64. So I was wondering if there was any way I could download a version of CS5 Design Premium that is compatible with my Vista computer and use my serial code for this? I can't afford to buy CS6 since I don't work, so no income, and I don't want that. I just use my CS5 programs right now.

  The problem is that CS5 is out before OSX is enhanced security setting. It causes this misleading error because it is not "signed" as a trusted application and therefore is blocked.

  You must go to your security & privacy in the Apple system preferences and set it Anywhere temporarily before opening the DMG, installation and update. After that is finished, set it to the Mac App Store and identified developers.
