  If XP was preinstalled and then to be in compliance with the license of manufacturers, the vendor of the computer SHOULD give you a method of the computer back to factory State, by hidden partition or recovery CD.

  See the documentation provided with your computer or contact the seller directly. They should be able to provide at least a CD of recovery (for a small fee of course...)

  Running Acer laptop Win7 Home Edition, Avira Antivirus, Windows Firewall. Mozilla's Firefox downloaded installer stub.   If that fails, use snippingtool.exe to create a snapshot of the Disk Manager. Save the snapshot on your desktop, and then attach it to your response.
