"myApp-debug".

Hi all

whenever I install an App on the Simulator, he appears with the suffix "xxxx-debug".

Does he know how to deploy about in "production"?

I use "-bar target ' as argument (and not"bar debug target"), but does not try to change anything...

What is a bb package manager command line option? Or a project property option? Or an app - xml param?

I am little confused here...

Hi JRab,

quick response, thanks for the reply.

I was looking at the same time, but I see no "debug" reference to one of my config files...

So, I couldn't apply your solution.

But I managed to do work, here's what I did, it's almost the same as yours:

-In the properties of project/Flex Build packaging: activate the target 'BlackBerry '.

-Then ' Project/Export Release Build', using BB target, in a specific directory:

who creates the .bar file

-Now use the command line that you have described:

BlackBerry - deploy.bat - package appName.bar - installApp-device x.x.x.x

(I also use the Burrito, "what else?" )

  • Debug vs version relies on Simulator

I am writing an app of Cascades/C++ native BB10 using the Momentics IDE on Mac OSX 2.0.

I would like to have a "Debug" version which includes additional code to check the internal inconsistencies and additional test functions (which will make the app run slow) and a "release" without any additional code (so it will run faster and be smaller and not to let users do things that they are not intended to do).

I think I can use the QT_NO_DEBUG macro to toggle additional code.  Am that I on the right track here?  Is this the "path BB10"?

I chose "run Release' instead of 'Run' in the IDE, clean and build, but I don't see - DQT_NO_DEBUG in commands in the Console window she built.  When it runs on the Simulator, I get no qDebug() results in the Console window, so something must be different.  I added a SystemDialog to tell me if QT_NO_DEBUG is enabled or not, and it is always disabled.  I have not yet tried on a real device.  I need to work on the Simulator, but also a real device.

While browsing the Momentics IDE 2.0, I see references to "Device-Debug", "Device-Release', 'Device-Profile',"Simulator-Debug"but not"Simulator Release.  Why not?

(I get this list by right-clicking on my project in the Project Explorer tab, build some Configurations/manage... which shows a "Manage the Configurations" dialog box with these listed configurations.)

I have created a new configuration called "Simulator Release" copying "Simulator-Debug" and makes it the active configuration, but I don't see how to edit to add - DQT_NO_DEBUG and change the optimization levels, etc.

When I right click on my project in the Project Explorer, run as / Run Configurations...  I get a dialog box that allows me to select a target (named as: MyApp run_release sim_10_2_1_3175), where I can change the Configuration to build my new Simulator-Release, but then the field to "binary:"running on empty, and won't let me change it. "

I also see references to a record like 'x 86/o-g' (which I think is where he puts the debug version), and also a folder called "x 86/o" (which is where I assume she would have a Release version).  I guess correctly here?  Why do we have references to the ' 86/o x' without configuration generate to here?

I hope that this kind of thing would be a little easier, or even built-in when I created at the origin of the project, but I've been googling and try things for half a day with no luck.

Can you tell me some examples step by step how to do what I'm doing?  I have used many IDEs and other construction systems in my day, but I'm pretty new to Momentics/Eclipse.

    Thank you for any input,

    Ed Federmeyer

    Follow up more!

Duh!  I realized all of a sudden!

Rather than include mk/cs - base.mk Makefile for my project, I can COPY cs - base.mk in a local version in my project (cs-base - custom.mk for example) folder, WHICH include and put my additional targets in there, without the need to override the 'clean' target, which means no makefile warning more!

    Happy, happy days!

  • Generation of BlackBerry error make: * [Simulator-Debug] error 2

I'm new to the blackberry development. I use Blackberry 10.2 SDK with Momentics IDE. I get following error after every few generations. I noticed this build configuration by default with the deletions of project output file that causes this error. Restoration project output file solves the problem in the next generation. It's really embarrassing and I think I'm missing something obvious for the build configuration in the project. Can anyone suggest how to solve this problem of generation?

  • Build for the success of peripheral liberation but build for debugging device failed

Hi, I have created new project with the new SDK of my previous old SDK which is already can build release and debug of the device device.

I'm just copying the file in the src folder and active and made the minor change due change of myApp.cpp to applicationui.cpp

(I'm doing this because when create export release build, the size of .bar .bar file is big - I'm already the clean)

When I build this device release is success but for device debugging failed.

    Ah I found the solution.

    Must add the .pro file:

    LIBS +=-lbb

Maybe on the old SDK don't project any need to add this, but the new SDK project may need this (I don't know). But after that I added this on my .pro, the success of my project build on the device debugging.

I think there is no problem with the code.

The problem is preverify in command.

You must specify the file net_rim_api.jar with the full path name in the command.

In case contrary preverify just could not find the Persistable interface.

You specified only the lib folder.

    Follow these steps:

    Preverify.exe - classpath 'c:\program search in motion\blackberry jde 4.7.0\lib\net_rim_api.jar' persistentstoredemo.jar

  • Error installing WAP browser - myapp - 1.cod 404 not found

    Hi all Experts,

I am new to the BalckBerry Development.I have developed an application and have tested on Blackberry phone and Simulator.

While testing on phoneI used BlackBerry Desktop manager to install the application on the phone. Now, I want to download from a wap browser and install on the phone so that one can install it. But I am getting following error when installing from the wap browser.

    "myapp - 1.cod 404 not found".

I put the rest of files on the server

    1 myapp.cod

    2 myapp.jad

    3 myapp.csl

    4 myapp.cso

5 myapp.alx (I used this file for installation using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager)

Do I need to put any other file for this?

When I debug it I found that my jad file contains sh1 signature for files myapp - 1.cod, 2.cod - myapp myapp - 3.cod.

But I couldn't find the files above.

    Should I generate these files?

If the cod file is greater then 64 k is a zip file. I use winrar in context menu. If all defective changes the extension zip and try it then.

in the zip files are the Sub-Sub-cod-files, such as the cod-1, 2-cod etc.

  • [problem] Flex 4 and the Flash Debug Player

    Hi guys,.

I'm currently writing a game engine using the Flex SDK 4 bundled with Flash Builder. I keep running into a weird bug which is absolutely destroy my head. I use FlashDevelop as my IDE.

Basically what is happening, is that from time to time when compiling using the Debug Flash player fails to launch and instead, I get this message:

'Set some breakpoints, and then type "continue" to resume the session.'

It is, I use FlashDevelop and I don't have a debugger, or continue anyway to type (not that I want to type it in the first place). Basically, now, FlashDevelop or Flash, no blocks. I can't start again unless manually close the Flash Debug Player (the latest version 10 btw), or close FlashDevelop, in which case, the Flash Debug Player now starts up.

Now, crazy as it sounds, I think that it is related to the size of the file. For example, the last occurrence of this bug was when I added a Set accessor of a class, that's how it happened:

public function set BackgroundColour (c:Colour): void

    {

    This.m_bgColour = c;.

    }

Pretty innocuous, right? However to add this function means that now I can't run my program in debugging. If I add the line:

    private var myRandomNumber:Number = 1;

Before my function, everything works fine. If I change the number to int, brand new case!

That happen all the time and it is fine when compiled in the release. Seriously, this bug is painful-anyone know what is behind it or how to stop what is happening (outside your class fill with bloat)?

    Thank you

    Damian

    > Does this also true even when I put "- static - link-TIME-shared-libraries = true" in the compiler options (see the example code above)

Oops, no, I hadn't noticed that.

    > Again, I will stress again that seems to be triggered by size

Sorry I don't address that directly in my earlier comments. It's just that I think it's probably a Kipper.  But in any case, I continue to suspect that FlashDevelop is wrong somehow outcome from FDB.  There is a way to test my theory: running the debugger of FDB command-line by itself, outside of FlashDevelop and see if it behaves correctly.

Try this: at the command line prompt, look for fdb.exe (it's in the 'bin' directory of the Flex SDK kit) and run it, by the way of your SWF as an argument, for example 'fdb myapp.swf' (or 'fdb myapp.html' If you want that it runs in a web browser).  He must launch the SWF and get out some lines that are very similar to the lines you see in FlashDevelop.  When you see the line 'Set breakpoints and then type "continue" to resume the session' (and you will certainly see it at least once), just type the command "continue."

It should work correctly, with the swf running with FlashDevelop and one that does not work with FlashDevelop.  By "work well", I mean, if you type "continue" whenever the prompt, finally just app will run normally. I do not guarantee as to how many times that the prompt.

Let me know how it goes.

  • How should I fill in the recent history of compensation if, after choosing "debug a script" and a new attempt, by selecting 'Clear now' no results?

I'm going to erase everything in the first four categories "clear recent history". I checked all four boxes and "clear now". There was a message from a plugin, but my Flash drive is running, if it's relevant. After the blue circle swirled for some time, there was a message about the script, so I chose "Debug Script". The box closed and now when I open "clear recent history" box "Form & search" is not checked, but the other three are. A file marked 'Old data from Firefox' appeared on my desk. When I select 'Clear now', the farm of the box, but nothing seems to happen, for example, no blue circle. I went to "subject: cache" and there, the files which, I suppose, should be removed if the tool has been a success. I tried refreshing Firefox and repeat the procedure, but it didn't seem to help. My 7 year old computer running Vista, and I think it's the latest version of Firefox. I hope someone can help this tech dinosaur.

What inputs do you still see?
Are only records of the web pages visited or some special entries?
Have you ever used external cleaning software?

You can try to manually clear the hard disk cache2 folder if there are still a few remnants entered.
You can find the location of the cache to disk on the subject: the cache page.

  • I want to disable firefox own debugging tools and use FireBug - how?

Firefox version 31.2.0 (sorry, cannot install any later version) + FireBug version 2.0.5 (now is the last). I want my web pages using the extension FireBug to debug, but I am unable to do this. I don't see a FireBug icon anywhere. When I press the F12 key, I do not see any window of FireBug. I see another instead of FireBug debugging tool. (Can be, there own tool of firefox). But this tool is not a good replacement for FireBug - it has much less features and not convinient in its use. Please, help me to go back to debugging in FireBug.

I found the solution by myself. And the solution is: FireBug DOWNGRADE to version 2.0.4 and disable autoupdates of it.
