MySQL Enterprise Backup 3.9 selective restore

Hello dear community,

I'm looking to implement a Setup master / slave replication MySQL MySQL Enterprise Backup. Some of the hosted databases undergo weekly updates in the form of controller releases and therefore the obligation to have a backup tool in place who can do the selective recovery of database which the point in time ability a plus. I read almost all the documentation of MySQL Enterprise Backup 3.9 and could not find anything about restoring databases individual that if the InnoDB engine. As I understand it, it boils down to a restoration of file level complete with playback of the journal insofar as how does this tool work?

Is it not possible with mysqlbackup to restore a database of individual sauvegardΘ, for example a complete picture, or did I miss something?

Host: RHEL 6.4

MySQL server: 5.5.28 - enterprise-sales-advanced-log

MySQL Enterprise Backup: 3.9 (latest version supported EL6)

3.9 is an older version.  3.12 and 4.0 are the latest versions.

Transportable Tablespace support was added in 3.10 and would not be mentioned in the docs of 3.9.

I noticed this problem a few days ago.  I don't know what could have caused the system to change behavior. The last good backup comes from 26/12/2010.  Protection system reports find no restore point on the disk (System), used for the creation of these previoiusly.

After reviewing some of the other threads on this site describing similar problems, I tried some of their recommendations without success (e.g. restoration rotating on and outside, software disabling AV and security, clean the system with Malwarebytes [he found something called "Closetmaid" and deleted] and Prevx, run CheckDSK, run the System File Checker [which is not able to fix the Desktop.ini but nothing else I've seen]) , and, of course, punctuated by reboots.

The behavior of the System Protection tool is it hangs at the opening for about 2 hours. or while displaying the message "searching for restore points.  Once completed, it lists the system drive and the external backup drive and no restore point (they were taken on the system drive).  The system drive is checked.  Select "Create" translates into another hit hour 2 or more, followed by nothing, either the error 81000101 - timeout.  Unchecking the system drive and clicking 'Apply' committed another shot of 2-3 hours, which finally ends.  However, the complete tool never leave once you click on 'OK '.

Backups performed for 20 initial minutes indicating approximately 20% of step and then simply stroll.  Each progresses of appearance (after some previous attempt of sanitation) running at exactly the same progression bar position before the hanging.  After a few hours, the backup process error 8004230F.  All the normal things have been verified.  The backup volume has enough free space (and was CheckDSK'ed, as well as the volume of the system being backed up properly), volume shadow copy service is started and running and its dependent services, RPC and DCOM are launched and running.

I noticed another suggests to fix vssui.dll in another thread (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistainstall/thread/9a7621ba-4cef-4264-a90c-87209e7e7d60) that I have not been able to apply and which is the re-registration of a series of dll, among them. I have no copy of vssui.dll on my system to record. It is listed under a Vista32 thread so I guess I should have it.

Other problems reported in the execution of the dll Re-recordings suggest the thread above were:

    (1) "ole32.dll module was loaded but the call to DLLREgisterServer failed with error code 80070005.

    (2) ' module loaded but the call to DllInstall eventcls.dll failed with error code 8000FFFF.

    (3) "es.dll loaded module, but the entry point DllRegisterServer was not found."

    (4) 'module vssui.dll failed to load."  Please make sure that...

    The other steps were successful.

I had this problem also (Win 7 Pro) on the new installation.  As others have said that it is through the VSS (Volume Shadow Service) feature be corrupted.

In my case, it was because of software that included drivers for my motherboard.  There is a backup/restore utility which took control of the "false" Windows Restore and VSS feature & backup of MS of the system.

Go to the system event log and sort through VSS.  Then search for errors on the VSS or the backup.  Is particularly important to look at the "Information" events that led to the error.  They are more revealing than the error itself real.  The error is misleading for me.  In any case, look in the Inbox details information for the process that was involved.  My bet is that you need a 3rd part/application that needs to be removed.

I have fought with this problem for weeks and stumbled on the errant software.  I did not intentionally install it.  So look for software that could have been bundled with other applications or drivers.

    Good luck

  • VM comments enterprise backup solutions

I'm looking for in an Enterprise Backup Solution that will allow me to save guest restoration VM encapsulated the encapsulated Vm Guest and let restores individual files.  What are the current solutions and Vmware or anyone else who is dating a good solution in the near future? The size of the environment has 250 hosts with approximately 15-25 comments on each host.  Current solution is using Netbackup with agents inside the guests.

I looked vRanger Pro connection but have some questions about this.  Is - this Enterprise Class to support the environment size above?  And for those that use for a large environment how this unloading is workload?  A small box of vRanger connection can't handle the backup of 5000 guests.  After reading the documentation that it sounded like he pushes the backup processing to the source host ESX virtual machine hosting is that correct?  I can then make a fiber optic connection or connection nfs for a camera of deduplication of data on other ESX host in the Cluster and say the task of using these connections on the ESX hosts to transmit the backup on the destination device to store the archive.  Is this correct?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Enterprise is a completely different animal than other Win10 versions and is NOT intended for personal use, but on the contrary, for commercial use - in situations where the operating system is installed and maintained by the it Department staff.

So, it doesn't have the convenience of restore consumer versions.

And Yes, since you didn't have (apparently) the foresight to make an image backup before installation of Win10, the ONLY way to return now is to do a factory reinstall using HP recovery media - and which erases the ENTIRE disc.

Since you have not bothered to inform any PC, you need to check yourself if HP makes these available recovery media.

It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs. You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update". If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entry and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

  • Windows complete PC Backup Image - impossible to restore the backup on my laptop after the restoration of the C drive.

My user profile is not loaded correctly, and so Sony told me to do a restore of the C drive which took my drive C back to factory settings and lost all my programs and files.  I tried since then to restore the Windows Image backup I did on my external hard drive.

I open backup and Restore Center, click Advanced Restore, click Advanced Restore again.  The box application to what you want to restore?  The only option is to files from a backup made on a different computer.  I click Next, and he said: select the location of the backup to restore.  Hard drive, cd or dvd option has already found new Volume (e), which is my external hard drive.

I click Next again, and he says, select dates to restore from.  The only option in the box is dated 2008-01-12 14:14:34 backup location is not available.  My external hard drive has multiple backups on it, including the Windows Backup Image (which was the first backup, I did and it contains 152 GB), and so I do not understand this.

I continue, and then click Next.  It now says select files and folders to be restored, but there is nothing in the box.  I have check the restore everything in this backup box and click Next.  I save the files restored to the following location - check and navigate to the C drive.  I also check both boxes: restore files to their original subfolders and create a subfolder for the drive letter.  I click on begin to restore, and then he said:

Restoration was unsuccessful.  Error: the parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057)

I'm desperate to be able to get my programs and files back on my laptop.  I don't understand why the restore function can not see my Windows Backup Image, and why this is so difficult.  I've read other complaints by users about this, but cannot find a solution.

I look forward to hear from you.

    Thank you.

    Hi HGHFaith,

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1 : Clean boot the computer and then try to restore

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

    If the problem persists,

Step 2: Run Check disk to repair bad sectors on the hard drive.

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. type E: (external drive) and press enter

    c. at the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

    Now, type chkdsk/r

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

Check whether the problem is resolved

  • Image Windows 7 Enterprise backup error 0 x 80780119

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise x 64 and try to run a backup to help to create a system image utility.  I have one physical drive partitioned into a 50 GB system partition and a 100 GB data partition.  There is also the system reserved 100 MB partition automatically created on that disk.  My system partition has 27 GB of free space and my data partition 60 GB of free space.  During the process of backup image, the utility automatically selects my system partition and the partition system reserved for the image.  I'm NOT selecting include my data partition in the image.  I note that the system reserved partition indicates that it is 62 MB usig, which leaves less than 40 MB of free space.  When the image is started, it fails immediately with the error code 0 x 80780119, indicating that I have 50 MB of free space on any partition less than 500 MB in total size and 320 MB of free space on a partition larger than 500 MB in total size.  My system partition has on the 320 MB of free space, but the system reserved partition has no minimum 50 MB of free space.

The system reserved partition would be the cause of the image backup has failed?  If so, why Windows 7 installation would create a 100 MB partition, use 60 MB and then have a requirement for 50 MB of free space to create the backup image?

  • Backup of items 10 restore XP - W7 dining - includes photos duplicated

    Hi, hope someone can help?

I am a new user of Elements10 and initially installed on your XP desktop.    I have since upgraded to Windows7 desktop computer and want to transfer my pictures and catalog items.  I performed a full backup of my catalog of the XP os, via the backup process in the elements (which says success) and perform a restore on the desktop of W7, retaining the original structure of the folder (also through items).

Despite this present several times, I always get error messages saying the restoration cannot restore a selection of .xml files, but if I continue with the backup it says finally 'successful '.

However when I compare the number of restored images, with the originals, it seems that I am more than 700 short filenames!       A little investigation shows that the restoration is not restore all images in double (the ones with the same names, but in different folders), but only to restore a copy of the image.    I can't check all 700 files individually, but can someone confirm if this expected behavior, so that I can stop worrying that I lost 700 + images?

    Thank you

    Steve

    stevew218 wrote:

Ah... According to my 1st post, I am a new user of elements.    My apologies, I was approaching it from the wrong direction!   I checked on my original XP disc and a catalog of items, and it seems that when I set up the original catalogue against my existing photos it did not all duplicate files, so the backup\restore is correct, it is original cataloging of my photos that have not worked as expected.     I have to do something specific to get the catalog to register the duplicate file names?

    Sorry for the misdirection

    Steve

    Steve,

The basic database management rule is to prohibit the duplicates.

In the case of the Organizer, it would mean a change of the two criteria (date to daken or file size in KB) mentioned. That would not be possible outside the Organizer by using external tools, but the problem is that you do not know which files are affected...

Now that you have restored your catalog in your new catalog, a theoretical solution would be to go back to the old catalog and use the Organizer to delete all the files in the catalog. The remaining would be duplicates. Create a new catalog empy and import the remaining files would be to recover all duplicates. You can then restore to the new PC.

    There are still two problems:

-You can not delete a large number of files at the same time? You need to remove small batch

-You will have all your copies in your new PC, but you will not always be able to include them in the main catalog, even you have now an extraordinary catalogue with only duplicates.

So, maybe the last question: why do you want to keep duplicates? You can review the catalogue of duplicates and see if they are really necessary. Perhaps you can live with two different catalogs.

Sorry, but you cannot go back to 9. It is not an option. I have two iPhone fives on iOS 10.0.2 with no problems. Your must not be crashing or overheating. I suspect a corrupted app that comes back with the restore of the backup. Can try a restore as new to test.

3rd party software would help you to create an image of the system partition.
There are different software on the market. I used the Symantec Ghost in the past.
This fold of the software image and stores it on the HARD drive or the second partition on the disk (CD or DVD). You can also create a bootable image.
This allows you to boot from the disk and reinstall the backup.

  • Windows backup without having to restore

    Hello

I'm trying to help back up my laptop (running Windows 7) moms for a removable hard drive to in order to free some space on his computer. I made the backup via the function "backup and restore". Even if he just said it's the backup, the last States of backup it is "never", but the space was taken over on the hard drive and when searching in the function "restore my files", the elements are there. Another question that I seem to have, it's that I can't find a way to just see the files, documents, photos etc that are stored on the hard drive. I know that I can restore specific files from the backup, but my mother would like to browse photos, etc. that are stored on the HDD without having to restore them.

I know when I back up my Mac on a removable hard drive, can I connect this drive and go through the items out there to my heart's content without having to put back them on the computer.

Is it all the same to be able to do this? I don't want to remove items from his computer without knowing she has a way to go to the backup.

    Thanks in advance,

    Amy

First of all, I do recommend Windows backup.  I recommend simple drag and drop copying of data files on the external hard drive.

The files copied it, should be fully accessible as well as on your Mac.  If this is not the case, there is a problem with the external hard drive.  If you used the same drive on your MAC, maybe that's the problem.  Formatting is not compatible between Mac and Windows.

You may need to reformat the external hard drive using NTFS of Windows before doing backups.

It is also possible that the external hard drive is a failure...  Download and run the software tester of the drive by the hard drive manufacturer to test the equipment.  View your hard drive model number (Device Manager) and I'll give you the link for the appropriate software.
